They always have delicious food at the lunch buffet. It's always clean and the food is always restocked very quickly. They also take your plates when you're done so you can get more food. I've never had a bad experience here. The buffet prices have gone up in recent years due to inflation, but the food still tastes as good as it always has, and I've been going since I was a little girl and they had the one location in south Jackson. The pizza, cheese bread, and pasta is always delicious, and the salad bar is good too. The dessert pizza and breads are equally as tasty. They also have an arcade in the back (which I always loved as a kid after going to the dentist next door). I highly recommend Snappy Tomato if you want good quality, delicious food. read more

In town for one night, and was considering Mexican...but decided against it. This order was a pickup job. Buffalo Grilled Chicken pizza without green peppers and onions. It was TASTY. Decent size for a medium. Service was as good as the food as it was ready right on time. All COVID-19 precautions are in effect here with employees wearing masks and requiring them for customers. Found this place when I decided to walk around near my hotel to find lunch. My 11 year old said pizza sounded good so we headed in. Decided to do the pizza/salad buffet which was about $7.50 per person. Salad was cold, fresh and crisp. Limited toppings and dressings. Pizza was good-6-8 varieties plus dessert pizza. Being from Chicago originally my expectations for pizza are very high--self proclaimed pizza snob here! With that said pizza was what you would expect from a buffet and was good but not great. More harm than good when it comes to your body, but damn this place is pretty solid with a pizza buffet and salad buffet. You pay $9.75 that includes all you can eat with a drink. My gluttonous family insisted on coming here last night for dinner which surprisingly was not packed. I assume it is due to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend which worked out perfectly for us. Any other weekend there would be a wait and a line out the door to get in. The buffet is very fresh, and you are able to put in requests for any sort of pies your blessed little heart desires. If you want a BBQ and anchovies pizza, they'll make it. I just hope no one would ever want that, but if you did -- they'll prepare it. As far as dessert pizzas go, they've got chocolate, apple, peanut butter and chocolate, and so on. Not much more though. I personally didn't like any of them. I just don't particularly care for dessert pizzas in any form so I am biased. Bring the family and come famished, don't eat for at least 7 hours before coming here if you want to get your money's worth. LOL Gluttony at its finest. read more

After a 10 hour trip and checking in at the Comfort Suites, we were hungry but didn't feel like going out. There was an ad in our room for the Snappy Tomato so we thought we'd give them a try. We ordered the BBQ chicken pizza and wow, it was amazing! We loved the chunks of chicken and the pizza dough/crust was so good that I ate every one of the crusts on my pizza even though I don't typically do that (I am selective with my carbs, haha). Super friendly service and great food. Don't know that we'll ever be in the area again, but if we are, we will be back! read more

We have loved Snappy's ever since they opened this location MANY years ago. While my kids were little, we went often and ordered out a lot. My husband and I would go for the lunch buffet while we were working in Jackson many times each month and it was always wonderful, until now... Apparently, this location got new owner a couple of years ago and it SHOWS! Less than a year ago, we ordered a pizza to bring home. Got home and it was OBVIOUSLY left overs from the buffet that day as none of the pieces matched with the next and cut edges were dried. Management was super rude and berating, saying they would never do that and not apologetic at all about the situation. Well, we went for the buffet this past Saturday. It was crowded so we were deciding whether or not there was a place to sit when the lady at the register yells at us from several feet away, asking how many of us there were and pointed to a table. We ordered, got 3 glasses for our beverages. The 2 water cups were stacked together along with something green! As I paid, I asked for new cups and pointed this out, and as I was speaking she interrupted and said it was just water and they'd just come from the washer, that they all looked that way. I made her give me new cups anyway, trying not to raise my voice back at her. She was rude, zero personality, no smile, no thank you, nothing but a scowl. The pizza isn't like it used to be. In my mind, this is the best pizza in town. The staff and owners there are super friendly, and are willing to accommodate for whatever kind of pizza you desire. My favorites there include the loaded potato skin pizza, and the ranch pizza. You can't go wrong with either one of those. The salad bar is top notch as well, with always very fresh veggies and dressings. Full disclosure, I used to work there 10 years ago but I would say this is a good thing as I see that they operate and very clean restaurant in a comfortable environment. Very good prices and I would recommend it for everyone and you can order pizzas to go, if you do ask for the garlic cups they are delicious to dip or drizzle over pizza.
