Why wasn't my dental visit as a kid cool as this place?!?!…read more I spent most of my childhood at the dentist office rather than doing something fun. My visit to Jefferson Dentist would be every other month to monthly visits. I had my fillings, root canals, braces all done there.. Thanks to Jefferson dentist , I've been traumatized to ever going back to dental care as an adult. All I can remember was nothing good coming from that place. Lets just say the braces I got on, I had to get them redone somewhere else. I've been paying for dental insurance for the past 7 years and never once used it. Now that I'm older & can no longer endure the pain in my mouth, it is time to visit the dentist. A friend of mine referred me to celebrity dental I still remember the procedures at the dentist. Getting my X-rays done was one of my least favorite. It's not painful, just uncomfortable when the film is in your mouth. Having someone insert & remove a plastic film in your mouth. Not sure because I'm an adult and my jaw is bigger compared to when I was a kid. The dental assistant was very gentle on my X-rays and it did not feel uncomfortable at all. I finally did my teeth cleaning after 12 years of hiding from the dentist. It was not as bad as I thought! I had an old filling that bothered me every now and then. I thought I had to get a root canal, thank goodness I didn't need one! Dentist applied some seal and that pain is now gone. I just need to floss daily and use sensodyne toothpaste. Even with my dental insurance I hope on my next visit, they let me sit in the cool kids room! *don't forget to floss your teeth* Was this review ...? Useful 5 Funny 7 Cool 3

Dr. Bates was very condescending and demeaning in my consultation…read more He was extremely sarcastic and had poor bedside manner. He continued to gripe about how my earring was in the way of all the images and would ask my why I could not open my mouth further. When I responded "it hurts" he did not seem to care at all that I was in pain. As far as the earring goes it was fused closed and I have not been able to remove it since the wreck when I tried to explain that he continued to cut me off each and every time. I think I was cut off in mid sentence about 15 times through my consultation. My favorite was when her personally insulted me when I did not understand a question. I was trying to clarify and instead just got insults dished at me the entire time. Even if he was the only specialist I would rather deal with the pain than see him. He lacks empathy and should take a course on bedside manners. He even quizzed me about how I obtained my dental molds and such and when I told him he dismissed That Explanation. He also told me that everything was in alignment and my retainers should fit... but they do not. Never did he even have me put them on To even check. This accident I was in was extremely traumatic and has impacted multiple portions of my life. I did not need to be treated by him poorly on top of everything else I have to deal with. The only reason this review gets 1 star is because he staff was very pleasant. I should have listened to the recent terrible google reviews on his office. I would also like to mention that I was there 12 minutes before my appointment time and still had to wait 20 minutes past my scheduled time.

I had a very disappointing experience with this office after being a patient here for years…read more I was charged a cancellation fee that I was never clearly informed about beforehand. When I called to discuss the charge, the manager informed me that the fee had accumulated to $250 based on the number of times I had rescheduled appointments. This was surprising, as I was never made aware that simply rescheduling would result in accumulating cancellation fees. To her credit, she later offered to waive four of the five fees and only charge me a single $50 fee. However, my concern was never just the amount. My concern was that the policy communicated to me stated that a $50 fee would be charged for no-shows and same-day cancellations. The messages I received did not state that patients would be charged $50 simply for rescheduling appointments, nor was I aware of any policy allowing fees to accumulate in this manner. Because of that, I did not feel it was appropriate to pay a fee that I had never knowingly agreed to. I have copies of the text messages sent by the office, which state that a $50 fee will be charged for no-shows and same-day cancellations. The messages do not state that patients will be charged $50 for rescheduling appointments, nor do they mention fees accumulating with each reschedule. During our conversation, the manager claimed the text referenced a 24-hour cancellation policy, but the message I received does not state that. When I questioned the charge, the manager was rude, sarcastic, and dismissive of my concerns. At one point, she essentially ended the conversation with, "Call us back if you have the money." She also hung up on me, which I found incredibly unprofessional. She instructed me to contact the corporate customer service number regarding the issue. However, when I called, I was informed that each office handles its own fees and has discretion over whether to waive them, meaning there was nothing corporate could do. When I called the office back and explained what customer service had told me, the manager responded, "Yeah, I know." This left me feeling as though I had been sent on a pointless runaround, since she already knew corporate could not assist and that the decision rested solely with the office. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a loyal patient for years. I have maintained their membership plan for the last several years, regularly returned for my routine dental cleanings and maintenance, and was planning to schedule additional, more costly dental services with this office in the future. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has completely changed my perception of the practice. Because of this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. That's unfortunate, because this issue was never about refusing to take responsibility it was about wanting transparency, fair communication, and respectful customer service. Instead, I was met with misinformation, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of concern for a long-time patient relationship. I understand that offices have policies in place, and I respect the need to protect appointment times. However, patients also deserve clear communication, transparency regarding fees, and respectful treatment when questions arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. It felt like the focus was more on collecting a disputed fee than on providing quality customer service and maintaining trust with a long-time patient.

SCAM ALERT! I had…read moresome bonding break off my front tooth, leaving a gap. I went to my regular dentist who put the bonding back. My Dental Insurance covered half the cost. A week later the bonding broke off, so I went to Mint to see if they could do a better job. Their quote was unusually high, so I asked if they had contacted my insurance. I knew my insurance would cover it, because they had just covered the same procedure last week. Long story short Mint REFUSED to even contact my insurance. I was flabbergasted. In all my life I've never had a dentist who refused to even submit. If the insurance carrier denies the claim then fine, but they wouldn't even SUBMIT it. They just wanted my money. Needless to say I left. They gave me a corporate card where I could call to complain and guess what? Both numbers on it are disconnected. Complete and total scam office. Stay away.
