The hours posted everywhere says 5:30 close time. Im here at 4:55pm and was told that they actually stop taking customers at 5pm. Its not 5pm yet, but they have 2 cars to do so they dont have time today. The shop should be clear about their hours. In the automotive space misleading customers is unprofessional. I wont be back. Came here in the mid afternoon after going to the smog center that I usually go to , which I found out ended up closing. The smog center had a ton of positive reviews so I decided to give it a try. after arriving, there was one car pulling out, so it was perfect as I pulled in. A young man happened to be working on a Monday, and I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. He said the car will be done in around 12 minutes. I got on a work call and before I knew it, my car was ready . He then informed me that I can either complete the registration online which the tags would take about 2 to 3 weeks or I could go straight to AAA or directly to the DMV and I could get my tags right then and there. I hadn't even considered going to AAA, but I've had a membership long time so I think this young man for suggesting AAA because I was able to get my tags the same day . Complete convenience, professionalism and suggestions here . Very happy with the service and value of this smog check center! read more

No appointment is necessary but you have to wait your turn in a limited parking area if there are people already in the queue. Once it was my turn, it was only about 15 minutes to do the smog check, and $53 later for the test and report, I was on my way. They send the smog certification electronically to the DMV. So after getting my car smogged, the smog tech handed me my paperwork. The next day I'm going to pay DMV for registration. A1 Smog lost my registration, then the owner said I must of lost it. Kinda funny that he had other clients registration paperwork. He said people forget all the time. So I was handed an envelope, I guess it is my fault for not checking I had ALL MY PAPERWORK. I waited maybe 10 minutes to be seen, and the whole thing took about 15 more minutes after that -- way better than I expected .
