Just ordered take out from here. No question about it - my new favorite place to eat. Large cheese and tomato burrata salad. This salad is nothing like the salad we've ordered from another Italian restaurant in Dover. Very fresh with outstanding Burrata and love the balsamic dressing. $30 will have leftovers. Wonderful food. Small place but they pump out some amazing Italian food. Freshly made Mozz, breaded and fried was awesome. Caesar Salad was crisp and great homemade dressing. Meatball stuffed Eggplant was over the top good. Meatballs were tender, eggplant thick and crispy. My first time at Cartelli's and I am sure it was not the last time. We had the Garlic Cheese Bread and Bruschetta appetizer and the Meet Lovers Pizza and Shrimp Scampi Pasts for our entrée. All 4 delicious dished I would order again within the blink of an eye. The friendly service by Kelli was spot on, marking sure there was nothing missing, glasses filled and everybody served to full satisfaction. The Garlic Cheese Bread was good but could use a little bit more cheese. But this is my subjective option only. Other than that, there is nothing else I would change. The Meat Lover Pizza was the right choice for me. I really like the thin dough crusty pizza style loaded with a lot of goodies. For those who are not a fan of thin crusted pizza, there is always the choice of a NY style. The Shrimp Scampi Pasta, another great dish. Tasty, good portions and with plenty of seafood. Right at the point leaving, the manager gave it a quick check in if all was good. This really shows you how much the team cares. All in all, great dinner for a fair price, absolutely worth it. read more

Wonderful staff and excellent food! Drove an hour to see my granddaughter who works there expecting just another pizza joint. Boy, were we surprised! Wow, did not disappoint!! A friend recommended we try this restaurant because we love Patty B's in Dover. Cartelli's is minutes away from our home so we have it a shot. I remember the old restaurant there (Crossroads) so I was surprised when I walked in to find it fully renovated, and an amazing atmosphere! We each had a drink, espresso martini with Baileys and a Tito's soda water (both drinks were perfect). We ordered and enjoyed the fried mozzarella (if you've had it in the north end, you may appreciate it, it's close). We opted to get the Bianco pizza, which was exactly as described and absolutely delicious! We couldn't help but get a side of chicken parm (YES-THEY OFFER A IT AS A SIDE!!) and it was nice and crispy, and flavorful. With all this food we had leftovers and took a tiramisu to go to give it a try, also delish! Can't wait to return and rifle through some more entries over the next several visits! Ps- staff is amazing, very friendly and punctual. If you're going on a Saturday night, probably best to call ahead and make a reservation, we were glad we did, it was quite busy!! read more

They are very stingy with the pizza sauce, even when we ask for extra. Crust is always dried out.

I have only ordered to go from their new restaurant and it's delicious! Everything is so fresh and you can tell so much care goes in to the preparation. These are people who take pride in what they serve. There aren't many good Italian restaurants around, so I hope they stay in business and continue making their vodka sauce for decades to come! read more

We've been to Cartelli's North End four times now and have been very happy with everything we've tried. Chicken parmigiana, Stuffed eggplant, Chicken Marsala, all wonderful, and the vodka sauce is fantastic. Great Italian Resturant. Now that we found it we will certainly be regulars. read more

BEST ITALIAN FOOD AROUND! This restaurant has the best food! Great service, good hours. A bit too noisy so I get my food to go. The Cheesey Italian bread is really good, the meatballs, chicken parm sandwich, etc.. Portions are huge. The dinners are delish too. The only negative is the wait. Get into the restaurant early and order your take out early too. Friday night take out takes an hour if called in after 7:00 pm. Wish they had a bigger place. There are a few outside tables, but it's a small area and there was a lot of rain this summer! read more

I went to Cartelli's when it was in downtown Dover. I don't recommend it. Waitress was so rude I was in disbelief! Brought out a salad that was rotted and covered with different colored mold! When I mentioned it to her, she argued with me saying it looked fine to her. Never Again! It gets worse, much worse. My company and I left and we were literally shaken up by the psycho waitress and how awful she was! read more

Very good first time experience. Pick up was easy. Ordered a meatball sub that was pretty good, the mozzarella salad that was... good, and the spinach dip which was good. Overall, just good. Just got North End delivered tonight. I got the meatball Parmesan and a Large Margherita pizza. The food was bomb.com! The sauce on the pizza was 10/10, it had that sweet tang and tasted so damn fresh. The meatballs were tender and full of flavor. I make my own meatballs as well and can vouch these meatballs are . The sauce on them balls had a touch of spice to compliment everything else. I'll be ordering again soon. Gonna snag one of them meatball subs next! read more

Ricky and Bernadette were amazing tonight! The service was phenomenal with very little wait time! The Penne Ala Vodka was delicious and all the sauces are homemade. The pizza was half green peppers, sausage and was honestly some of the best pizza I have ever had. Cartelli's is definitely on my list of restaurants to come back to! read more

Amazing pizza every single time! Have not had a pizza there that was not phenomenal! The crust is soft, chewy and a little crunchy. All of the toppings are fresh, the cheese is just the right amount of stretchy and the sauce would make any true Italian proud! My daughter's high school graduation was late on a and we wanted a place for friends and family to meet and celebrate the special occasion. Cartelli's made it happen! During COVID times when most places are closing at 8 or 9 and are hurting for help, Cartelli's hosted our event of 27 people---giving us the best, high-touch experience---and it all started at 9pm! The owner and his crew were so accommodating, and the service-outstanding. The food was a huge hit, it was hot, and fresh and yummy as always! We had a couple of folks with dietary restrictions and their needs were met and given special attention. Highly recommend! The food was great and the service exceptional. Can't say enough about the enormous effort that was made to ensure everyone had a truly wonderful experience. Their staff was not only friendly, but highly attentive and skilled---no request went unmet...really stand out service- did I mention the service?... Delizioso! Cartelli's has made an excellent addition to the restaurant scene in Somersworth NH. Located in the former Crossroads restaurant building, they have renovated and renewed it into a wonderful Italian bistro serving some exquisite food in a simple setting. We reserved a table for an early dinner and we're seated immediately. The decor is simple and clean and although it was far too noisy and hard to hear, I know they are just opening and a little more well placed sound dampening will make this location perfect ( and no dings for the loud environment, because the food and service more than made up for that!) The food; We were a party of four and ordered one of their wood fired pizzas, chicken Caesar wrap and The Roma. The pizza was well cooked and so good that there was none left to take home. The Chicken Caesar wraps were well prepared and had a very tasty Cesar dressing. The Roma was incredible! Chicken, eggplant, prosciutto, served on a Ciabatta roll that was lightly toasted with basil and olive oil, and it was amazing! Best sandwich I've had in a very long time! Wine and beer selection was about what you'd expect ( especially since they are just opening ), certainly enough to choose from. We will have to visit again to see how the rest of the food is, but based on this visit it will be delectable. We topped it all off with a little tiramisu which satisfies all. As for service, our server ( Faith, I think?) was outstanding. She answered all our questions and was fast and attentive, even with the decent crowd they had there. She was moving constantly both inside and outside with customers and smiling all the way. Thank you for a pleasant Friday night dinner. Pizza was okay... not horrible but not spectacular . For the price point ( about $18.00 per large if you want toppings ) there are much better local choices like La Festa and the new brick oven from Revolution. The pizza had too much basil ( I love basil but it's all you could taste). The sauce had a strange after taste that made me wonder if it was canned. We also got the fried mozzarella which came it two large triangle that needed to be cut to share and was sitting in a vat of sauce so was no longer crispy .
