First off been coming here for about 20 years. The prices are extremely good, especially when on sale. Today I purchased a boy shorts and a Tee shirt size 14 for $11, now how can you beat that. My girlfriend also got a cute outfit for a niece size 8 and some cute sunglasses. We were both happy with our selection. Lots to choose from especially for young children and babies. After a long day of work, I decided that I would end the day by checking out the Pismo Beach Outlet's. Being that my 5 year old is rapidly outgrowing his clothing, I figured that I could score some great deals at Carter's. When I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted by an employee by the name of Aly. I informed Aly that I was looking for clothing for a 5 year old, and she pointed me to the appropriate section. I'm used to walking into outlet stores that look like they've been hit by a typhoon. However, this particular store was well organized. As I mentioned before, my son is growing really fast and pretty tall for his age. Therefore, I was a bit indecisive when it came to selecting clothes that would fit, but still give him some extra space to grow into. Aly not only pointed me to a collection of fashionable (keyword)pants that had an adjustable waistband, but she also suggested an appropriate size based on his height. Less than ten minutes later, I had selected a couple of items and was at the register ready to be rung up. To my delight, the items I selected were 40% off the tagged price (apparently I was so excited when I walked in that I failed to notice the huge 30%-50% off sale sign). To make matters even better, I realized that I had a coupon for an additional 20% off (Carter's occasionally emails these coupons when you make a purchase)! Carter's Babies & Kids - Children's Clothing Near Me - Pismo Beach, California

Today was my first visit to this Carter's. I was not greeted and when I asked a question about where to find items, I felt the clerk was unenthusiastic to help. I did hear other customer get greeted so perhaps I just didn't get noticed. The main disappointment about this store was that the size selection was pretty limited. I barely found one swim set in my size for baby boy. I also noticed that the clearance section prices were fairly steep compared to what I can get on the Carters website. If you have access to the Santa Maria Carter's store, I would recommend going there for best selection of sizes. Otherwise, this is an okay stop if you're in a pinch but don't expect to find amazing deals. read more

The employees do not offer any assistance here and I was shocked that they do not welcome people who walk into the store. It was a Saturday afternoon and the store wasn't busy. They had door busters going on and really good deals. I loved the cute clothes for my nephew and my sister was finding a ton of stuff she wanted for him but we needed help with sizes. Nobody was around to help but another customer offered us help and even walked us over to show us where to find certain things. When we went to check out our coupons did not work because the door busters are not able to be used with a coupon. The coupons did not say that and I've never had that problem at other locations. Overall it was a good shopping trip but employees need to be friendly. read more

Carter's Babies & Kids - Children's Clothing Near Me - Pismo Beach, California

I just returned products at the Pismo Location (00772). I purchased them at the Osh Kosh in the same plaza but it has closed down. I returned them as they are the incorrect colors for my son's school, they need a lighter color. As I approached the counter employee (Erika) was very short with me and rude. She has horrible customer service. She asked in a rude way for my information, I gave her my phone # multiple times and email and she wasn't understanding me and was unable to find my account. She asked multiple times if that was the correct info and made it seem like I'd be hiding the information. I asked if they carried the same products in a different color and She snapped with a "NO". I asked what was the closest store and she sighed with Santa Maria. After her not being able to assist and find my account, I asked if she was having a bad day cause she was not providing a good customer service... she rolled her eyes and suggested we return the items with store credit and have to purchase the same day even though the store didn't have what we were looking for. Store credit would've been fine but having to use it before we left didn't seem like the best solution to the situation or a real policy. Erika provided no assistance at all. After her unhelpful behavior I asked for the manager and it turns out she was the Manager, which is horrifying to say the least, that someone with such bad customer service be managing (says someone that has been managing for over 10 years). I then asked if there was any way to look up the account she snapped again and said "No" and suggested we again go to Santa Maria. Before leaving I mentioned there has to be a way to look up my account, it can't just disappear and asked if she could use the card we used to look up the transaction and finally.. I after having to help the Manager do her job got my return. I have been buying from carters and Oshkosh the last 6 years and sadly will not return as a result of such horrible customer service! read more

Rude associates that do not want to honor the prices with signs clearly stated. She proceeds to tell me they were old signs I explained to her that it's not really fair for customer to see that sign and her not honor it. She proceeds to discount some not all of the items while she is huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes the entire time. I do not to be treated like I'm bothering her I can just take my business elsewhere. read more

I went into Carter to buy some clothes for my premie twin rice and nephew and the blondish girl I think her name was Carly was really helpful in finding me all different types of clothes for both babies. I ended buying more than I expected but was very satisfied in my purchase and the mother of the babies was too. I don't have children but I really enjoyed shopping for my niece and nephew when I came into this Carters. Thanks so much to the team and to Carly for helping me so much. read more

They have good prices on their toddler clothing and the staff was helpful, I only wish that they had more of a variety of styles for the 'big kids' sizes above toddler. read more
