After only a few years of wear, the ring needed repairs and refurbishment. I brought the ring into the store, expecting quality service that would reflect the premium price I paid. Instead, I was hit with an outrageous repair estimate of $750.00--almost half the price of what I originally paid for the piece. This is simply absurd. Went here yesterday to get my jewelry cleaned. they have few other locations but there is only one houston location in galleria. i wanted to make sure everything is set so i made an appointment on their website. booking it was easy which i really liked. the store itself is as expected. the customer service is top notch. they confirmed my appointment over the phone. when i walked in, grace welcomed me and was friendly - she got me in right away. it took about 5-10min and she was professional. we walked around to look at the jewelry and everything went well. they def have lots of beautiful pieces so i recommend checking this brand out! honestly you cant go wrong with yurman. read more

The first time I visited, I had a mediocre experience as the sales associate didn't seem very interested in helping - just going through the motions. I ended up not purchasing partially because she was borderline passive aggressive and didn't sell me on the jewelry. During my visit today, I was helped by Naty, who was phenomenal. Had the worst experience here out of all the jewelery stores in the galleria area. The older sales lady was extremely rude. When asked to look at some items she pointed us to a corner of the store. She hardly spoke to us and made it clear she did not want to sell anything to us. Friends of mine had their ring cleaned while we were there and she barely cleaned it. Excellent store! I came here in search of a new cable bracelet and Jeremy helped me out. He was super patient and showed me different styles. The employees are friendly and not pushy at all. I tried on about 8 different bracelets and loved them all! I highly recommend this store if you're in the market for high end jewelry. I'm a girl (don't let the name and the short hair fool you). And I love jewelery. I mean, a disturbing amount. Especially expensive jewelry. Unfortunately, liberal arts degrees don't always reward you with the best paying jobs, so looking at nice jewelry has become my new hobby. And a great place to do this is at the David Yurman boutique in the Galleria. There are only a few in the US, so it is nice to see that we're so spoiled here. Their store is a decent size with many pieces in the windows well lit up for you to drool all over. When you go in, there's even more. His signature pieces (the chunky squares of stones on a thick sterling rope) are everywhere. He is trying to build up his watch collection, but the there are only a few watches available in the store. The greatest improvement to his line has been having his son design a men's line. Although many of the pieces are a little too European (ummm, effeminate?) for most men, they do have some key pieces that are making this line really popular. The lack of a star is due to how ridiculous they were about fixing some earrings I brought in. One of them clasped too tightly on my ear making them virtually unwearable. I took them to the store, they had to send it to headquarters to get them fixed and after a few weeks (and $75 later), they came back. I didn't try them on at that moment since I was running late. Lo and behold, all they seemed to have done was clean them since one is still much too tight. Regardless of this, I love that they're expanding their line and are trying to stay mainstream--especially with the younger generation. Be aware though that customer service is great once you get help, but it is usually so busy in there that you'll have a wait until someone can help you. read more

I love David Yurman jewelry! I can definitely attest to the quality of their silver pieces, I wear my bracelets and rings every single day without fail, and they go through A LOT of abuse. They need cleaning and polishing every now and then, but I've never chipped a stone or lost a diamond. I usually do not like shopping at boutiques due to poor service and snooty salespeople, but everyone here is actually very helpful. The salespeople here respect your budget and won't make you feel bad for not having the money to splurge on that $10K gold bracelet. They have a lot more inventory than Neiman Marcus does, and even some limited edition pieces that are exclusive to the boutiques. They are going to be remodeling soon, so I expect that the new store will look even swankier! read more

I came into this store the other day with 2 very old gift cards my grandmother had bought for me for a graduation gift from college. One of the gift cards did not work and showed no money on it. Renzo, the salesman who helped me, went above and beyond in trying to research what happened to the card. He found the transaction made awhile back but could not tie it to the card, he then offered to send it to corporate for further investigation, and in the meantime, helped me pick out a new cable bracelet for when the gift card situation got figured out. He told me he would get back to me today and promptly called as soon as corporate found the problem and the money was restored onto my gift card. I am very excited to go pick up my new bracelet tomorrow and very pleased with the excellent service I received! I had to drop off a ring for a repair and it took forever for anyone to help and I'm fine with waiting but I'm not fine with others who come in after me getting helped first. I wish i could give them a zero star even the one star is too much for this cheap quality chain. My wife bought me this chain almost 9 month ago(Small Box Chain Necklace, 2.7mm silver) its already faded and has dark spots on it here and there, when she took it to the store they asked her many questions such as Did he wear it in the swimming pool, does he take it off while he takes showers, after all they said it his sweat might have caused this. it's hilarious i had another silver chian before but i never had any issues like this. Long story short they tried to clean it but the dark spots are still visible. They told my wife another option would be to send off for professional cleaning and it will takes 3 to 4 weeks and costs $85. I am extremely disappointed. read more

This store is a lovely venue to peruse the house of Yurman's work. I have always enjoyed coming in and having a look. I am, by no stretch of the imagination, a person who can just trot in and buy whatever catches my fancy, but I am a person who loves and appreciates jewelry. I like to look and talk about it with people who are as enthusiastic as I am. The Yurman folks are always welcoming and happy to chat about a piece and let me pet it for a little while. I had a DY watch and the clasp broke and the watch mechanism was damaged. I took it in for repairs and it was sent out for several months. When I received it back the clasp was still broken. When I took it back again, Jonathan was very helpful and got the Corporate office to replace the watch with a brand new one even though mine was several years old! I was very pleased. read more

One of two gold balls had fallen off a cable bracelet and I took it in to be repaired. It was just a couple of months old, so I assumed there would be no problem. They made a big deal about looking it up to make sure it was under warranty (it took about 15 minutes), and the manager finally said that they would repair it at no charge but that it would have to be sent off. Four weeks later, after calling several times to check on it, they said it was finally back. When I went in to pick it up they haded me a bill for $220. I asked to speak to the manager and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about when I reminded him of the warranty. Fortunately I had my receipt, which listed a no charge due to warranty. He grudgingly agreed and I left with the bracelet. Fast forward 2 years. The same gold ball fell off again, but this time I took it to Neiman Marcus for repair. The sales assistant looked at it and said, "I'll just give you a new one", which she did. No muss, no fuss, and in 5 minutes I was out of there. Also, I saw another review for this store regarding loosening an earring back - I had to have this done to a pair of my earrings, took them to Neiman's and the sales associate loosened it on the spot -no charge. I will NEVER do any business with the Galleria Yurman store again. read more

First off I love David Yurman jewelry. The cable design is just beautiful and I've been lucky to be able to purchase a few pieces over the years. I recently went in to have a DY ring sized. One of the sales ladies greeted us when we walked in and asked if we needed help. I asked her if I could try on the same style of ring I needed sized. However once she realized I wanted to try it on for sizing and not to buy her friendly tone changed immediately. I asked if I could try on a couple of different sizes to make sure I size it right but she was very short with me and said they didn't have it. She started filling out the repair ticket but barely filled out the slip with information. She didn't put what style ring I was having sent off or the size. I had to ask her to fill in more details. I just don't want it getting lost in the mix of all the jewelry. There was no explanation on how long the repair would take or the cost without me asking. I also asked about one of large cable bracelets I own but she apparently didn't want to deal with us so she just said you will need to bring in for us to look at. You could tell that she didn't want to waste her time helping us since we weren't in there to buy. It's sales people like these that give luxury stores a bad rep. read more
