Probably because the finance manager was driving it as a take home vehicle and had his kids car seat in it. However we did qualify for a year newer with same mileage.....hmmm. We signed on another truck and the OnStar didn't work. Salesman Kent Travis said for us to contact OnStar, OnStar stated it was the dealerships issue and they will have to replace the module. Travis then said to wait 30 days before the replacement of the module so our extended warranty company would cover it. I don't think so! I will NOT involve myself in the criminal act of defrauding the warranty company to save your dealership money. He also stated that repair cost will come out of his pocket, not my xxxx problem! The truck had a 30 day 3000 mile warranty from dealership. When I told Travis to get it fixed his reply was "we shook on it, does that not mean anything". This dealership is crooked on finance and sales side with the ones involved here. If you go here use someone else. Or just go elsewhere. Service dept....you guys rock! Don't fall in their hole. You guys in service replaced the module in a timely manner. Thank you service dept! We will never be back to this dealership and I will tell everyone about this lack of professionalism and true lack of integrity. Jun 08, 2026 -Jim Butler Linn Chevrolet responded We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and are glad to hear our service department was able to resolve the OnStar concern quickly and to your satisfaction. That said, we want to address several points raised in your review to ensure there is clarity. At no point does our dealership engage in or condone any form of improper or unethical practices. Any suggestion otherwise is simply not accurate and does not reflect how we do business. We take compliance and customer trust very seriously. Regarding the vehicle availability, certain units may be unavailable for sale at times due to internal use or other legitimate factors. Our team works to present comparable options that meet both availability and purchasing requirements, which appears to be the case here. As for the OnStar concern, the vehicle you purchased was covered under our 30-day/3,000-mile warranty, and ultimately the repair was completed by our service department appropriately under that coverage. We regret any confusion or miscommunication that may have occurred during that process, as that is not the experience we strive to provide. We hold our team to high standards of professionalism and communication, and your feedback is being taken seriously and reviewed internally. We always welcome the opportunity to address concerns directly and work toward resolution. If you would be open to discussing this further, please contact me directly at the dealership. Mike Carroll General Manager Jim Butler Linn Chevrolet Jun 08, 2026 - DEGOULD2319 responded Look at your coffee/vending machine area cameras on May 21st to see our interaction with Travis, or look at his emails from 9:37am on May 27th to prove the "wait 30 days" and "we shook on it" for your proof that this is accurate. YES your dealership did fix it in the appropriate time, but only after I told Travis that I checked with other dealerships and he would not have to pay for it out of his pocket and that I had to have it fixed ASAP. He wanted to wait 30 days for the extended warranty (which I purchased) to cover the replacement/labor costs of module so that the dealership would not have to pay for it. Jun 11, 2026 - DEGOULD2319 responded I have submitted all emails and interactions to the Mo Attorney General, and they recommend that any customers that have had crooked/fraudulent interactions with this dealership to file complaints. Confusion or miscommunication? Really? Your salesman was trying to commit fraud! He was wanting us to hold off 30 days for MY extended warranty to cover the cost of the replacement of OnStar module. No confusion or miscommunication was there at all.

I purchased a vehicle from this dealership expecting a reliable car for daily use. I am a single…read moremother and relied heavily on this purchase, including putting my savings down on the vehicle. Since purchase and continued service through their shop, I have experienced repeated mechanical issues and ongoing service concerns. Major repairs have included a valve body replacement and torque converter repair, which were covered under warranty. However, the continued breakdowns and new issues have made the vehicle unreliable. After recent service, I immediately began experiencing additional problems that were not present before, including a coolant/antifreeze leak into the passenger floorboard, a power steering hose left disconnected after service, malfunctioning windows, and a trunk leak that allows water into the vehicle whenever it rains or is washed. When I raised these concerns, I was told I would need to pay a $200 diagnostic fee before they would evaluate issues that began after their service visits. I also requested to speak with the general manager, who has not returned my call. I have not received any apology or meaningful response regarding the ongoing issues. These problems have caused missed work, transportation issues for my children, and major disruption to my daily life. While warranty has covered some major repairs, the continuous issues and lack of accountability are unacceptable. At this point, I am seeking either a reliable replacement vehicle or a refund. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience.

They…read morehad a truck very similar to what I wanted and at first I thought it was exactly what I wanted. I contacted the dealership and was connected with a salesman (jed) who was great. He was kind, attentive, helpful and not annoying and pushy. They seemed to have the lowest price I could find. When I made my offers Jed never once scoffed, laughed or acted like I had offended him. He respectfully said he would take it to his manager and see what he could do with it. We ended up getting through one or two offers and I realized this truck didn't have heated seats which I thought every truck at this trim level did. I let him know. No big deal. Told him it wasn't a deal breaker. He then told me to tell him exactly what I wanted in the truck and he would find me what I was looking for. A day or two passed and he sent two options and I decided on one. We agreed to a price and a few days later I took a 4 hour drive down to get the truck. Before I left I asked him if I had to use their financing to receive this price and incentives as many dealerships do and he said no, but that I would most likely get the best rate through them because banks "compete" for my loan. I get down there and they have the truck pulled up in front ready to go. Clean for the most part and full of fuel. Jed and I took it for a drive and it all drove great. Then some paperwork was completed and I went to the finance office with my "finance manager." I don't recall his name but this is 100 percent where the experience went from a 5 star to a 3 star review. Before I was in the finance office I did quite a bit of research on the lowest rates in the market currently so I knew what I should be in for. I knew my credit score going in and knew that it was exceptional and should not have an issue getting the lowest rate possible. The guy made some small talk and flipped an iPad around with I believe 5 different payment options listed at the bottom of the screen. He started talking about their extended warranties they offer and going into detail about them. It starts with the premium coverage all the way down to "basic" which appears on the screen to be the factory warranty provided with the vehicle. The numbers just weren't adding up in my head correctly so I asked if this basic coverage was with no warranty other than what if provided through the manufacturer. He then told me no that this was still with an extended warranty. There was no option listed on the screen for no extended warranty option and I was not provided with that number unless I asked. That is deceitful. Once I asked he did mark off all warranty coverage and gave me a new estimated monthly payment that still wasn't adding up in my head. It was then I realized I never was told what my interest rate even was. I was never even presented a final cost with tax and title work fees. Once I asked though he did provide me with the interest rate and term offered and a final out the door cost. The interest rate is almost 2 percent higher than my local banks. I ask him if that's the absolute lowest rate available and he said he would check. He gets on the phone for about 2 minutes and comes back with an interest rate half a percent lower for a longer term? So at this point I do not believe anything this guy is telling me and 100 percent believe he is trying to get my business to whoever gets him the biggest kickback and is not here for me and getting me the best rate possible. Unfortunately I was 4 hours from home and had half a day invested at this point. So we come to terms and move on. While I did not care for the finance managers sales gimmicks on the extended warranty and the interest rate, I wouldn't say he was unprofessional. He wasn't kind but wasn't unfriendly. This interaction however was enough to make me leave feeling not 100 percent satisfied. I'm not much on writing reviews but I just want people to be aware of them trying to slide warranties in when you don't want them and finding better interest rates elsewhere.

So i make the trip from Columbia to Jeff to look at the car. I get to the dealership and the car salesman wouldn't even get up to shake my hand. Big red flag to begin with. As were looking at the car another sales who works come up and mentions how someone who works there is wants to buy the car and i should get it before him. Another red flag. That why they were returning calls because someone who works their wants to buy to they are holding it for them. As this is going they are repeatedly changing the price of the car thousands of dollars. And tells me it's because of the market? Mind you it was a 2017... even after all this i was still gonna go get the car cause it was what i wanted. I brought my trade in the next day for them to basically try and screw me over. $6000 less than what i told them i wanted. Then when i mentioned selling the car myself and coming back i was told "whats the point? To only get a few extra thousand?" Who says shit like that unless you're just tryna make a sale. I then told them i wanted to take the night to think and pray about it and i was given an eye roll from the salesman and he walked away and left me at his desk for 10 mins just to come back and offer me $500 more for my trade after i already said i wanted to think about it. He goes to walk away again so i followed him and asked for my keys to my car. He then proceeded to tell me "you dont need them" The whole time this was supposedly the top salesman there. How does anyone buy a car from that guy. Didn't even want to have any type of conversation with me unless i was making a deal. NEVER GO HERE TO BUY A CAR. Worst experience ever. Go to CDJR in Columbia they will get you exactly what you want with a great deal!

The guy in their service department was great in answering my questions.

I edited parts of this review after receiving a comment from Quality Automotive. Please remember…read morethat this review is based on my personal experience. Quality Automotive is located on on Franklin Street in Cuba, MO. Covid protocol: Unsure about this, we have never been inside the sales office and staff was busy elsewhere on the lot when we visited, so we didn't see anyone clean. Edit: According to the comment left below, their policy is to clean offices and vehicles on a regular basis. They do not require masks. Quality Automotive offers a large selection of used vehicles for a variety of prices. Inventory turns over fairly quickly. Their website is updated frequently and, besides photos of the vehicles available, shows information about engines size, mileage, etc. Edit: According to their comment below the website is updated daily. I visited three times and always found a vehicle that looked great, only to find that there were issues once I dug a little deeper and looked up the vehicle history online. After talking to a sales person I was told that you are buying the vehicles "as is" unless there is a remaining manufacturer warranty. Some vehicles also offer a 3-months warranty that can be purchased at additional cost. Edit: According to the comment left below all vehicles under 200.000 miles come with a build-in 3 months powertrain warranty. Vehicles over 200.000 miles come with a 1 month limited powertrain warranty. The warranty can be extended. All vehicles on the lot are unlocked. In order to take one for a test drive you need to get a dealer plate from the office. None of the vehicles I found met all of my criteria, so I didn't do that part. The vehicles are not bad, they just weren't what I was looking for. The selection is quite large for such a small town. There are currently 59 vehicles on the lot ranging from a 2013 Ford F-150 for $18,950 to a 1997 Toyota Avalon for $3,500. Sales staff is quick to answer questions and knowledgeable about the vehicles. Prices are not negotiable. Edit: According to the comment left below prices are negotiable. We ended up buying from a different dealer but I would not hesitate to recommend Quality Automotive as a starting point if you are looking for a used vehicle.
