Originally it was going to take over 2…read moremonths to get my dog a grooming appointment, but apparently the owner hired a new groomer and got us scheduled right away. Nothing wrong with that, however, the "new" groomer shaved way to close to my dog's skin within her sanitary region. A bad razor burn with swelling and oozing resulted a day later. I took her to the vet, and the doctor said the close shave caused irritation which resulted in an infection. When I confronted the owner, she denied any responsibility for the infection that resulted from the razor burn and wouldn't reimburse us anything because apparently they were not "liable." This is an absolute degradation to their services and an extreme disappointment. We have enjoyed taking our dog there in the past, but I'm not about to let something like this happen again just to have to take my dog to the vet again. The grooming fee is already expensive enough without the addition of an unexpected vet bill. The owner showed little sympathy and didn't seem to care about our dog's well being at all. I would expect a good groomer to take the health and well being of the animals of the upmost importance, but money and pride seemed to have gotten in the way. I guess its too hard to take care of your customers and take responsibility for an issue that one of your staff members caused. I expect better treatment from a "Professional" grooming service.

Last week, one of them started declining very quickly, and Dr. Briley took extra time to explain her condition and what she was experiencing with the utmost compassion. Once we realized she wasn't able to recover after days of treatment, Dr. Briley helped us navigate the "not too early/not too late" conundrum of euthanasia and was able to come to our home to help her pass on. For a day you never want to come, it was the absolute smoothest and peaceful experience for our little girl. The staff was all so kind and considerate during this difficult time, and even sent us a card in which each one of them wrote a sweet message with their condolences. Country Club is now helping us keep our remaining dog as comfortable as possible for as long as possible. I put in a reservation for my next boarding as soon as I left from picking him up. I was not called for weeks to know about the reservation and when i was called (only 2 weeks before the scheduled reservation) I was told that my dog would not be able to be boarded there unless I payed and brought him during the week for daycare. I was told that my dog did not do well with the other dogs, but that "he could have been overstimulated due to there being over 40 dogs boarded that weekend". Why wouldn't they separate the dogs into smaller groups for playtime? I send my dog to a doggie daycare in another town that has live video feeds and I keep a close eye on him. He is always fine and never causes problems. I feel that there could have been communication when i was picking up my dog. And I wonder if they are trying to get me to pay more money for daycare just so I can board him there. There are many better facilities to board your pet than here.

They make sure all dogs being boarded are up to date on of their vaccines plus the standard ones vets typically require to board a dog - flu shot and what not- it makes me feel good knowing that they make sure all the dogs are safe. I only needed for them to watch her for about 30 hours. I dropped her off Saturday morning and picked her up Sunday afternoon. I dropped her off with enough food for 2 days, a blanket that she sleeps on, a toy, and a bone filled with peanut butter. When I went to pick her up I noticed that her blanket, toy, and bone were not in her kennel. I didn't think that was the biggest deal ever BUT when I arrived back home after picking her up, she did the same thing that she did the last time I brought her home after picking her up from Petcations. My dog drank so much water I had to fill her water bowl up twice. I take her on 4+ mile walks every week so I know what her normal water intake is even after a lot of exercise. I've never seen her drink water like that. I called them after I got home to discuss why my dog was so thirsty. They told me that there is water in the playrooms and outside and the only time that they do not have water available is when they're in their kennels. This leads me to believe that they just leave them in their kennels for long periods of time. Maybe that's not true but it's the only thing that makes sense to me. I want to like this place because it's convenient like I said earlier, but sadly I can't.

She is the closest…read morething I've found to a proactive vet in the lake area, a vet who is truly concerned with healing rather than building up your bill. I personally believe we over vaccinate by vaccinating every year. I was looking for a vet who offers titers. A titer will test your pet for antibodies and let you know if they need to be immunized since we now know that several vaccines last for several years. This way your pet can avoid being over vaccinated. I called all around town and one by one vet clinics simply told me "no". Or "what is that?". Dr. WHITEHURST made a note, called the lab they used, and is now giving me the option to do titers on my pets. Thank you dr. Whitehurst.
