Dru completed the VIN verification and emissions test on my vehicle. I made an appointment through their website, very user friendly, and received a confirmation text shortly after. I decided I needed to modify my appointment, there didn't seem to be an option to do it on the website, so I texted the number back and asked to change my appointment, this was done quickly without issues. I arrived to my appointment 10 mins early. Dru was very helpful, friendly and professional. He entered my car's info into the system, and once my car passed the smog check, everything was updated and entered into the system already so that when I pay my registration, the DMV (or in my case, AAA) will see that my car passed the smog test. In case the system isn't updated, I was provided with a hard copy certificate to prove that it passed. My entire appointment took 10mins altogether, can't beat that! Pricing was fair and affordable, depends on the year of your car. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick smog check station.

Since my engine is covered and requires tools to access, the technician explained that he wouldn't be able to perform the test unless the engine bay was accessible. He also clarified that it's not their responsibility to remove engine covers. I mentioned that in the past I had smog checks done without needing to remove the engine cover. Instead of getting annoyed or dismissive, he calmly explained that those technicians likely didn't follow the procedure correctly and that the visual inspection is required so they can verify certain emissions components and stickers. I appreciated that he took the time to explain the reasoning behind it and educate me on the process. Even though I ultimately went somewhere else because I found a better quote, I still wanted to leave a review because the technician was respectful, patient, and very professional throughout the interaction. I told the owner ahead of time that the car is not my main car so it had been sitting and asked if it absolutely needed to be turned off during the test because the battery is acting up even tho it's brand new He said yes and then turned it off immediately, and then the car wouldn't start. Instead of being even minimally helpful, he seemed annoyed, pushed my car out of his garage, said he had nothing to jump the battery,and to come back when everything is fixed so I told him I would call AAA since I didn't have anything to jump it with (I drove the car over an hour to try to avoid this)He went upstairs for a min came back and said I can't have my car sitting in his port cause it blocks other customers which is understandable but What really bothered me was that he wouldn't let me park the car in clearly empty parking spaces in front of his shop while I waited. Instead, he pushed it out toward other businesses and I thought he was helping me maybe move it somewhere safe and out of the way so I'm up front trying to steer and I'm not sure where he wants me to go so I turn around to ask but No he straight up just pushed it away from his shop and then walked away, leaving my dead car blocking shared parking and blocking cars from coming in and out of the main entrance which I thought was SUPER RUDE AAA arrived about 8 minutes later and confirmed the battery was 100% it was just a loose terminal, which they fixed in about 10 minutes. During that entire time, not a single customer came in or out of the smog shop.maybe he was pissed because when I got there he had no customers and he was sitting on the couch watching Tv so maybe I interrupted his favorite show or something I don't expect special treatment,or feel like I'm owed anything but basic courtesy goes a long way. It was really surprising because he's usually friendly but maybe that's just when everything goes perfectly, but the moment there's a minor inconvenience, the attitude changes. When AAA was done I could have easily just backed my car up back to his shop for the smog but NOPE I took my car down the street, got great friendly service, and paid $15 less. I won't be returning.and I will no longer recommend EZ smog !
