NOT TRUTHFUL WITH ME - BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE Unfortunately, I had rated them five stars...until I left after several months. I had been out of the country and, after a long drive home, got home from the airport at 2:00 in the morning. I called Anchor's Office Manager and said, "I know today is the last day of the month, but can you pro-rate me one day so I can come in this weekend?" He said they don't pro-rate charges, but for just one day, they wouldn't charge me if I vacated first thing in the morning. I DID...AND A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER I LEFT, THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR A FULL MONTH ANYWAY. Had I known they were going to be untruthful, I would have left the car there for the month! Instead, I paid a full month's rent for a vacant spot that they rented out. I asked the Office Manager to email his supervisor's contact information to me, which he agreed to, but never did. THIS LEFT A VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. This was a very bad customer experience. read more

This storage facility is well maintained, has reasonable open hours and office hours, the units are in good condition and are easily accessed. The units are not inside Reno proper but not far away from Hwy 431 and Alt 395 (~2 mi, no intervening lights or stop signs). Payment is relatively easy online, if that's your thing, and the office staff have always been helpful when we needed anything. Two cautions: First , while the facility still feels competitively priced to me, we saw steady price increases -- something like 25% in the past 24 months, and without much warning. I think the place is still worth checking out but you may wish to shop around for facilities with more stable pricing especially if you are planning long term. Second, the facility is desert adjacent. You can see the traps placed around the facility so expect rodents. We never saw any evidence (no droppings) but it may depend on what you keep and how you store it. Rodents love nesting conditions so if you store clothing or other chewable materials on the ground you may be taking risks. Everything for us was on shelves and we had no issues. read more

Was helping my daughter move and we needed extra storage- Melanie was at the counter she was the nicest; she had the best customer service. We never rented a storage before so She took time to explain how the storage rental works along with prices- no tricks at all- she even took us around and showed us the different storage area and sizes. The corporate greed is evident with Storage Pro (Anchor Storage rates were fair prior to Storage Pro purchasing the location). They have raised rates on trailer parking by 139% in 2 years. Service from the office staff is great. Facilities are in good condition. If you like to pay a lot for simple storage this is your place. read more

This place only keeps getting worse. Today because I am behind on my rent i was threatened that since I'm paying late if I fall behind again I will be told to vacate. After being a customer since 2021 this how they treat their tenets. Do Not rent from this place especially since it's new ownership who don't care about anyone or anything except money. We needed a covered storage for our newly purchased TT. Anchor Storage came thru for us. We were there for 18 months or so and had nothing but good experiences. A brush fire happened a month after we moved in but no damage. Now there is little vegetation to cause concern. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Can't miss on this place. We are moving and needed short term storage. I grossly underestimated the amount of space needed and Karen at the front desk let me upgrade my unit after I had used it for about a week. We have two units at Anchor Storage. The building is always clean, never has a light bulb out. Even our "stuff" is clean and dust free. No bugs, no spider webs. I just recently had to move out of town but I needed a place to put all my stuff before I found a new place. I called and looked at a few places. Anchor Storage wasn't the cheapest but I felt way more comfortable going there than some of the cheaper places. Both ladies that work there were way cool. I even dropped my keys and they called me and stayed late so that I could come pick them up. Storage packing isn't fun but I appreciated their support and hospitality. read more
