I have been going to the body shop for years. The service and work has been great. This time my car sat for over 2 weeks waiting on the other insurance for approval. The initial estimate was about $800 dollars. It turn out it was over $2000 dollars. The 1st week I didn't hear a thing about the repair. I had to call multiple times to get up dates. It seem as if I was bothering them when I called. When it was ready the balance I owed about $750 , which I paid. Then it turns out they said I owed them another $30 dollars. Kinda upsetting to me that I owed more. When I was ready to go my battery was dead and they told me I had a bad battery. I came there on a charged battery and now I had to replace? The thing that was up setting was the attitude on my adviser Rick. He wasn't very nice. He was in a bad mood and looked like he didn't like his job. Normally when I had to deal with him he seemed nice. It would have been nice if they would have charged the battery if it was sitting for a long period and charge when I was suppose to pick it up. read more

Horrible service. My 2018 Tesla had some damage to the left front corner. While replacing the bumper, they claimed they needed to remove the right fender and they broke the camera in the process. They tried to order a replacement, but the one that came was black instead of chrome. When I picked it up, I pointed out that they didn't match. They said that the chrome cameras were discontinued, but perhaps they could find the right part. Later they called to tell me that they had received the part, and I needed to drive to Simi Valley again, but when I got there, they just stuck on a plain unbranded piece of chrome with 3M tape, which wasn't even a close match. I asked why they wouldn't make it so both sides matched, and they said they won't replace something they didn't break, even though they admit they broke the other side, leaving them mismatched. If they broke one side, the very least they could do is repair it so both sides match. They claimed they were familiar with working on Teslas, but I should have known early on that this was not true. Over the first week, I kept getting notifications that my doors were left unlocked. I would see that it was outside in the parking lot, so I'd lock the doors remotely. I went there to get some things out of the car and explained that it was being left unlocked, they explained "No, the Teslas automatically lock when you walk away with the key card." I tried to tell them that's not true and only applies to Bluetooth Phones with the Tesla app, but still continued to receive "doors were left unlocked" messages for the remainder of the time there. Would not recommend these people to any Tesla owners. read more

A friend referred me to owner Dino. When I stopped by for a quote Dino wasn't there but Rick Theobald was! I had received an estimate from a competitor that I thought was high as it was $1000 over the ballpark I was given. Also, I was told they'd need the car at least a week. Within minutes, Rick checked out the damage and gave me a competitive estimate. He was prepared to take my vehicle in the next week and estimated no more than three days for the repair to be completed. Although I didn't need it, Rick offered to handle the rental for me. By the way, this shop does repair work for insurance carriers like Nationwide, Mercury, Kemper among others. As an industry veteran, I know the vetting these guys go through with carriers to receive carrier referrals. In addition to Rick, Michelle and Angela were helpful as well. Three days after dropping off my car, I picked it up. As I paid my bill, Dino asked me to keep my receipt and sign the completed work order because he offers a "lifetime warranty" on the repairs. The Body Shop isn't a corporate store like others in the Valley. I feel like I'm part of their family now. One more thing....they washed my car and made my tires look new! Came here to repair a car that was in a collision. 100% the other driver's fault and covered by insurance completely. This collision happened 8 months ago and I had to drop it off here for the fifth time today. Same collision and all of these problems could have been dealt with the first time. We had to keep coming back with a new problem that was always related to the body shop not doing their part correctly the first visit. The times that I have had to deal with staff, the customer service was horrid. No hellos, thank you, or manners at all. People rolling their eyes, shaking their heads, and speaking in a condescending tone. Definitely don't recommend this place even if the prices are attractive. A few years ago I was rear ended and there was no real damage but a black scuff mark on my tail gate and I tried everything to get it out. I was driving by The Body Shop and figured I would stop and see what it would cost to get it fixed. I explained what I needed and Dino came out to take a look at it, he went back in came out with some kind of solution and towel and in a matter of a couple minutes it was gone! When I asked what I owed him, he said nothing! Well a month ago my newest truck was side swiped and I chose to go against my insurance company, who wanted me to take it to Star Auto Body, (thats a whole other Yelp review coming up!) and dropped it off with Dino. First I would like to thank Yelp for allowing me to share my experience with this establishment . My car had a grill damage that needed work on . I , not being my first rodeo , had several quotes already for my repair from other shops , and it was around 350~ 450 . Respectfully , I assumed that it would be around there so the business can make some money too and feed everyone there . This shop , quoted me 6 or even 7 times the amount others were charging . When the employee inspecting my car finally said I might need a new bumper , new this . Knew that , he said it might be close to 2000$ when it's done .
