I purchased a 2026 Honda Passport. With less than 3,000 miles, I discovered the driver's side floor to be wet. The drain tube from the moonroof that runs down the "A" pillar on the driver side (which is the pillar that supports the windshield) was not installed during manufacturing. Rainwater pooled underneath the moonroof (which is normal and does happen when the vehicle is operated during rain). Instead of running through the drain tube, which runs through the aforementioned "A" pillar and draining harmlessly on the outside of the vehicle, it ran in the headliner, down the interior of the "A" pillar, then through the dash and onto the floor, causing the floor to get wet. Now, I filed a claim with Honda of America. Per Honda of America, the dealership, in writing now, claims no moisture behind the dash. Both the dealership and Honda of America so state no moisture behind dash. Even though the path for the water to get to the carpet would need to travel through the dash in order to get to the floor. Now I have a CARFAX showing a wet floor - I wonder how that affects resale value now and in the future? Previous to the final written explanation from the dealership of no moisture discovered behind the dash, I spoke with the service manager who stated moisture behind the dash and floor when discussing my vehicle. This repair is being written off as good enough and customer be gone. I dropped my car off on Sunday July 5th and picked it back up Tuesday July 28th. If it truly was a drain tube that needed to be installed and no other work to be done, why the delay? What took so long? I bought, in good faith, what I thought was a "fully" manufactured vehicle. What I was sold was a vehicle not fully manufactured which caused water damage. And, no other concessions offered. I'm being told, well...you have a 3-year, 36,000 mile warranty. Here I am left wondering if the corrosion from water is going to rear its ugly head past the 3-year warranty. Or if I will end up with mold under the carpet because neither the carpet nor the insulation was removed and replaced. I clearly expected more when I purchased a Honda product. I also expected more from the dealership with differing stories from the service writer, service manager who stated, and the mechanic. I am terribly disappointed. read more

Get better mechanics to do the job and that they do care about what they are doing. A friend of mine help me out to get an oil change done and did a very very bad job they never replaced the drain plug gasket which is very important on aluminum oil pans cuz they tend to leak. I went to do my own oil change because they put the wrong oil in it and so I went to go change it and The drain plug felt like it was they used an impact to it , it was very hard to get off I had to use my foot to kick it off. very poorly done. I knew I could get a better deal. I was in contact with Tyler at Neil Huffman via email. One Monday my afternoon freed up and I dropped by. They knew I only had 2-3 hours on hand, in that much time they managed to give me a great deal on a lease (which is what I was looking for) at about 40% cheaper then at Honda World. They also didn't have the color I wanted, but within about 15 minutes they called around and scheduled one to be in the NEXT DAY. The next day I brought my wife to come pick up the car, it was clean, heated up (cold outside) and ready to go after a couple last signatures. **UPDATE** I returned to NHH the next day to speak with the manager of the Service Dept. Richard was very understanding of my frustrations and realized/explained where the misstep took place. To ease my mind in anticipation of a long drive with 2 young children, he offered to re-service the vehicle at no charge to me. This was completed in a timely manner and was very much appreciated. Definitely above and beyond the service we had received the previous day. I would say that Richard saved face for NHH and if things continue to go well at future appointments, we may remain loyal customers (as we have been for the last 7 years and 3 cars!). Prior to today, I would have given a higher rating, but I cannot overlook the poor experience, lack of concern and empathy of my service today. My spouse and I have purchased 2 vehicles from NHH, both of which have the additional Eckbond interior/exterior protective coating package. To take advantage of this additional cost, you have to call and schedule an appointment- that alone is a hassle because every time I've called, I've had no less than 3 transfers between depts before I get someone that knows what I am talking about! Last week, I called and scheduled my Eckbond appointment for today. I told the financier during our phone call that my car would be dropped off in the morning, prior to the appointment for other needed maintainence. I am told that's fine, just to let them know at check in that I also had an appointment for Eckbond. I followed all instructions given- removed car seats, debris and personal artifacts- prior to drop off at the service dept and was absolutely sure to let them know that I also had this service scheduled as well. I'm assured all's well and I would get a call when my car was ready. Five hours AFTER my appointment should have been completed, no call from NHH. I had to call and was told they weren't sure and a return call would be necessary. Within 30 mins, I have a return call, car is done, GREAT! Until 2 hours later when I arrive at NHH...no one could locate my car keys or my car for 30 minutes. My keys weren't with reception, and the receptionist states "Our only Eckbond customer was at 10 this morning and that person never showed up!"...uhhh... that was MY appointment and my car has been here ALL DAY. Finally, after 4 other people joined the search, my keys and car is located in the back lot (all cars that have completed services are usually parked up front). We're notified the Eckbond service was not completed and better yet it appears as if the other maintenance that the vehicle was dropped off for was also not done. The service manager was gone for the day and the sales manager was completely useless in answering any questions. Rather than expressing empathy and understanding, all questions and concerns were met with some form of "I'm a sales manager, that's not my dept" or conflicting responses and blame. Attempts to gain further understanding as to what happened and what services were rendered (if any!) we're met with rudeness, attitude and deflection from the sales manager. Now I'm going to have to reschedule my service for another day. Something that is hard to coordinate when working full time and having 2 children that require safety seats (which need removed for this service). I Will Not Buy a Car From Neil Huffman Honda in Clarksville. We have leased two cars and bought one from them over the past few years. The first two transactions were fine. The third one wasn't bad but irritated me some. My current lease is ending so I went to see what options are available. Let me say, my credit isn't fantastic. It's not terrible, but could be better. Part of my credit problem is due to what caused the irritation with my third transaction. I knew going in we would not have many options because of credit, so I knew not to be picky. They pulled my credit to give me as estimated payment for a car we had not mentioned or considered. They had done two hard pulls for this. After some back and forth and confusion over the phone, I just went down there. I had stated I'd like to consider some used options instead of leasing new. He found a few and I liked one. I was told it was in our price range and took it for a test drive. Before leaving I told them not to pull my credit until we decide. My husband also liked it, and we started thinking it was the one we wanted. Then, before we could make a decision, they tell us that they actually can't finance that one to us due to our credit. We have to buy or lease something new. I don't understand that, but ok. I'm sure there are reasons I wouldn't think of to explain why. We go inside and sit back down looking at other options. After some discussion, we decide to test drive another car. As I'm waiting for the salesman to bring up the car, I notice several new emails and look. Multiple emails notifying me of hard inquiries on my credit report. So I go take a look. I now have six hard inquiries on my credit. From that day. I had five from the last transaction. So I now have 11 from them. Each can deduct up to five points from my credit score and stay for up to two years. On at least four occasions during our discussions of this transaction, I asked them not to pull anything until we knew what we wanted. They did anyway. When I pointed it out, he apologized but did not offer to do anything else or like it was even a big deal. For someone trying to repair their credit, it is a big deal. Also at that location previously, I have been lied to forcing us to buy out our lease when we did not want to. I feel like I have been taken advantage of for being ignorant and trusting in past transactions. There are great car salespeople. I do not think I have encountered them at Neil Huffman. I did try to text my salesman for an explanation why they did this when I had asked them not to. No response. I emailed the general manager and explained the situation. No response. They may act like they care and want to help you while still helping the business, but if they make a mistake they won't make it right. Or even admit they did wrong. I have used this dealer's service department for several years for basic oil changes and rotations. They have signage at the front that advertises a "$49.95" oil change. I even sign an agreement up front for that charge. However, when complete and I went to pay the charge, they added a $3.95 fee for "parts and supplies". What??? The clerk said it was for rags, etc. and that any dealer anywhere charges such a fee. This is a first for me even with this dealer. That's like paying a service charge for the dirty spatula that turns the burger. It's total BS and they know it. The clerk's comments just insulted my intelligence. Rather than entering into a futile complaint about it, I paid without comment. To me this is false advertising and will cause me never to patronize or recommend them even though it's really an insignificant sum. It's the darn principle. My experience was beyond sub-par and frustrating. Scheduled a recall replacement appointment and was advised a loaner would be provided if needed. Once I arrived and brought the car through, they asked if I planned to stay and I mentioned that it was discussed for me to have a loaner car ready as I had other errands to run and I drove across the bridge (KY-IN). No apology was given but I was told that I was ill informed and they could not accommodate. Do NOT be persuaded to buy Gap insurance from Neil Huffman Honda in Clarksville when making a purchase. We were told if we cancelled our gap insurance before 2 years, we would get a prorated refund of our gap premium. We made the purchase of a new Honda Ridgeline in Jan 2022 and paid over $700 additional for gap insurance. We called both the gap insurance company and Neil Huffman on Nov 8, 2023 ( well before the 2 year deadline) and cancelled coverage. We were advised our refund would be over $500. 4 months later we have not received the refund despite bi- weekly calls and emails to Duncan and Eric in the finance department and Dave Grover the general manager. Both the insurance company and Neil Huffman confirm the cancellation snd the refund amount. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT purchase from this dealership. They will not return phone calls or emails to us to resolve this simple matter. This does not convince us they would handle any other issue any differently. Neil Huffman Honda is definitely the way to go if you're looking for a trusted, honest dealership that sells and leases brand new Hondas and used vehicles. They have an excellent sales staff and every time I call with questions or for service I am always greeted by a friendly associate and my questions are answered and appointments set in a very timely manner. I started my lease in April of 2015 (2015 Honda Civic LX) and it was an easy process and the sales associate that I worked with (Bill) worked extremely hard to get me approved for a car. I walked in with a Volkswagen Cabrio with a totaled title and no money down, at age 20 with only some established credit and he worked hard to get me a great car at a fair price per month. All of the staff that I have come in contact with have been friendly and clearly like their job. The service center is also great. You can call to schedule an appointment or set one up online. My appointments always take the exact amount of time that they say it will and there are no maintenance lights left on and no grease prints, which as I'm sure you all know is a big pain when getting cars serviced. Prices are clearly labeled upon walking in and are fair to me. I will say if you lease a Honda you get several services as a courtesy, like four or five oil changes and two tire rotations. Overall: A fantastic selection of vehicles, both new and used, with a great sales staff and a reliable service center have probably made me a customer for life (well, until I can upgrade to an Acura). I've never been a Honda fan until I got one and the service that I receive and the absolute joy it is to have a Honda has turned me around. Horrible! Stay far away from this place! I bought a 2011 Honda Odyssey (my second car from them) for $10000, 4 months later, the air went out and something was leaking- ok $1100 gone. The car started acting up on up first long trip- the engine light came on and we had it towed to the shop. They told me it needed the 100000 mile maintenance (it had over 100000 when we bought it) and it would be $1850, and that might fix the issue. When I picked it up to take it to another shop, they had all the recommended maintenance on it and it was over $5400!! Were they going to sneak that in if I said ok to the repair?? I was told $1850 and some other "minor" things, not $5458. How is anything in that price minor! They received a lot of my money this year, but not anymore!
