I love anything Cartier. As I always say; "screw a blue box...It's all about the red box with the gold trim!" I took my Cartier Tank watch in to have the battery replaced which they charge a $55 fee to perform this service. Lord! I miss Gemtime in Phoenix, they charged $5 to replace the battery in my Cartier watches. Not to mention they always polished and inspected the gears to boot as a Courtesy to their customers. Two days after dropping off my Tank for a battery replacement I get an email from The service department at Cartier informing me that one the gears require a $680 fix. I informed the service department I just wanted to replace the battery, the service department director (The gentleman who sits behind a fancy desk and makes you feel like you have no business being inside such a high-end store) told me that replacing the battery would not make the watch work. Funny enough I took the watch to a regular watch repair shop and they replaced the battery and it works great! Hmmmm...could Cartier be running a scam? read more

WORST service ever!!! My husband bought me a love bracelet for Christmas and I thought it was a bit loose on me. So we went back the day after to try on a smaller size. I was greeted by the security guard but no one else bothered to help us. There's just us and 2 other guests were in there. After 15 minutes wandering the entire store, my husband had to get one of the SA to help us. She didn't seem happy at all. My husband was there the day before Christmas and he was treated the same way too. It was busy that day but he had a security guard next too him the whole time he was waiting for one of the SA to help him. They are racial profiling you once you walk into the store. If you don't look like one of the Kardashian's, don't expect a good service from them. Even my local Walgreens can provide better customer service. I actually was looking for a matching love ring to go with the bracelet but they made me so upset that I rather take my money somewhere else. read more

All I can tell you is if you would like first class service, ask for Michael! He truly gives you the full experience that you would expect from Cartier. He has a wonderfully personality and is extremely patient. Michael is very knowledgeable and never makes you feel rushed. He helped me happily for almost two hours, and I was only exchanging. Had a terrible experience. Ordered a wedding band online and it didn't fit so came into the store to exchange sizes. Walked in and saw several people seated and was told their was a line. I asked who I was behind and the security guy told me. Everyone gets serviced and as it's about to be my turn this lady walks in and cuts the line, the body guard says there's nothing he can do about it and John the rep that was supposed to help me said sorry she's a really good client of mine and asked us to wait. Shocking, appalling, unprofessional and utterly discriminatory. If we are shopping at Cartier we all have money, no need for that kind of attitude. Michael was the ONLY rep in the store that took the time to help me and was apologetic and super nice. This store is a joke, and it's gotten even worse since they moved to River Oaks District. I came here with my husband because he was interested in purchasing one of their lighters, and I needed to get sized for a Love bracelet. We were greeted by a guard at the front of the store, but we received no acknowledgement from any sales staff. This has happened on multiple occasions, so I think it's a sign that I need to give up and spend my money elsewhere. Thankfully, there are Cartier boutiques all over the U.S., so I can call another store to order what I want, and just arrange to have it shipped to me. My wife and I brought her 18k gold tank solo to be repaired as the the battery leaked into the watch. We did not purchase the watch at this store but did purchase it through an authorized Cartier dealer. I was a little nervous about what the cost would be as I thought the first estimate from the original point of purchase seemed high$$. We worked with John and he was everything you would expect from a high class store such as Cartier. To my astonishment the estimate was quite a bit lower than our first one. John was very comforting and very knowledgeable about how the watch worked which put me at ease. My wife and I felt very comfortable leaving the watch. The following communication during the next 4 weeks was paramount. We picked up the watch and it looked brand new. My wife picked out a new red alligator strap to go with it and again I couldn't believe John's patience. So what started off as a terrible experience ended up happily ever after. The Director was very rude on the phone. I called about my watch being serviced. The Cartier "service" on your watch is $500. I am happy to pay, but really just wanted someone at Cartier to also listen to my concerns around the functioning of my watch since I purchased it. The Director just wanted me to confirm my payment, couldn't care less about what I had to say. The Director kept reiterating what was already told to me, without really listening to me, whatsoever. For luxury sales, the listening skills are lacking. I will never make a purchase from the Houston store. They are happy to sell, but the follow-up is absolutely unacceptable. Go to a Saks to purchase your Cartier items, the Houston Cartier boutique is an abomination to the Cartier brand. read more

What a disappointment! I went in to replace a lost back to my Cartier Diamond Studs. It took me 4 visits to the store. I had to send in my earrings with the one back I had left. I also had to request (demand) that I get my original back as a backup. When all was said and done they did not return my back and I would not purchase the new ones $400! till mine came back also. They sent one and it did not lock or work! Wish I would have simply taken to a custom jeweler and had new ones made. I wanted to keep the integrity to my earrings! Called and spoke to customer service about my disappointment and didn't even receive a phone call in return. I was so excited to be getting the love bracelet that i wanted for Christmas this year and would not even let my husband purchase! I am not reviewing the service here (although I thought they were snooty). I am reviewing the quality of my Cartier watch. I have owned my watch for about 8 yrs now and have had my battery changed 4 times. Every other time I take it in for a simple battery change, they tell me that my watch needs a complete movement repair which costs over $500 each time (and I had to do this twice!!). When I spoke to their rep, they said this is normal wear and tear and I am starting to distrust what they are telling me. Why would I pay over $7000 for a watch that I would have to keep repairing every other battery change??? Either they are not being honest, or the quality of the watch itself or the workmanship is faulty. I wish that I had not gotten this brand. I don't even wear this watch that much. My closest boutique is actually on Worth Ave, in Palm Beach, FL. I am visiting my parents in Houston and I came in to have my watch repaired. Usually, sales associates do not want to deal with non-sales related issue. This is a service issue and Mr Parker guided me through the process, mentioned that he can ship it to me when the watch is fixed. I was in a hurry so I asked a series of questions and he managed to juggle all my questions, helped me "edit" my list of things I needed (I have very special milestone presents I needed to send for the next few months). He showed me ultimately THE BEST gift idea that just came in...which I will be calling him in a month to get it for myself and as a gift.) I'm so appreciative of him taking charge and handled everything for me. Writing the card, packing it, shipping it, emailed me to confirm... I can shop at any boutique, but since Mr Parker was on top of it, I'll be calling him to get what I need. I am a long time Cartier client. I have picked up special pieces from Paris every year, NYC, Miami, Palm Beach, Boston...it was just nice to have someone who is a quick thinker, who has very nice pieces himself (believe in the pieces) and gives great recommendation. He was very selective and made strong choices for me and I love it. Thank you for your service. Gorgeous boutique, by the way! You guys should visit the new location. Ask for Damon Parker. I visited houston in october of 2016 and i must say the city and its shops are beautiful! I stopped by the Cartier in houston knowing exactly what i wanted a love ring! I entered the store with my aunt and grandmother and was immediately helped by a women she showed us to the love collection and was very kind after a minute or two Kerry Seeto my sales associate came and greated me & my family and continued to show us the love collection. I tried on many rings she was so kind and even gave me advice about what color of gold would look beautiful on my skin type and what rings would look good stacked I really needed that help because i am very indecisive. She offered me and my family refreshments but was rudely interrupted by my uncle! I could have stayed in the store for hour's looking and the love necklaces and the Juste un clou. This store was gorgeous the staff were beautiful and very professional! They even sent me a New Years gift TODAY three beautiful books of cariter jewelry & fashion... my father now wants a watch. I was contacted by an employee of Cartier shortly after posting my original review. The lady I spoke with was very kind and wanted for me to share my experience with her, which I appreciated. I explained the situation and my disappointment with the service I had previously received. She informed me that I should have never been told there would be a charge for the repairs needed. She also said that they would contact me either that Friday or the next Monday, which is when my bracelet was to arrive and that they would actually send my bracelet to me. Took my watch in for minor repairs several months ago--extremely slow service. When I called to check on the watch, the service/repairs line would never answer. Only the sales line ever seems to answer the phone!!! And I have experienced this several times! Finally when my watch was said to be ready, it was horribly scratched on the back, and the alligator band looked ruined. Of course the store denies they damaged the watch but either they caused the damage or their agent repairing the watch did it. This store is horrible for any jewelry store and especially for one claiming to be top of the line. read more

I wrote a review about the very poor service I received when trying to get my pen repaired. While I got NO satisfaction from the store in Houston I was contacted by management from New York. They investigated my concerns and I got a call back from them about two weeks ago. I was told that the manager of the Cartier Houston store would be calling me to make arrangements to replace my writing instrument. Two weeks have now gone by and I have yet to hear from the manager of the Houston store. The level of arrogance and poor customer service at this location can simply not be described. If this is rhe best Cartier has to offer then count me out. There is no point in doing business with people who have no desire to respond to customers. What a horrible place and what a horrible example the manager of this store sets for its employees. Essentially customers don't matter!! read more

In the 30 years that I have been a customer of Cartier, I have never had the bad service that I received today. I walked into the store at 4:45 with 3 watches that needed servicing. There was a nicely dressed man, sitting at a desk, helping a young couple. Besides them and the two security guards, there was no one else in the store. After I stood awkwardly in the middle of the store , hoping someone would appear or that I would be acknowledged by the man, I proceeded to sit on a chaise lounge in the middle of the store, to wait. After 10 minutes or so (with nothing being said to me) I asked the man if anyone else could help me. He said they were busy. That was it! I sat there for another 15 minutes until he was finished with his customers. So here I am, 30 minutes in this beautiful store, being totally ignored and treated as an inconvenience. When he finally said "and what may I do for you?" I asked him to please go find somebody else to help me. Magically, a nice young woman appeared from the back to help me. It was such a display of bad manners and completely unprofessional by this employee. read more

I never write reviews, but I just needed to let everyone know about Jim Gray at Cartier. My husband walked in there over the holidays (albeit a little nervous) to look for a gift for me. The first SA to greet him was Jim who just happened to be our amazing wedding coordinator from the Houstonian Hotel over 5 years ago. True to form, Jim has been spectacular in every area. When the purchase that my husband made did not fit, Jim was so kind to bring out different sizes and other options even though it was just an "exchange". He goes above and beyond the expected service by initiating Cartier forms to help have our purchase appropriately insured. When I was unsure about what I wanted engraved on our purchase, he told us to come back anytime to have that done when ready. I still haven't done it yet, but every once in a while we get reminders that he is always ready to help us when we are ready - which makes me feel so much more comfortable about going in later. Jim is truly the kindest, most helpful SA you will ever meet. Service provided by him is impeccable. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a purchase at Cartier - whether big or small, Jim will treat you like family. read more

I rarely write reviews, but feel compelled to share the experience I had at the new Cartier store in Houston. The process of selecting gifts for my clients is always a chore, primarily because I want to impress them but have to select gifts that are appropriate. When I walked into Cartier, I was promptly greeted by Jim Gray. He was gracious, helpful and professional. He appears to be a real master of his profession. He guided me through the selection process and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find the right gifts- NOT the most expensive, but items I would be happy with. When it came to presentation of these gifts, I cannot express how much thought Jim put into this. He meticulously wrapped and packaged my gifts; my clients were so impressed with the packaging and it really made the gift more special. Jim followed up with me to see how my clients liked the gifts, he sent a greeting card and personally called me to ensure everything went smoothly. I also felt extremely comfortable with providing Jim's contact information to my clients in the event they wanted to exchange the items. I knew they would be in good hands, and Jim would provide them with exceptional service.
