Only downside is the size of the park itself - wish there was a bit more room to maneuver. Way better than the state park though.

We drove around the immediate neighborhood and found good service all around but in the RV park. We were told there was an explosion followed by the internet company dug up some cables by mistake but they didn't know when they would repair the lines. We replied, cell service doesn't come from a line and got weird looks and more excuses. Oh, did I mention $905 a month and a 4% credit card fee. Since then we discovered other much nicer, newer parks in the area with many more amenities that actually work. Camp N Town gladly takes your money and lets you find out for yourself how much it sucks with no remorse and no refunds.

We went to the restaurant inside the Gold Dust Casino in Carson City. There was a little wait to get the host to seat us. They were doing double duty as the cashier as well. The smoke in the restaurant is less than it is in the casino, as far as smaller casinos go, the smoke wasn't super bad. We got seated and drink orders taken. I see they have a prime rib special available 7 days a week for $16.99, not just on Friday's and Sat. like some other casino restaurants, plus, you don't have to wait till 4pm either, available at 11am seven days a week! I went with that, medium rare please. Someone else ordered the breakfast, "Little Star", basically a standard 2 egg with hashbrowns and toast and sausage for $7.99. One of the crew ordered the "Wrangler" burger, a double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings in the burger, served with fries. For appetizers, we got the onion rings and the loaded potato skins. The food all arrives and everything looks scrumptious. My Prime Rib was a decent size cooked as ordered, served with a baked potato. The appetizers were good, I actually like the loaded skins with the melty cheese and bacon. The onion rings were a smallish portion, but I guess it was just $4.99 so there's that. The Wrangler burger was quite a sight! He said the meat was real good and seemed like bigger than the two 1/4 pound patties on the menu. I'd come back here again, this is a new revamped menu from years ago.

The managers are rude and snobby to the guests for example, if you ask for anything at all like a late checkout, towels or fresh sheets, you can just forget it. The staff and lady manager will either ignore you or scold you as if you're her bad employee, even though you're a paying guest! If you ask to change rooms due to noisy kids above stomping and running around, or dirty unchanged air filters in the a/c units, or pet hairs on the carpet, ants crawling around in the bathroom etc...Good luck with that because they will just ask you to leave rather than housekeeping doing their job. It is more of a "go get it yourself" type of place. Beware of bed bugs, poor customer service in general, you can forget about amenities because they don't have any at all except for a box of tissue and a tiny hair dryer. Top dollar room rates for a basic room that resembles Motel 6 at best. But mostly we will never forget how awful we were treated by a few rude female clerks & the female hotel manager who acts like she owns the Gold Dust West. Be prepared for a clogged rear entrance point hallway with several giant containers of dirty linens, towels. Do not expect any type of extra service because they're grossly understaffed. Most of the time when calling by phone, they don't answer the phone or they leave you on eternal hold If you complain in anyway, just expect the manager to knock on your hotel door and bother you with some nonsense excuse about why it's not their fault. This is not the "house full of friends" more like a bad nightmare stay at the Bates Motel, except Norman Bates is actually the glaringly rude female clerk at the front desk.

What a joke. Made a reservation online, completed all documentation and their "move-in" process. I…read moreselected an outside storage unit. I head over to the facility, security code in hand. Upon arrival, code won't work. Tried it at least a dozen times So, I call the number on the sign. Voice mail says "they aren't on site but can be reached by phone." After MULTIPLE attempts, that proves to not be true. I tried calling the Fernly location. That too went to voicemail, saying "Today is September 1st and we are closed for the holiday." Today is in fact November 26. Upon calling the silver springs location, again I only get a voicemail, but they at least give office hours. Thinking I might be able to told to SOME sort of employee, I drive to the Spanish Springs location. Guess what, their office is inside the secure gate, you can't get in unless you have a security code for that location. Negative contact with any living soul. I drive BACK to the Carson location. My security code still doesn't work. I tried a simple, generic code and the gate opened right up. I drive around for a minute to locate my storage unit. Guess what? It's NOT a storage unit. Appreciate, according to Safe Storage, and only Safe Storage, an outside storage unit, is a parking spot. They have a few secure units, but I won't be dealing with this company again. They are misleading and INCOMPETENT!

The only downside was safety-related: there weren't many safety rails in certain areas, and there were several large gaps where a small child could easily slip or fall. There were also some unexpected gaps at floor level near entrances that felt a bit concerning for little ones. Make sure to keep an eye your kids here and be an arm length away since they can fall and hurt themselves pretty easily. Overall, it's a great park with a lot to offer, but adding more safety rails and closing some of those gaps would make it feel much more kid-friendly and secure. We came about 9:15 on Fathers Day Sunday and parking was about half full. I liked that there were multiple paths down to the beach so you could park close to where you're set up on the sand. They have bathrooms available on site which was super helpful for our little kids! There are picnic tables before you get down to the beach too. Parking is $12 and that's your only fee here, some other beaches in Tahoe can have a little bit more pricey of a reservation. It's about 15 mins away from main stores and shopping centers, and I had no problem with cellphone service here. This was a nice first beach experience in Tahoe!
