Not AAA approved. I'm getting ready to file BAR complaint. Had a repair done on the front end of my Silverado post collision. Shop was recommended by a friend who knew the owner (I guess he retired and friend said people say quality has gone downhill). I stopped in to check on progress and my truck was parked outside with the rear taillights removed. I asked why and was told it was "to match the paint with front fender (replacement) so they painted the entire side. I accepted this at face value, not thinking it was covering something up. I would have even opted for a complete repaint had I known ahead of time (or if they had let me know about the cover-up). Fast forward a few years, paint started spidering and cracking on the hood replacement, but metal wasn't exposed. Then a bubble appeared on the rear (repainted) fender and it grew. It split and primer appeared underneath. More cracks started appearing across the entire area of respray. I looked closer while taking pics and saw the Bondo separation (wheel well) where they just slathered Bondo, shaped it to match the body lines and called it "paint matching" ("phew, time to pop the Coronas)." I called and emailed, Eddie said he would "look into it." Now they have gone radio silent. This truck was purchased new in Oxnard, had always been hand washed, just used as a commuter. No accidents or previous dents or repairs. I'd have accepted working out a solution before, but deciding to ignore leaves me no option but to have the proper repair done and sue in small claims. Use caution if you any service performed and keep a close eye on the repair afterwards. Better yet, find a shop approved by your insurance company. I learned an expensive lesson. read more

I backed out of the garage, hit the bottom of the garage door as it was opening, and ripped off the housing unit of the antenna on top of the vehicle. Thus, the hood of the vehicle was depressed and the seal around the base of the antenna was compromised. The following service was performed: flattened out the hood, removed the headliner, tightened the antenna, and sealed any gaps to avoid potential water from seeping under the antenna into the vehicle headliner. The quality of service I received, especially from the manager, Eddie, was superb. I had some anxiety, concerns and questions. Eddie was patient, professional, knowledgeable and kind. He explained the detailed repairs and labor involved, and convincingly put my concerns to rest. When the repairs were completed, the car looked great, inside and out. The cost of repair matched the quote, and was reasonable and comparable. I'm am a return customer, and recommend this business. If needed I will return again. read more

I've unfortunately needed to utilize the services of Newcastle twice in relatively quick succession... but FORTUNATELY I've had 2 incredible experiences. The quality of their work has been exceptional both times. The price has also been very fair. First instance was a pretty nasty, deep, door ding. I was quoted a price and they came in under the initial quote. Second instance I had backed into a post causing damage to both my rear bumper and my tailgate. Both were fixed back to original appearance, and again at a reasonable price. My door ding was fixed the same day I dropped it off and the more extensive damage returned within 2 days. read more

I had paint and body done on my truck and when told to pick it up, the vehicle was very dirty. Sanding dust , bird droppings, sap. I complained to Eddie that this was unacceptable. He had his guy take it to clean it up. The photos of the dust still on the truck is after the wash. "Bring it back after the paint cures", was the parting comment to me from Newcastle. I discovered Newcastle about a year ago after getting rear-ended. From the start, they were efficient, professional, and committed to doing a perfect job--and they absolutely delivered. Someone hit and ran my car's bumper in Manhattan Beach a couple weeks ago. I was so upset as I had a feeling something would happen with their horrible parking situation there. I looked on Yelp, and found this place. From the very first call to Efran, who told me to bring it in, I knew they were top notch! Frank wrote my estimate and was absolutely wonderful the whole way through. They replaced my bumper and matched the paint, which is three stage. My car looks beautiful and they treated me like a VIP! Hopefully I don't get in another car accident, but if I do, I wouldn't take my car anywhere else - Eddie and Cosme are super friendly, knowledgeable, and they have the BEST customer service! They also fixed my almost-totaled 2019 Off Road Premium 4Runner (apx $25k damage-needed a whole new rear end + more) so I can take it on shelf roads and in sketchy off road situations with confidence that it is safe - that was my biggest fear, but they did a great job. They are also honest and stand behind their repairs - the repairs weren't 100% perfect, but they fixed an axle issue I had later with no hassle. And again, the biggest concern for me was not being petrified with fear that my car might break while on the side of a mountain - I don't worry about that at all (see pics below - this was the day after I picked it up). You will get an honest opinion/recommendation to get your vehicle looking brand new for probably half the cost at a different body shop. I don't live in Simi and it's at least a 30 minute drive for me to get to the shop but it is BEYOND worth it. Eddie (and the whole team) is one of the most honest and genuinely good people I've ever interacted with in a customer service industry. He'll tell you what you need done, but more importantly, what you DON'T need done. I trust him completely. He went above and beyond for the repairs/job I needed done. I was getting the roof of my car repainted and when I picked it up, Eddie showed me the car and pointed out how they essentially REPAINTED the whole car from the body line up. I can't say enough good things about the service here. I had an after market hood painted black to match the rest of my car and installed. I later decided I'd also like them to install a new grill (seen in photo) along with it. They even fixed my uneven front bumper that was due to a run in with debris on the freeway. What topped it off for me was that they even delivered my old hood back to my house so that I could resell it.
