My experience at Paul's was super convenient! I found them on yelp and just got up to head over for a smog check. It's located in a very easy to get to location and avoids busy streets. As I arrived I was led to pull right into the dock bay. The employee got right to work by gathering my documents and preparing the paperwork. Within 15 minutes everything was done and I was on my way out! I thought the price was very reasonable too, around $50. I would totally recommend. read more

Came in on 3-9-26 (Monday morning) to smog test my Mustang, so apparently K&N drop-in filters are not allowed to have on?? The short fat guy just shrugged his shoulders. Took it to another smog test station on 223rd St. and it passed with no problems. I will not come back here. read more

First time coming here to do my SMOG for my car based on reviews I saw on a FB page for my city, and I was very amazed and impressed with everything! it was a bit hard to find, but we eventually found it after circling around the plaza. It wasn't busy, pulled right up and the owners son was the one who took care of us. Very polite and took care of everything smoothly. Another big plus, he's a STEELERS fan! lol. Paul's Smog check and Test Only is great! I had been a past customer from many years ago with my oldest car. My current 2015 car needed a Smog per DMV/AAA this time. So, I called him on a very rainy Saturday if his shop would be open on the upcoming Monday holiday and he said yes. I was the only customer in the AM. Paul is still the super pleasant guy I remembered him to be and his son is now a young adult helping him out. I was in and out quickly, probably about 10 mins. The shop is tucked away in a commercial/industrial park across the street from IKEA and 24 Hour Fitness. The front office will direct you to the garage around in the back. You'll see a red banner that says "STAR Certified Smog Check." I recommended Paul's to my husband who might be getting a smog check this year. 5 Stars! read more

Looking for a STAR certified Smog check. Takes credit card (Visa/Mastercard) $49.97 For cars year 2000 and above. Paul is extremely nice. The first time, I didn't pass Smog, Paul was able to explain to me why it didn't pass and what I needed to do to get it fixed. It was $41 for the test. There's a free retest within 30 days and I was able to pass it. Charge $8 for the certificate. read more

I called ahead on a Monday since I needed to get my car smogged in order to get my tags. The gentleman on the phone said no one was there and I could be in and out. By the time I arrived, someone had just pulled in. I was asked to park my car and told they'd be with me as soon as possible. The younger gentleman asked if I was the one who called earlier (Yes, it was me!). He asked if I had my smog paperwork from the DMV (I didn't, oops!) and said he could use an old registration if needed. He then instructed me to park my car. About 5 minutes later I was told to pull my car inside as soon as the other car backed out. I did as instructed and had a seat in the waiting area. Before I could even make a dent in my coffee, my car was all done! I was in and out within 15 minutes. When I paid, I was thanked for coming in. I can't remember the last time someone thanked me for supporting their business. I was also told that I could take my paperwork to AAA and get tags the same day. What a pleasant father/son duo. Went to pay my vehicle registration on-line yesterday and noticed something I had not noticed when I placed the form next to my computer so I wouldn't forget to pay it. Surprise! Smog Check Due! This morning, with 10 days left before the due date and Christmas and New Year's Day in between, I used yelp to see if I could find a place close to work, and the reviewers who came before me led me to Paul's. I called this morning, they were open! No appointments needed for newer cars, so I headed over just before lunch and there was no wait! (I guess everyone else is frantically Christmas shopping...) I have been coming to Paul's Smog Check & Test for decades. My brother recommended the shop years ago and it quickly became the "go to" place for all of my family and then all of our friends. I visited this business have my 1999 Toyota Tacoma smog check. Upon arrival, I was told that I would've had to make an appointment due to the year of my truck but then the owner said if you can come back in an hour we can do the smog. I was very thankful to have it done that morning because my registration was due the following day. Attempted to get my vehicle smog retested after i driven the miles to reset the monitors only to be turned away with a BS excuse saying i have to take to where it was originally tested at and was against the law for them to test it. Meanwhile after i called a different smog shop i was confirmed they were lying. Consider one of the more reputable shops in the area. read more
