It was a situation that warranted antibiotics and I took them. But after the antibiotics were completed, I wasn't back to 100%. Dr. Caro explained that there was no reason to take any more meds. He encouraged me to rest as much as possible to give my body the best chance to heal. He also gave me a list of things to incorporate into my diet to help me feel better, like ginger/lemon tea, broccoli, green tea, and other immune-boosting natural remedies. I felt fine after another week, and I appreciated his holistic advice. Dr. Caro's office keeps patient records digitally, which is excellent. He has a computer in front of him during visits where he has immediate access to all medical records and notes. The Irving Place office is very conveniently located, and everyone in the office is fluent in Spanish. The staff is very polite (there's a girl named Daisy who's really sweet). I should warn potential patients to take a book (or two) to appointments because there's usually a very long wait in the waiting room. But it's worth it because I think Dr. Caro is a good doctor. The two doctors who run the practice these days are lovely, experienced and thorough. They go above and beyond both during clinic hours and while on call to care for my family. The clinic is nice, it's in an older building but very conveniently located right above the subway and I really like the kid friendly decor, art, and color palette. Staff is attentive and friendly. I've recommended this place to all my friends and they rave about the level of care they receive compared to the busy patient mills around the city where you are the 40th person to see the doctor on a given day. The doctors here are generous with their time and answer all my questions. I'll be bringing all my kids to see Doctor Firoze and Doctor Viñas.

So, I sought out Dr. Strauss and was impressed by his positive attitude, clear explanations and thoughtful care. Dr. Strauss recommended surgery and told me, without hesitation, that I would feel better as a result. He personally phoned me the night before surgery and the night after surgery. I've never had any other surgeon do this! It's now only one day after surgery and I am shocked by how well I am feeling. Dr. Strauss is a gem and I feel very fortunate to have found him. He again reminded me of this right before i was anesthetized and operated on. His bedside manners are awesome: kind, high energy and completely disarming. This goes for his residents and clinical staff as well. Finally, he's completely accessible by cell and was quick to follow-up immediately and a few times post-op. I am now 3 months out and my knee is already 90% recovered. I 100% recommend Dr. Strauss.

I had an appointment with Dr. Beldner earlier today to look at a nagging wrist problem I've had to deal with for approximately 2-3 months now. After finishing preliminary paper work, I was placed into an examination room, shortly, one of Dr. Beldner's residents took me into the X-Ray room to perform an X-Ray of my wrist. I was then returned to the examination room. 15 minutes goes by and I am finally introduced to Dr. Beldner. Dr. Beldner took his time in evaluating the preliminary prognosis of his residents and then paid careful attention as to the problem that's stemming from my wrist. After showing him my previous X-Rays and MRI, Dr. Beldner was able to diagnosis the issue with my wrist while pinpointing the exact location on the X-Ray. I was given multiple options for treatment. I opted to proceed with one form of treatment over the others. Dr. Beldner then explain to me how this form of treatment would help cure the problem, the length in which the recovery process would take, what side effects might occur, and how some discomfort might occur from the process. Needless to say, Dr. Beldner required only an X-Ray to diagnose the issue with my wrist while the 3 other doctors I went to required an X-Ray, MRI, and an Electrocardiogram (EKG) and still couldn't diagnose the issue. Special thanks to my friend Tricia and Pedro K for telling me to go to Dr. Beldner. I felt as though his attention to detail, explanation of the treatment procedures and healing process were impeccable. Needless to say, if I have future hand issues, I will return to the Hand Surgery Center for evaluations.
