Pizza was delicious; crisp crust bubbly crust, a light tomato sauce that wasn't too thick or over seasoned and I could tell they used blended cheeses, not just mozzarella. They were very polite & opened doors for customers going out with large pizzas or carried the boxes to the car for people as well. We have ordered from Carrico's twice now. Both times it was awesome. I can not remember the last time I had a pizza so well dressed. I asked for double pepperoni and I really got it. Pam asked for a well done crust and we got it. There toppings are very genrous and the dough is very fresh. You can smell the fresh dough as you walk in. Wow. The sauce was incredible. We got a supreme pizza as well. I had a piece and here are my thoughts. Sauce was excellent. Crust was good. Overall taste was above average. Pricing was very good. For a medium (which was a very large medium) deluxe pizza, lasagna (which came with a salad and garlic knots), and three drinks, our total was $44. Authentic NY style pizza- and my husband who's from upstate NY confirms! The Deluxe pizza wowed him; ample toppings! I had pepperoni, mushrooms and onions on my pizza (see picture). We put our pizzas in our oven after getting them home; they needed a longer bake. The two guys running the place sure know their pizza, but they need to get marketing! No website, no carry out menu. I never think to leave a review, but Carrico's deserves it. Frequent flyer at Picasso's, Rock-n-Dough, but Carrico's pizza is easily the best pizza in town. It's honestly just perfect, tastes amazing, and there are so many other options to choose from if you don't fancy a pie. Everything seems very high quality and fresh, with that richness you crave from a really good slice of pizza. Dough is not too thick or thin, and the slices are huge and kind of "droopy" (which is my preference). The setting is not anything to write home about, and I always order take-out to eat at home, but I wish they did have a more "date-friendly" atmosphere because the food is top-notch. read more

I really love the individual slices of pizza. I tried a slice of cheese pizza. The crust was crisp and the cheese definitely had a nice pull to it! I was very excited to try the spaghetti with eggplant, and it was simply delicious. The prices here are phenomenal, especially for the amount of food you're getting. Ridiculous good. Had the lobster ravioli and the sauce was the highlight. So good. Also had a slice of pepperoni pie. Thin crust isn't my favorite but this was excellent. Salad was apparently fresh chopped and the cheese was grated right before it came to the table. The cannoli was decent. A little bit crunchy for me but still delicious. Do not let the simple decor deter you from trying this restaurant. It is a simple storefront w/ inside dining. The tables aren't fancy and they serve their food on paper plates. To me that is not a big deal as long as the table is clean and I have a place to sit. What is a big deal to me is the food and service and this place was excellent. I'm from St. Louis and was visiting my son and his family in Jackson. My son had been here before and had only had pizza so far. We all went for supper and were very impressed. Some of my family ordered pizza so I got to try it and I can say their pizza is great. I ordered the lasagna and was blown away at how good it was. Like I said, it was served on a paper plate but I can honestly say it was some of the best lasagna I've ever had. Paper plates are no big deal. The cost savings goes into the quality of their food. I'd love to be able to go get that lasagna again in my own town. I also ordered the hot wings. They were crispy and covered with a good hot sauce. My son and I both loved them. Now understand this is not Grissanti's in Louisville. They are competing with Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Domino's, Little Ceasar's,etc. This is their competition! With that in mind, they blow away all of them. I give them five stars based on who they compete with. My wife is sensitive to fake cheese, and she had zero issues with Carrico's. I had an early lunch here and I was very pleased with everything! The young girl at the counter was very patient with me when I asked 5 questions in a row. The pizza was perfect. They have slices but I always like to order a whole pizza because it heats up really well in the oven. I also ordered wings (Buffalo sauce)... was just the right amount of spice. All of the staff is consistently friendly. We have dined in probably 5 times and take out 3 times ...! and each time has been a really good experience.
