REFUSED TO GET ALL THE BROKEN GLASS OUT OF THE DOOR! I took my 2023 Ford F150 in to have both passenger side windows replaced after someone broke into my truck. They replaced both windows but my door sounded like a maraca with all the broken glass they left inside. I brought it back in and they got some of the glass out but still left quite a bit. They flat out told me that it wasn't their job to get all the glass out and that they didn't have the correct tools to do so. I said "Replacing broken glass is literally all you do and you don't have the right tools?" I strongly don't recommend Safelite. I then called Auto Glass Specialist and they said they could do it no problem for the cost of labor and that they don't consider a job done until all the glass is gone as that is the industry standard. Moral of the story is Safelite doesn't care about their quality of work or their reputation. If your insurance tries to get you to go to Safelite I would absolutely refuse! Hope this helps someone in the future from becoming a Safelite victim. read more

Appointment for 1:30 show up at 1:20 the guy says a window replacement is 1-2 hours, seems a little long for a window replacement but too late now I'm here already. Doesn''t start on the car until 2:20, I watch through the window and know for a fact it wasn't touched till after 2pm. What is the point of making a 1:30 appointment just set it for 2 or 2:30 why waste everyone's time. We weren't out of there till after 3:30pm. Then they claim it's got rust under it but don't worry we'll fix it and it'll be good for 7 years, I have to laugh because buddy that's what yall said less than 4 years ago when yall did this same shifty act and here we are less than 7 years and your singing the same rust song and dance. Then my dad asks "well since it's been less than 7 years what can we do to prevent this from happening again?" Buddy has the audacity to say "you could not drive it" Guy thinks he's funny, you're not a comedian dude you're irritating. I had to walk out because this is the most unprofessional malarkey I ever heard in my life bro. Place is a joke, people that work here are a joke, save your self the trouble and make them come to your house, see how much quicker they get that ish done when they are in the heat and want to get out of there. Then make sure to crack jokes at their expense while they are trying to get the heck out of there. PLUS the seats in the lobby are loud, creaking, uncomfortable on purpose like built way to small both wide and deep like they are meant for children or just for show. Just all around piece of trash establishment and business practices. AND, buddy in the front desk was "whispering" (your loud as ish guy, write it down if you do want ppl to hear you) to new customer (two dudes in high vis shirts that just walked in asking for a quote on behalf of the city of nixa) not to use them (safelite) and to go next door or down the street to their competitor because it'll be way cheaper and quicker. When i called them to get my money back they said they would talk to their supervisor tomorrow to see if they might be able to give me a refund. Glad not to get dinged on my auto insurance. 1. Easy online appointment scheduling. 2. Due to changing business travel itineraries, I had to change my appointment several times which was made easy by their online reservations. 3. The quote never changed & was honored without an up charge. 4. My expert technician from Mountain Home went above & beyond as my wiper arm bolts were frozen & needed a blowtorch to loosen them. Wish I could remember his name--he's been with the company 20+ years. I will absolutely call Safelite the very day a chip should appear. I am astounded at how easy it was for me to get my windshield replaced. I called in my claim on a Monday and received an immediate appointment for the following day to have my windshield repaired. My rock chip was in a precarious place on my windshield. The large chip appeared deep to me, and it already started spidering out. The placement of the chip was very near the windshield wipers, and I knew that the wipers might contribute to a repair being problematic. Although the area of the repair was barely smaller than a dollar bill, I thought a repair might be complicated. The day of my appointment I was able to talk to the repair technician gary and send him pictures of my damages to save him a trip in case my assumptions of a poor repair were accurate. Gary was wonderful to work with. He was able to review my photographs and confirm that a repair would be very problematic due to the depth and location of the large chip. Gary advised he would order my windshield and ask Sheila to get me on the calendar to have it replaced. Sheila called and was able to get me in to have my windshield replaced at my home on Friday. Wow ! What service !! When Friday came Eric came out to my house I was able to put in my windshield quickly and efficiently. Eric called ahead to ensure I had everything ready to go and I was able to pay online to make the process streamlined and easy. I have never had a windshield replacement go as easy as this did. Wanted to replace my cracked Gladiator windshield with Gorilla Glass windshield. Called Nixa store and spent close to 15 minutes tring to get through the AI phone service to a real person who told me that the store would have to be contacted to beri if it could be done and price. Then would not provide a local number other than the one I already called. If I can't call the people who are to work on my vehicle then I'll find someone that does take my calls. read more

Returning home from vacation our 2024 F-150 took a rock dead center in the windshield. As the truck only has about 5K miles and past experience with repair was not my preference. I contacted our Ford Dealer who said Safelite was a good replacement provider but warned that if the windshield was replaced with a non-oem part and any issue with the electronics or a leak causing damage my warranty would not cover it. If OEM my warranty would remain. We went to Safelite NIXA and met Caleb. After evaluating he agreed that the crack was not repairable as it would always show. My agent asked for an estimate for the OEM glass which Caleb provided and said if agent had any questions to contact him directly. Insurance approved the OEM glass and Caleb scheduled the replacement at our home two days after receiving the insurance approval for yesterday (Saturday). Richard their Field Technician arrived and performed the replacement in about 2 hours. He was meticulous keeping areas free of debris and avoiding any damage. Once the windshield was replaced he drove the vehicle to calibrate the electronics attached to the windshield. in my 50+ years of driving I have had numerous windshields both repaired and or replaced. Some with Safelite in CA. My experience with Safelite in NIva and especially with Caleb and Richard was the best I have ever had. Both are professional and personable. Going the extra mile for customer satisfaction. I recommend them for any auto glass need you may have. read more

a small chip repair became a three way crack. The tech asked me after if I had washed my car before I came as to give an excuse why he made the chip worse. Yes 4 hours before with no change in the size of the chip. (I did not notice the chip until after my car wash). Was quoted 900 for a new windshield. Found cheaper calling around town. I do not recommend this place. If you go, make sure Richard does not help you. He is not experienced and must be new. I have many of chips from previous vehicles they have repaired and did not need a full windshield after "repair". Disappointed and steer clear.. read more

They came to my house to replace the windshield in my pickup they even made it earlier than the appointment was scheduled which was great it didn't take long at all for them to put it in and have it done they did a great job and I really appreciate them coming to my house and making it so convenient and easy for me. Made an appointment on line which went well. A quote was sent with a statement there would be an additional charge if recalibration was needed for the safety system. Check in went well but nothing was said about recalibration. The new windshield was installed and the technician was polite and showed me the summary of charge. All was as originally quoted but an additional charge added of 650$ for recalibration. The charge of the recalibration was not discussed with me prior to the work being done and was 120$ more than the new windshield itself. This seems quite excessive and should have been discussed before the service was ever completed. Due to this poor business practice would not recommend. read more

I was really impressed with my service from Safelite. They sent multiple emails and texts with up to date info. They even sent a picture of the technician so I knew who to expect. John was my technician and he was great! He cleaned all my windows and walked me through the whole repair process. In addition, he informed me why my auto wipers were not working. Apparently the previous owner had the front window replaced and did not put the wiper sensor back on when the window was installed. John pointed it out to me so I could get it fixed. Only options for scheduling are 8:00 to noon or noon to 6:00pm. Scheduled an apt 6/30/23 somewhere between noon to 6pm. Technician showed at 4:15pm. Spent 30 minutes then told me his computer tablet wasn't working so he couldn't replace my windshield. Told me I would have to reschedule. I asked him if he could just reschedule for me and he said no. So I rescheduled for Saturday 7/8/23- 8 to noon. Had email confirmation and emails reminding me to be available, referral number 139337. Waited all morning and no one showed. There is no local number listed on the web site. I called the Safelight number and all you get is a computer recording where one of the choices is "questions about appointment". I called 5 times and despite stating clearly I had question about appointment the computer every time switches to a completely different choice and then says "no one is available" and hangs up. This company has completely wasted two half days of my time. Will never use them again. Will contact my insurance carrier and let them know my experience. read more

Had the windshield I needed (unlike other shops in Springfield). It was a reasonable price and the service was done fairly quickly for windshield replacement. It was definitely hassle free and easy to make an appointment online (and change it too). Will definitely use Safelite again if I need any windshield repairs. read more

I had a VERY bad experience with them! I get to the shop, excited to get my cracked windshield replaced. The salesman gave me the review that if there is rust over 20 squared inches or more, then they can't replace the windshield. I said fine. I knew my truck had barely any rust and if it did, then it was small amounts of surface rust. I leave there and let them do there thing. I get a call 2-3 hours later saying they can't replace it; too much rust. I go back and look at the truck with the salesman. He showed me all of the "deep rust" all around my windshield. My friend pointed out that the glass must have shattered when they took it out. He confirmed that and I watched him blow all of the glass shards on my hood into my cab. That got me pretty mad. Then he tried selling me to go get it fixed by the mechanic across the street. I drove my truck, without a windshield, back to my friends house and grinded off the THIN layer of rust. These guys didn't even bother to see if the rust was actually deep! He told me over the phone that the rust was DEEP and BAD! It was only surface rust. It gets better, they also broke the hood vent and through it in the back of my truck with all of the other pieces they took off. Worst experience I had at an auto mechanic place ever! I'm doing my windshield myself and going polycarbonate route. A lot cheaper than those people! read more

Amazing. I got a chip in my windshield on Friday, and was able to get my vehicle in Saturday morning to prevent the crack from growing. They were fast and awesome to work with. Took my car that I traded in to get a chip looked at they said it was just a surface chip and since it didn't go all the way through they couldn't do anything. They said have a good day there was no charge since there's nothing wrong and now I'm getting bills sent for $80 and of course you can't get ahold of anyone on the automated line. After two phone calls to Safelite got me nowhere, I was finally able to schedule an appointment online. The process was simple as all I had to do was provide some vehicle info. The problem came when I went to check in for my appointment. They immediately told me they couldn't replace my windshield and recalibrate the crash avoidance sensor because the vehicle had larger tires on it and a lift. My issue is that if I am expected to do everything online why isn't there a check box that indicates that the vehicle has larger tires than factory or a check box indicating the vehicle has a lift? Thank you for wasting my time. I can promise I will never step foot inside of Safelite's building again. read more

I've had to wait a total of two weeks to get my front windshield replaced when it should've taken one day. They rescheduled my appointment a two times. Once due to weather, and the other was because they cracked the new windshield they were supposed to put on my car. Then today, I take my car to their shop and they put in another new windshield, and while they're putting it in, it "stress cracks" and they don't do anything about it. They just said "so sorry about that. We can schedule you for another appointment." So i have a new windshield but another crack because of them. It's been a frustrating process because I needed it by this weekend but low and behold, they don't deliver or satisfy the customer. read more
