have been bringing my vehicles here for as long as I can remember. Mistakes happen, but they e always made it right in the past. Brought my wife's expedition in 2 weeks ago for new tires. once completed, I inspected the wheels and noticed they were covered in grease and had scratches all on the face of the wheels And gouges on the back where they pried the old wheel weights off with a screw driver. If it was an old car I wouldn't be so worried about it, but when you keep vehicles like new and work hard to keep nice stuff it's more than a slap in the face. Brought it to their attention and have since been told it's not their responsibility to worry about. Matt seems to be the only person who cares about the service he presents to customers. To anyone else it is an absolute joke running the service department. Would give 0 stars if it was an option. read more

Service department is pathetic! They have had my car nearly a month and it took me hounding them to get an answer to the problem. Then Dean lied and said it had been starting for them daily. BS! I called him on and was told Steve would call me back. I had to call. I talked to Doug who then got Steve to return my call. I was told he ordered the part and it would be in probably wed but for sure by Thursday. Thursday I'm told they have no idea when it will come in. So tomorrow I'm making a meet and greet . At this point they should pay me for the experience and chance to work on the car! It's a Mustang ! It's not like I took my BMW to them to work on. NEVER AGAIN! Battery did need replaced but how do you have a "service" performed by your dealer and this is still there. I have been to over 7 dealerships in the past 3 months looking for a new bronco. The sales staff was extremely nice (but that's also their job) However, when it came to the finance department & negotiations : couldn't be more disappointed. You'd think a gentleman with a 810+ credit score, a 30k+ trade in & $10,000 down payment would get I don't know, at least maybe 500-1000 wiggle room but this place wasn't willing to even work out anything at all. I should clarify- I am fully aware of the economy, the current strikes going on & the availability but come on. Every dealership I went to at least was willing to work with me. This place was over $6k KKB value & when mentioned, I was given a very sarcastic face. There is a difference between a dealership making money & just straight up ripping people off. As someone who worked for republic bank for over a decade focusing on exceptional customer service. I did not get that vibe whatsoever. If you don't care about a fair deal or being treated kindly, then definitively shop there! If you're like me & a realistic American - do not. A dealership 30 miles away with the same bronco with same mileage was willing to work with me & was able to at least help a little. I came in for a recall. I called to ask if I needed an appointment and was told that I did not, but that the recall would take all day. When I came in, the front desk said it would take several days to do my recall...but they don't take appointments so I'm subject to their whim. I need it done and this is my closest Ford service center, so I said I would leave it. I asked for a shuttle to take me home and they said their shuttle doesn't go to Floyd's Knobs...which is crazy because it is literally 7.2 miles away. I also have a Honda and they are just down the road from this Ford. Not only will they take me home to Floyd's Knobs, but they will also send their shuttle to pick me up to get my car. When I showed up for my oil change, tire rotation and to get my check engine light checked I was told it would be a day and a half, I would have to leave my car here, just for them to find out what the issue was on the check engine light when I was 95% sure I knew exactly what it was and just wanted them to double check. When I called to make my appointment I was NOT told I would have to leave my car here. Even tho I had a appointment they told me it would be 2 HOURS for a oil change and tire rotation, even tho I was one of the first people here. My fiancé and I visited this dealership looking to test drive the new Bronco... he is a fan and we are in the market for a new reliable SUV that is also a little sporty. We were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke and four salesmen sitting on their phones. We were honest and said that we were not looking to purchase the same day. After asking for our licenses to test drive we were peppered with several questions about where we work and live... after finally being able to go out and look at the car the salesman climbed in the back seat and as we were about to go for the test drive he said "You know if you're not looking to purchase today we don't want you putting miles on our vehicles for no reason." Very rude and not what is typically expected at a dealership of this type... needless to say we will not be returning or recommending this dealership. read more

What you know about Carriage Ford is that the service is seriously helpful. I have a list of examples a mile long, but I'll give you the latest one. We needed HID headlights replaced in our Ford Explorer. At no charge, a technician showed me how to replace one of the lights myself and after learning I was able to replace the other myself easy peazy. Now, they could have taken our vehicle in on a service appointment, installed the lights, and charged us for doing so, but they didn't. Boom. And that's why we continue to choose Carriage Ford when we need a shop to handle regular maintenance issues with our Ford Explorer. A hat tip to Craig in Service for looking out for us! read more

Needless to say, that's a little scary, spending that kind of money and not knowing what you're going to be stuck with until it shows up at your door and it's a done deal. Poorest customer service I have ever experienced with the people in the service department. I dropped off my 2018 Ford Edge to have a check in light evaluated on 11/16/22. A few days later I was told it needed a new engine which is on backorder. The engine came in 1/3/23 and 3 vehicles were in front of mine, would be 2-3 weeks. It was 11. I picked up my vehicle on 3/24/23. Multiple calls with service desk staff telling me "let me see what I can do and I will call you back" and never any response. I started going in person to get updates. We are short staffed, only 1 engine person over and over again, just a couple more weeks. Even speaking with the general manager, there's no explanation why the engine wasn't put in weeks ago. My vehicle was there for 128 days. I had to pay for a rental car that is supposed to be reimbursed, Ford Edge monthly payment and full coverage insurance while it sat for 4 months. Don't take your car here unless you have several thousand dollars to flush down the toilet. read more

If you really want to hear someone's crappy story keep reading, I'll try to keep it short.... I had a dead battery at 5:30pm on a weekday. I called Carriage Ford about getting a replacement battery and they told me to call Ford roadside assistance. They said they only handle temporary fixes and that I'd need to talk to the dealership. By the time I called Carriage Ford back it was 6pm and everyone had gone home for the day. I bought a replacement battery so I could get home that night and to work the next day. Carriage would not reimburse me for the battery. They did give me a new battery after I dropped off my old one but it took 5 business days and I couldn't return the one I'd bought from the auto parts store. The service tech said that it takes them 2 hours to test a battery... it only took Auto Zone 2 minutes. So I asked them how I could get the $120 I am out because they offer no help after 5pm when the service department closes. They actually suggested installing the replacement Ford battery in my car(myself) and taking the one I bought back to the store and lying to them that it was bad and demand a refund from them. Basically ask them to do what Ford would not. I wouldn't go back here if my car was on fire. :) read more

I went to Carriage Ford, as my family always has for vehicle purchases, when I was ready for my first new car at 23, a 2011 Fiesta. The salesman completely took advantage of me being a young female and I later realized I over paid... a lot. I tried to haggle and the car came with decals that were not applied and they said that was part of the price. I should have walked away then and there but I was young, naive, and excited about my first major purchase in life. I took my car in to Carriage Ford to get my window motor replaced. They fixed it which caused my door to flood with water every time it rained. I took it back and asked it to be fixed and also to replace a clip on drivers mirror cover. When I got my car back they had fixed the widow seal and glued the clip back together telling me it was new and now my radio/navigation system said "system fault". I asked them to look at it because there was nothing wrong with it when I took it in. The mechanic put it on a machine and said he would need to order a new one. I asked for paperwork and the mechanic said he would do it later. That is when the games started. That is backed ordered. That came in but went to another customer with the same car and same name and eventually went back. After a few months my radio/navigation started working again but I had no idea if it might go out again or not. I talked to the owner and he checked the parts department only to find out that no parts had been ordered for my car. I asked for the current paperwork for my car and was told they didn't have any. The owner said radio/navigation was working so everything was ok and offered me a free oil change. After I told him that it was his business and his responsibility, he finally agreed to have my radio/navigation checked out at my convenience. I was told that the mechanic who helped me no longer worked there so they couldn't discipline him only to have him call me an hour after talking to owner and tell me that he is still waiting on my parts to arrive. This process took months and was very frustrating. I was lied to on a constant basis for months. This place plays games. I don't trust them to touch my car. Beware. read more

I would like to thank everyone at Carriage Ford. I recently purchased a vehicle from them and through no fault of theirs had some problems. The service department went above and beyond with repairs. Dustin is a great guy. I still had reservations about the vehicle and talked to Mr. Dean Book. He told me if I had any more problems he would do whatever it took to satisfy my wife and me. Yesterday I returned and ask him what they could do. He did exactly what he said he would do. I now have a 2 year newer vehicle and there was very little difference in the price. I would also like to thank my salesman Jared Goodman and Chase Timberlake. Also a shout out to Derrick in finance. I would definitely recommend Carriage Ford to everyone. read more

I've taken my car, which is still under warranty, to Carriage Ford twice to be serviced. They are apathetic toward their customers and their documentation is subpar. I took my car into Carriage when the check engine light came on. They returned the car to me afterwards without going over any of the paperwork. They literally just told me that they had replaced the Catalytic Converter, handed me my keys, and told me that my car was somewhere out back. When I checked my account on Ford's website I learned that they had charged repairs to the Transmission, Clutch, and Axle to my warranty even though they never mentioned any of these repairs to me. The very next day the scheduled maintenance light came on. I was more than irritated that they had failed to mention that it was due for service. When I called and talked to the service manager he absolutely did not care about my concern. I asked him to schedule me an appointment for scheduled maintenance and he refused because apparently Carriage doesn't schedule service appointments for scheduled maintenance, they are all walk in only. I took my car back for the scheduled maintenance a few Saturdays later. I always get "The Works" which is supposed to include a battery test, oil change, tire rotation and pressure test, filter check, belt and hoses check, brake inspection, and several other services. There is a standard Ford form that I am always given that shows all of the inspection results. However, the employee at Carriage did not give me the form or tell me the results of any of the checks. When I asked he told me that they had staff who were off that day so they would have to mail the form to me. It hasn't arrived and I'm not holding out much hope that it will because I checked my Ford online account and they don't show that I ever took my car in for scheduled maintenance. Carriage is by far the most conveniently located dealership but I'll be skipping them in the future because I just can't stand their overall apathy and disorganization. read more

1) I submitted a service request online last Monday. By Wednesday, I had no reply, so I called the service dept. on Wednesday. I talked with Nick F. I explained the work I wanted done (150,000 mile service, replacement of cooling system hoses, coolant replacement and pressure test) and he told me I could go ahead and bring my car in Thursday morning and they would be able to get the work done on that day. 2) I dropped my car off on Thursday morning and Nick told me he would give me a call and let me know what the cost would be. 3) Late Thursday afternoon, I had not heard from Nick, so I called him. Nick, again, told me he would give me a call later that day with the pricing. He assured me that they had all the parts necessary to accomplish the work by Friday. (So, now the work is NOT being done on Thursday, but Friday). 4) Nick never called me on Thursday. 5) Friday morning comes. I called Nick to find out what was happening with my car. He, again, tells me that he will call me with the pricing. 6) Friday afternoon comes. No call from Nick, so I called him. Again, he tells me call me with the info real soon. 7) Late Friday afternoon. No call from Nick, so I called him. Now, he tells me they have looked at the car and need parts to replace the cooling system hoses, BUT that all the work for the 150,000 mile service is accomplished. The hoses will be in hand Monday. I tell him I need to pick my car Saturday morning. 8) Saturday morning comes. I arrive to find out that the ONLY work done to my car is an oil change... 9) Nick never called me once during this whole process. He never kept his word about anything. He flat out lied to me on every phone call. read more

I scheduled my car to have a recall and a warranty covered transmission issued to be fixed two weeks in advanced. I dropped the car the night before, I was told it would take 4 hours to fix these issues. At 1:00 pm, I called to check on the status of my car. I was told that someone would call me back in 15 min. An hour later after not receiving a call back, I called again. I was placed on hold for 15 min and then told someone would call me back again. After another 30 mins and no call back, I called again and finally was told that my car would be completed by 5 pm. I picked up my car at 5 pm, the young man behind the counter was much more interested in talking with his female co-worker than talking with me. I had to point out my keys and paperwork sitting in front of him. He never acknowledged me or the service they performed. They did two recalls and did not do the transmission fix. To add insult to injury, Ford sent a survey about their performance, I filled it out truthfully. I received an automated response from Carriage Ford with a name and contact number, Kiara Peterson at (812) 284-4444 x123. Just a heads up, she doesn't work there any longer, the person who replaced her, Nick, determined since it was a service issue it wasn't his problem and promptly shuffled me off the phone . Well, buying a car from them will not be a problem I will ever have again either. It is sad, my father retired from Ford, and I hate that this is the type of customer service that is representing a product he spent his life building. Stay away from this dealership. WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I would have given a 0 but that isn't an option. A one trip service visit turned into 3 plus 3 phone call and a difficult time receiving a refund for being charged twice for the same service. The manager Doug Book, the service manager and service tech Matt Thompson all have no idea the impact poor customer service can have on their business. None of these men showed any want to resolve my vehicle's issue, just get in, get paid and kick U out the door. Was blown off 3 times. My family (Mother, Father and 8 siblings) have bought almost all our vehicles from Carriage Ford over the past 20 years. After this experience we ALL will be buying our vehicles elsewhere. Terrible service!!!! I've taken my 2016 Edge here twice for repairs. The first time for intermittent no start. Left it there for a couple days, was told we needed new spark plugs (although my husband had just replaced them), so they replaced plugs ($380). Next day same issue, so we took back in and was told that it needed an engine (66,000 miles). No one looked at it the service manager just came out and told us Ford was having a lot of issues with that engine. Got an estimate for $9000, Ford agreed to pay $5000. so The next three weeks we spent trying to get ahold of service manager (he was on vacation, test driving a car, at lunch, we just can't find him right now ). Finally get him on the phone and he tells us that he ordered engine and he'll let us know when they can start on it. Another month goes by and no word. So we took it to Jim O'Neil, they confirmed that it did need an engine and could put one in for $5300. Carriage did call two months later to let us know they could start on our car . Fast forward a year later and they car starts dying on me, no lights, just dying. Jim O'Neil can't get it in for a week so I call Carriage (I know - not a good idea) and they said they could get it in on Thursday, I informed two people I need to make sure this gets in because the rental car place is charging me $100 a day, they both assure me not a problem. Dropped off Wednesday afternoon go back Thursday, 4:30, the guy tells me the technician said I have a collision light on, front view camera light on and some other light on. I said no, I didn't have any lights on it was just dying. He tells me The tech has already went home but he'lI call me in the morning....no call. I go back on Friday afternoon nothing else has been done so I told them I had to take the car. Asked why I have lights on now that I didn't have before and what about dying problem. He responds by telling me "it needs to go to the electrical guy and he's busy, I don't know what else to tell you". I asked to speak to a service advisor, he was at lunch and wouldn't be back for at least another hour. Paid the $100 charge. Sure enough I started the car and have these messages on and car is still dying. Called service manager at 4:30 and was told he had left at 4 but would be back in Monday between 8:30 and 9:00....wish I had his hours. Service department is an absolute joke. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! Giving a one star because it wouldn't let give zero. read more

Very poor place to do business. Went there multiple times for the same repair and received it back in worse condition. They damaged my vehicle and new parts. I test drove a truck and was quoted a price by a salesman. Needed a day to think about sale. When I called to set up a time to come in to purchase the truck, I was quoted a price that was much higher. Salesman said a mistake was made and he was sorry. Called owner (Marty Book) and complained and he would not stand up to the quoted price. Bait and Switch! Be careful dealing with this Dealership. My check engine light lit up on a 2-year old Mercury Mariner I got from CarMax. I should have taken it back there for service but against my better judgment I went to Carriage Ford because they're closer, knowing I'd probably be gouged for service. Well my car has the fuel filler system without a gas cap that automatically seals itself, and apparently the contact was dirty so it seemed open. They charged me $120 to hook it up to the computer and clean it. I spoke with the service manager who defended the 1.5 hours of labor by saying "well that's what Ford would have paid us", pretty much admitting they "take what they can get" instead of charging a fair price. To top it off, their shuttle driver "called in sick" that day, so even though I'd asked specifically about shuttle service they couldn't take me back to work. I give them 1 for quality because I guess they cleaned the gas cap pretty well since the light is off now. I'll never go to the dealer for service again, especially Carriage. read more

Had my 2010 Ford F250 steering box begin to leak at 100,100 miles and asked Carriage Ford to investigate in Jan 2018. They advised the steering box was leaking and needed replacement. I had Carriage replace the box for $1,065. In March 2018 I drove the truck with my wife, dog, and 10,000 lb. fifth wheel trailer to my new home in Portland Oregon area. A trip of about 3,500 miles over 3 weeks. As we drove west the truck steering gradually became loose and keeping the truck on the road slowly became more difficult. By the time we arrived in Portland the stress of driving had injured my shoulder and required a month to heal. Upon inspection we discovered the large nut holding the pitman arm to the bottom of the steering box was loose, in fact the nut was 1/8th turn from falling off. If the nut falls off the steering is 100% disconnected. The pitman arm had fallen about 1 inch down the steering box splines and was nearly disconnected. I had the Vancouver, WA Ford dealer repair the problem. It required them to remove the steering box to properly torque the nut on the pitman arm to 300 ft/lbs. It cost me $614 to fix the problem. The only way for this situation to develop was the failure of Carriage Ford to properly install the new steering box in Jan 2018, and torque the pitman arm nut. The nut on the steering box is not locked with cotter key or any other method other than torque. That's why the technical order requires so much torque. I contacted Mr. Dean Book at Carriage Ford to seek payment for the repair. Mr. Book asked me to call back when I had the exact amount and details from the Ford repair shop. I have been trying to contact Mr. Book daily for 2 weeks. He no longer takes my calls, typically screening me with his administrative assistant. Now we are in the avoidance phase. I recommend you avoid this Ford dealership at all times, seek other venues to buy or repair your car. The ethics of putting a family's life at risk and not paying for the repair is unacceptable. We are extremely happy with the service we had purchasing our first new vehicle from Carriage Ford!!! When we first meet Izzy, we asked her to keep it real and honest with us and in return we would show the same respect and try buying a car there. She kept that promise as did we. We thank you for that, and will keep coming back because of that! Izzy and Chase were extremely helpful to us and walked us thru the whole process and made sure we understood every step. i NEVER thought id be buying a new vs used vehicle in my budget. Thank you for helping me with the A plan that we didnt understand! Also, I am very impressed with the amount of time giving to us helping us pick our new vehicle with NO PRESSURE. I steered away from car lots for several years afraid id be taken, you all have done nothing but help us. Worst Customer Service EVER. The Tire Pressure Sensor Fault light kept coming on in my 2010 Fusion, with 70,000 miles. When I purchased the car and had the warranty transferred to my name, the salesman didn't inform me that there was a deductible of any sort, just that if it needed to be serviced, they would go off the VIN number. My daughter took the car to Carriage today to have the sensor replaced, which they did. However they didn't inform her that there would be a fee of $120.00 BEFORE they did the work. Where in America do you repair someone's car without giving them an estimate of the charges. Of course I voiced my displeasure and it got me no where. Carriage should have absorbed that because it was their mistake. They wouldn't, so I had them remove the sensor. They offered to cover the cost of my next oil change......big whoop. Never again. I will take my warranty work and any other auto business to some other dealer with better customer service standards. read more

Took my 2003 Ford Focus to Carriage Ford for an oil change and the check engine light was on. Dropped car off at 9:00 am and didn't hear from anyone until after lunch. Finally Melanie in service called me, told me I would need a new catalytic converter for $1900. I asked what the code read which was P0420, which could be any of the following; bad oxygen sensor, engine coolant tempature sensor not working, damaged or leaking exhaust manifold, muffler or exhaust pipe, among a list of others. Of course Carriage Ford picked the most expensive repair to suggest to me. Then after I paid for the oil change and diagnostic they failed to fill out my Multi Point Inspection paperwork, which is one of the reasons I even took my car there for the oil change then I went to pick up my car and no one could find where it was. Carriage Ford is one of the most disorganized and unfriendly to customer businesses I have ever been to. They were all about the money and not the customer. Once I told them not to order the catalytic converter their attitude toward me totally changed since they were not going to make a hunk of cash off of me. On top of that, after I complained about the service, my son overheard one of their sales people say "I wish that B*tch would get out of here". Well they never have to worry about me EVER coming to them for service again. read more
