During their prep, they discovered previous bodywork, which was poorly done and reached out to that body shop to settle the cost difference. They then completed the entire job correctly and the results were stunning. The bodywork is so straight and smooth, that it's even better than the factory lines. And the paint work was perfectly matched and flawless. Excellent Auto Collision Repair shop located in the heart of Simi Valley. I took one of my cars that was hit at Starbucks by someone not paying attention and was on his phone. I brought it in to have them take a look at it and assessed for an estimate. was met by Lance who was both personable and informative. Because of family emergency I needed to cancel on them twice and reschedule. They were gracious and understanding. My husband hit a pole when parking my car. I dreaded getting the repair and put it off for as long as I could (lease is up next month) and was going to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket. One place said I would have to replace the bumper! The former City Auto Body, I bought it here for the estimate. Jim told me to drive the car to the first carport and that the guys would take care of me. They buffed the damage right out and even touched up the paint. I was in and out in 20 min. I had my seatbelts replaced last year and it took them 2 months! Then a couple months later, I got a call from Lance, saying that they forgot to put the covers on behind the Driver side and to come by anytime. Mind you my insurance paid for them. I paid my deductible. I wasn't driving my car because I broke my hip, so it took me months to get by there. I called end of September to say I was coming to get them put on, their answer was, wait so I can find them. 2 weeks went by and no call back. so I called them back and they told me that it's been so long, nine months that they threw them out. Who throws parts out when you're a Body Shop? Then they told me that because they threw them out and it's been so long. I have to pay out-of-pocket for two little plastic cheapie things that just cover the bolts on the back of the seatbelt on the floor and he wants to charge me $75 plus tax for each. We negated because I've used him multiple times that he would pay half, either way my insurance already paid for them so now he's double dipping no! I called a reputable body shop in Simi Valley not his and I asked if that's their policy of what they do and they said no they would never throw out the parts that's why they have a stack of parts, said he, right there and that's just not cool. I called back and spoke to Lance. Because they got the parts in and I agreed to split it. When called me and they said I have 10 days to get there and put them on or they're throwing them away or whatever returning them I don't know. I told them I just started a new job and I worked till six and Woodland Hills and they said well we're only open till five so it's you know this is it or that's nothing. I finally spoke directly with Lance again and I told him what the other body Shop told me and he wasn't liking it too much. He kept saying that they kept calling me and that they left me a message that said if you don't come get them, we're throwing them out they never did that ever. So when I talk to him, I said well I'm gonna come on Friday, which was this it's gonna be this Friday and, you know whatever I do want to see a print out of your documentation that you say you called me and told me that if I didn't come get them, you were gonna throw them out. Lance got very upset with that. I almost didn't wanna even put them on anymore, but we kind of worked it out I guess and I was gonna be there on Friday because I had that day off this day off so then same day and he has his receptionist call me and tell me that that Lance would have them put on if I can get there before five. I said I'm working till six. I can't because well that's it, I had to take work off early to go get them put on. When I got there, I went in and told him who I was the receptionist and then Lance said to tell so-and-so to put them on so so-and-so whoever's name was put them on, but as he was opening my door he goes. I remember this car yeah cause I'm the one that broke them, so he broke them. My insurance shouldn't be covering for them because they should be the same ones I don't know but either way I am like OK so you broke him yeah OK well Lance you're a shady dude I would never recommend anybody going to you again? Yeah I will not be using you ever again, yeah so thanks for nothing! read more

My car got a long and pretty deep scratch on the passenger side front door. I've only had the car for a couple months now and of course, seeing this big long scratch on my new car was such a disappointment. My service advisor at Simi Valley Toyota referred me to Chad White and his team at CARSTAR Simi Valley. When I met with Chad, he was very thorough, knowledgeable, and transparent. He gave some very probable causes as to what may have caused the scratch and was upfront about what would possibly be required to fix it. I felt very safe and comfortable leaving my car with them. My truck was sideswiped parked. Carstar was referred by my insurance company so I took there. Truck was to take 16 business days yet took 30. Zero communication from this shop unless I called them. Was told multiple reasons why the delay and they were never theirs. They would not take responsibility. This would be one thing if the work quality was good but it was so bad the truck is now at another shop being fixed correctly. This shop REFUSED to take the truck back and fix their bad work even at the request of the insurance company. I couldn't be more satisfied with the work on my 40 ft monaco Class A Rv. I had need for a new door in the downstairs compartment and a fender replacement. Gunter did a great job in communicating with me all the way through the process. His staff was very responsive. I got a great paint and stripping match. On time work and did a great clean up of little blemishes on the same side of the Rv. Got me out on time at my request for a tight schedule.
