Been here a bunch of times and I'm always able to find something on the menu to try for a first time. This week I ordered the Chicken Enchilada Bowl and quite frankly, it was pretty awesome - great flavors and a large portion that I couldn't finish (I really tried). There were 5 of us in my party and everyone also enjoyed their meals as well - steak flatbread, the hamburger, the salmon and another bowl. The service is outstanding - super friendly and accommodating, never wanting for a thing. If you haven't tried them, please do so - I don't think you will be disappointed. leaving this review after our third visit. the first time we visited this location was in 2025 on our first date and we had two drinks and the cauliflower-both were amazing and thought we can't wait to come back. after that night idk if management changed or something but last two visits were just bad. 2nd visit-sat at the bar and drinks were flat out horrible. ordered a marg and their fresh basil spritz drink -both tasted just bad and left without finishing either 3rd visit - got sat at our first date booth so that was a nice reminiscence and ordered two bowls and 2 drinks again. my bowl was scrumptious but my fiancées bowl had uncooked pink chicken on top and AGAIN the drinks were terrible. i brought the chicken up to our waitress (she was very nice) and another gentlemen came out to observe the chicken and literally said "yea that's some medium cooked chicken, salmonella." so we weren't being unreasonable and they took that bowl off of our bill. unfortunately we won't be returning to this location. read more

My wife and myself just had brunch today in the bar area , in a booth. The lone waitress was friendly and attentive, so kudos to her. Our dislikes were (2) items : Some guy in a gray worn polo , approaches us while seated and inquires how are we doing. He didn't announce who he was and didn't come across well. We said we were ok , and he walked off. Next item are the seats of the booths. They are showing signs of extreme wear ( fabric material cracking off ) for a restaurant that hasn't been in operation for too long. Wow what a difference! I haven't been to SOB since the last bad experience over 5 years ago. Stopped in for Sunday brunch. We were immediately seated. We ordered crab claws for a starter. They were very hot and fresh and delicious. Seasoned perfectly. I ordered the chicken enchilada bowl and my husband ordered the classic breakfast. The bowl was TOP TIER. Every component was seasoned perfectly. The rice was nice and fluffy. The pico was very fresh and flavorful. The chicken was absolutely delicious. SOB has become a staple for our bookclub meet up. The menu is pretty consistent and I generally get the same item. Brunch is generally a very lively time for the restaurant. However, no impact to service generally. During our visit, there did seem to be something happening with the cocktails as several members ordered the same cocktail, but it was clear they were not made the same as the color and taste were very different. First time experiencing this issue and we did bring it to their attention. Starter: general tso's tso's cauliflower. Brunch: The honey hot chicken and waffles is my go to when I want a sweet and savory meal. The maple syrup is my favorite and really bring the dish together. Cocktail: raspberry Rita. Seated in the bar area the server was great. Ordered the General Tso's cauliflower appetizer and was not disappointed. Everything it was cracked up to be. Absolutely delicious. Had Creole Pasta entree was tasty but very spicy, maybe a bit too spicy. Also had the blackened catfish which was ok but wasn't really blackened and sat atop a pile of okra, corn, and other peppers and veggies. It was edible but not great. First time at SOB Collierville! I love a lot of SOB dishes, so I was glad to see similar menus as East and Downtown. My favorite mule in Memphis is their Blue Suede Shoes, highly recommend trying this cocktail! We started off our meal with the General Taos Cauliflower - a must! I ended up getting the Quinoa burger. Not my first choice, but I had dietary restrictions this night. I prefer their other burgers and bowls. Our waiter, Brian, was great. He tried to point me in the right direction entree wise. We visited SOB Collierville today around 1:15 PM. Our waitress was very friendly, and I want to make it clear that our issue was not with her or the service she provided. Our food was taking a little longer than expected, so I asked to switch our order to-go because I needed to be home by 3:00 PM to administer IV medication to a family member. Unfortunately, once I got home and opened everything, we were really disappointed with the food. I ordered my steak medium, but it was very overcooked and dry. The quinoa dish was also extremely oily, and there was very little corn in it. What corn I did receive was unusually sticky and chewy, and overall the dish just was not cooked well. I also ordered my husband the steak and eggs with potatoes. His steak was also significantly overcooked, and his potatoes were completely missing from the order. I understand that mistakes happen, and I normally would have simply called and given the restaurant an opportunity to fix the issue before leaving a review. However, I tried calling SOB twice after we got home to let them know about the missing potatoes and the quality of the food, and no one answered. I spent money on two meals that unfortunately were not prepared as ordered, with part of one meal missing entirely. I'm especially disappointed because our waitress was genuinely kind, but the food we received today was nowhere near the quality we expected. Let's start with the menu! Some items shown on Yelp are only a part of their Saturday brunch menu. From the start, I was almost immediately disappointed because the items I really wanted were not available on Tuesday afternoon when I came for brunch/lunch. Atmosphere: solid. It was bustling and inviting upon walking up. The hostess was all into her phone but when we stepped in front of her, she was friendly and acknowledged us. *I have a coworker that says she is perpetually mean that this host reminded me of. Nice lady, just not kind or attentive* Once seated, our server was a sweet gal that likely wasn't a veteran but had heart! She knew the menu but had a way about her that seemed genuine and green. I shared my desire for the breakfast items I saw and she mentioned that it was on their brunch menu for Saturdays. There's nothing she can do about it but her response let me know that I wasn't the only one to experience this. The food was yummy! I had the bowl and my partner had the salmon. My crispy chicken bowl (slightly wrong name) was SPICY and I typically love hot/spicy food. While the salmon looked SO GOOD, it lacked a flavor that was only found when coupled with the maple glaze. It left a lot to be desired if you are a person that likes to eat your items separately. The bill was nominal and I appreciate our server making our mixed virgin drinks! I really like the food here and I'm glad they have affordable and tasty options. I like the bowls so far and have tried a few of them. I got the Zaka Bowl with chicken added and it was filling enough I took some home. The Buffalo Chicken Dip was fine I just personally do not life buffalo chicken in most things. I also disliked the Hungry Vegan because it was has a ton of arugula and my tongue and arugula are unfortunately mortal enemies. The shawarma bowl was amazeballs. But I am SO GLAD I asked for more sauce because that rice was way too dry for me and needed something. My friends Enchilada Bowl looked like it had the same issue so if you're a saucy person, I'd def ask for extra sauce if your bowl has rice in it. I don't know how this place has less than 5 stars. It's 5 stars all day! The restaurant is clean and fresh looking. The service spot on and the food- fantastic. Started with the general tso cauliflower - wow is this good. I had to do a double take because I couldn't believe this was cauliflower. A must try! I had the mushroom pasta with blackened chicken added- outstanding. My Cesar salad also great. My son had one of the bowls and Mac and cheese- loved it. Really well done extension of the East and South Main locations. The inside is brighter, spacious, with a contemporary interior. The patio, shared with the pizza joint next door, is brightly lit (again), concrete courtyard aesthetic- not necessarily cozy, but utilitarian. Service was very good. Knowledgable about the menu, accommodating for requests, efficient and expeditious when needed. The food was good for what it is: not too heavy, not too complex- straightforward. Don't expect more than what is offered- good for folks who aren't quite as adventurous as I am (massive points awarded in my book for novelty, but none really given here). From a prep standpoint, what does require mention is how incredibly my well they fry everything: chicken, grouper, egg roll, and most markedly, the fries (I suspect because of the tallow). Crispy, light, not greasy. Great nice weather option. I suspect this strip across the tracks (just) is going to be a new destination for East county eats once the other bays open. read more

The food was great. Both the shawarma bowl and enchilada bowl were very good and flavorful. We also enjoyed the turkey burger. My boyfriend's father didn't much enjoy the sweet tea brined fried chicken sandwich but everything else was amazing! Service was great and inside area is so cute!! They also have a great patio area to enjoy on a nice day and the waitress told us they have live music on Monday and Wednesday evenings. We can't wait to go back. We love this lunch spot! read more

The menu is extensive and has some really amazing items. Favorites include Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls as an appetizer and Duck Fried Rice. My favorite item from a previous visit is still the Burgers. They have some really good Burgers here. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Went to SOB last night for a birthday celebration. Great location! Ram was our server and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and fantastic! After we ordered the Philly egg rolls, we asked him what he suggested, and he recommended we add the general Tso's cauliflower to split. Great decision! We were fighting over the last pieces! Both appetizers were unique and flavorful! For dinner, several members of my group got the SOB burger and LOVED it. I tried a bite and have to admit that I was surprised at how tasty it was. I got the duck patty melt, and while it was great, I felt like it was missing a sauce or something. To be fair- it usually comes with mushrooms on it that I can't eat, so that might be the missing flavor it needed. Fries were hot and delicious! For dessert, we got a jack and coke bread pudding that hit the spot! Great place to go and grab some good food or a cocktail. The cauliflower was cooked well, not greasy. The flavor was a little bland without the sauce, and the spicy sauce was on the sweet side and tasted like it came from a jar. The shawarma was cooked well, the chicken is skinless boneless thighs. The sauce didn't have much if any flavor. Reminded me of crema. Adds a richness but no tangy. Bathrooms were clean and floor to ceiling tile. Bar area looked inviting. We would visit again, but probably order something else. The app, entree, and 2 teas were $40 before tip. SOB was the only restaurant my group could find that had no wait around lunchtime on a Sunday. The inside of the restaurant was very nice and modern. I wasn't a fan of the flavor of the free popcorn they give every table, it had a sweet cinnamon-like flavor. I tried the huevos rancheros breakfast hash from their brunch menu and it was very good. Ya'll this place is GORGEOUS! The decor is super cool, trendy, and inviting. My coworkers and I were in the area for a work event and booked reservations ahead of time. We went around 11:15am and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It picked up as we were leaving though. Parking was easy. They share a huge parking lot with a couple of stores so you shouldn't have much of a problem finding a spot. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, and general Tso's cauliflower for the table and both did not disappoint. In the future, if I had to pick one, I would definitely go with the cauliflower. The flavor was pretty tasty and made me want to make some at home! For lunch, I ordered the Grouper with fries. It was a good portion, the fish tasted flaky and fresh, and the fries had the right amount of crunch. Our waiter,Carlos, was amazing! No bartender behind bar but could see someone through the kitchen on cell phone, one wait staff looked our direction, but 5 mins later zero service. Had lunch with my family for my birthday, First time for all four of us, and everyone was very pleased with everything! Service was quick and attentive and very friendly. Great atmosphere. At the table, we had the fried shrimp appetizer (very crisp and tasty), grouper sandwich (fries are amazing!!), duck patty melt (hubs was very pleased), catfish (the andouille succotash was a great surprise hit), and the grilled chicken salad (great portion).
