This one was a miss for me! (Coffee only, didn't try food) Convenient location, theres no decent coffee shops now that Belltower closed in Arlington, so this was the closest place. Cute shop, loved the holiday decorations and festive drink menu options. Unfortunately, their espresso isn't great. I always know a place isn't going to be good when they have a million syrup flavor options. If you like sugary flavored drink you'll probably be okay with it. I had a hot latte and it wasn't very good. Ambience was good, service was extremely friendly and attentive. Nothing bad to say about the service. Just didn't like the coffee, which was why I went. It's a nice little coffee place but the service could be better. They close at 5 pm but asked people to leave at 430 stating ' some of the workers need to leave'. It was a regular day .. no bad weather whatsoever. The cafe was 50% occupied. Looks like usually close earlier than their scheduled time. I'm a bit of a coffee snob and therefore like to keep my drinks simple and focused on the coffee. Love the plain lattes from Carrington! Also love their selection of pastries, including gluten free ones. Top that all off with super sweet and friendly workers and you can see why this is my (almost) daily coffee stop! During our trips out of town, we usually like to check out independent coffee shops to get a taste of the local flavors. We found this coffeehouse not too far from our hotel and decided to try them out. The outside of the building is beautiful, though it's situated on the first floor of an apartment community. Walking in, we were greeted by the baristas who patiently explained what their menu options were. After we placed our order, we patiently waited over on the side for our coffee to come out. It was during this time that we saw the baristas lose a bit of their professionalism by joking and kidding with each other. We get it, it's important to have fun at work, but we were waiting for our order to come out and they seemed to take their time after we paid. Also, the coffee we were given lacked any distinct flavor profiles that would set them apart from its competitors. It seemed as if they use run of the mill espresso beans from Starbucks or Peet's Coffee where the beans are often burnt and lack any distinct notes. Too much milk was used, even for a cappuccino. Overall, they were depressing espressos and we felt like we overpaid for what we received. read more

Taste is okay, kind of reminds me of the quality from the coffee maker at work, tastes watered down. Almost $5 for an americano, which means that the latte was about $7-8 (price wasn't listed on the chalk board or on the receipt) and again the taste of the latte was just okay, very sweet and one note, that is quite pricey. It's a shame because the baristas and staff are really nice and helpful. The atmosphere is intimate, but yikes for the price and taste... I might as well stick to making Folgers at home. To the GM or owner, maybe it's time to try different coffee beans? Edit: since there is no way to reply on this platform, here is a response to the owner. I appreciate you recognizing that there was a mistake made. I would love to give the Americano another shot. This was a quaint local coffee house, great atmosphere! Not at all equipped for larger groups. There were 3 young ladies working. I ordered a small cold brew, plain, for $4.27, the lid was oversized, resulting in leaking. My son ordered a build your own sandwich. It was $9.40 for the base (bread and cheese), $5.15 for added turkey and an additional $4.22 for ham= $18.77 for a coffee shop sandwich. I questioned this and was told, " that is correct, it's just our system and there is nothing I can do." Extremely over priced for just ok quality food. read more

I went there couple times but recently was quite frustrated with their service. I ordered Matcha and told them no sugar. However the drink is so sweet. They told me this Matcha powder is with sugar but why they did not tell me upfront before I ordered? And no sorry at all. I don't really need sorry but the service is not good at all. My husband and I came in today for our weekly coffee date where we try out new coffeehouses and whilst this place is very cute, clean and looks to be like a good hang out atmosphere and had a very nice woman behind the counter, the place has a very confusing ordering system. I ordered 2 large flavored blended iced coffees and when she asked us if we wanted "any cold brew or espresso in our drinks", we thought she meant as in regular iced coffee vs a longer cold brewed coffee, but apparently she thought we were ordering 2 cups of blended flavored milk with ice.... We paid almost $20 for 2 cups of milk with ice and syrup... two stars deducted for that because we didn't actually even get to taste any coffee during this visit. The sweetened cold milk made me a bit nauseas on a hot summer day so we didn't really enjoy it this time around. So another star deducted for that. I think it's safe to say that it's more common occurrence that a person is ordering an iced coffee drink as opposed to just milk with ice but I guess maybe we just looked like milk lovers or something. Overall, this place only gets a neutral rating because it was clean, staff was polite, and it looked cute to hang out in while you're working on a paper or something on your laptop or just want to catch up with some friends. But definitely be VERY precise with your orders otherwise you'll be stuck with $20 milk. I might revise this review if we ever give this place another try but the drive was absolutely not worth it for us today. REVIEW IS EDITED TO REPLY TO OWNERS COMMENT : You should ask whoever the female was that was working yesterday around 3/4pm what happened exactly because it was 100% just blended milk with ice and syrup in the cups we paid for. She brought them out to our table and they were white. I think possibly she was just overwhelmed and forgot to actually add the coffee because shortly after we ordered, numerous others came in and she had more orders to handle. Which was also the only reason I didn't come back and ask for a refund as soon as we tried the drinks in the car. I felt bad that the place was now full of people and she seemed busy. I have hesitated to write this review, because I like to support coffee shops and sometimes they are good but recently, the service has been an inadequate especially when given an order of a few items. The only time we get good service is if the owner is there and does it herself. About 2 Fridays ago I placed an order of 6 drinks, I called ahead of time so the items would be ready by the time I got there since I was grabbing this for the office, I need to be back at a certain time. They told me it would take 15 minutes but it took 45 minutes and two of the drink orders were still incorrect. Today we tried again with a simple avocado toast that I've gotten previously but today it was sad. Previously the avocado toast I've gotten there has chunks of avocado and the bacon is in bits but today It was smeared on and this lettuce was pitiful. This order was also called in and estimated 20 mins to make and be ready, but again it took way longer. Seems like the younger workers working there do not care and take their sweet time. They have good food and drink items when the right people are there but recently the service and quality has been consistently disappointing. read more

I was doing some shopping in the area and saw it as I was passing by. The decor is super cute, clean, and inviting. I ordered a latte with Hazelnut and a Grilled Panini Artichoke & Spinach Sandwich to eat at the table. They have a couple tables and a couple high top options. Unfortunately at the high top table, the table was way higher than the chair so it was pretty awkward to eat and drink. So not the most comfortable. My sandwich was really flavorful, but the inside was not melted together like it should have been. It almost seemed like the bread cooked faster than the inside. My coffee wasn't bad, its on the less sweet side if that's your jam. They did have a a good amount of bakery items in the window that I definitely want to come back and try. read more

Very cute location and a very expansive menu. The day I went, there were only a few people in front of me, but it seemed like a long wait. The barista did not immediately recognize me when I approached the counter because she was tabulating some orders (or something). Once she acknowledged me, she was very cordial and knowledgeable about the menu. My seasonal bagel and coffee were good. I had 10 friends with me today and we had lunch at the Collierville shop. We got there at 12:00 and it was an awful experience. Changing shift at noon. That was first misfortune. I spent $93 includes the tip for two of my friends, my son and myself and I am so embarrassed. I read the reviews and thought maybe people were being too hard on the young people. I am so disappointed. They took orders for items they were out of No turkey No corn beef(Ruben) Ran out of pesto Ran out of chicken pot pie We asked these to be changed to chicken and two of them only had pesto No spinach or tomato or peppers One friend ordered a chicken pesto but so much pesto used on previous sandwiches they ran out and only gave her meat and bread On that same order he order a chicken pot pie and it was given to another customer and of course they ran out of that. They have fantastic bakery items but in my opinion i would say that is the priority of this restaurant. Their espresso machine was down so they only had regular drip. No cold brew . So yeah, limited coffee options. Also what was there was written on pieces of paper that are not easy to read off the left on a cork board. Mainly just syrup flavors . The staff was super nice .
