I had the pleasure 50 years ago to utilize the Cartridge Factory for my architectural thesis at The University of Cincinnati, "Revitalization Thru Preservation", Revitalizing the Cartridge Factory for new uses. I had the pleasure to stay in the renovated spaces for multiple times and the accommodations are a very rewarding for me to enjoy the year long project in 1975 that actually came to fruition for many uses not to mention the good brews (Verdant) and the Turkey Club and the stays at the the renovated spaces for living. Service was terrible...I could tell they were short handed but the couple waitresses that were working the floor walked by us over and over and never asked if ok, needed refill etc. I finally had to ask a girl for our bill. We wait 20 minutes after being seated and some lady took our order...never seen her again. Thank gosh the food runner girl brought us our food. This brewery is nothing short of amazing as it is brand new but still very very old at the same time making for a really cool atmosphere! So I've been here before long before this became a brewery to checkout what this amazing looking building was as I was fascinated by the architectural design of it as it's beautiful back then I would have never thought that it would be what it is today! So upon arrival we were seated quickly and given a menu of all that's totally good me being a beer girl I was all for getting a flight of a few different brews all of them in my flight were yummy each unique to the next one with my favorite being the piña colada one as it was just super flavorful! Of the many choices I went with the bacon beer cheeseburger it was totally scrumptious with that pretzel bun and the bacon that was cooked perfectly with that amazing beer cheese it totally hit the spot! For my side I went with Mac and cheese as you can't ever go wrong there it was cheesey and just perfectly yummy the way I like it. For dessert we totally had to get a cream brûlée as that's always one of my favorites it had that sugar layer with that custard on the bottom making for what was totally good from start to finish! Overall this was an awesome experience at a place that I'm totally stoked to see what has become of an old abandoned cartridge factory this brewery is putting out quality yummy brews and some delicious food I so know for that and the awesome atmosphere that I will totally be back here again after a long day at Kings Island! read more

Really great location/cool atmosphere, the absolute RUDEST service possible (and they weren't busy, a total of 3 bar patrons and two seated tables). The pizza was good, real Detroit style. The pork was disgusting, like rancid disgusting, may have been tasty 4 days earlier. The bartender popped off with attitude when I politely waved after standing at the bar for 10 minutes to order while they repeatedly walked past and stood looking around. I could not find anyone to request hot sauce or salt/pepper or locate it myself. For context, I've been in the business over twenty years as a chef and restauranteur with huge success and know when a place is being run extremely poorly. If you're a personal friend that may actually get service and want only pizza and a neat location, this place will be enjoyable. Otherwise avoid, until better management and staff is in place at least. read more

Wow what a surprise! Just 5 minutes from kings island... But you wouldn't know! It's hidden away in an isolated valley! The historic cartridge factory has been beautifully restored. And the highlight is cartridge! Every single beer was good. The food was phenomenal. It bar food but clearly high quality and made in house! I had the beer cheese burger with fries and they gave me the option to add beer cheese to the fries so... Duh! Cheese please! The Brussels sprouts were the best I've had and the whole table agreed because the portion was large enough to share! I tried 8 beers... in two flights... The highlights were fuse cherry ale, buckshot peanut butter cup stout, escape pineapple wheat and saucy brew works, love you bye was another fave of the evening. Service is an interesting concept, scan the qr code, order and they bring the food to you. You can refill water at water stations but your kind of in control... It's on demand service. read more

Came on Labor Day weekend and had a moderate wait, about 30mins. Luckily the sun was still out so we grabbed a beer and a bench outside and waited. Even the outdoor seating is assigned so be sure to check in with the host. I like dark beers but there were only 1-2 that caught my eye, plus a Mexican lime beer that I really enjoyed. Menu looked great but they were out of about half of the items that day. The server was very apologetic and we felt bad since I'm sure it was a rough weekend on their end. I got a salad and fries, fries were perfectly crispy! Loaded fries were also great. There was a mix up with our orders so we ended up getting another tables wings and didn't get to try the sauces we wanted. I would come back and give the food another try. read more

Quite possibly the worst meal I've ever had in my life. Only to be topped by the service which was dreadful. Server let us sit there for 15 minutes before acknowledging us or to get the drink / meal order. We live less than a mile from the restaurant and we are zero for five with crappy experiences there. First time going and was looking forward to it. it was loud. the beer was good and service was decent. We had the nati-nachos and chips were good but the beer cheese on the bottom of the bowl was eh. i unfortunately pulled out a big piece of pork fat so that was a bummer. we had the blackened shrimp tacos which the seasoning was not tasty. the Rhinos-no burger was fine but not a fan of the fries. my assessment would be that I probably would not go back to eat but possibly a beer. read more

We were lucky enough to get tickets to their opening weekend! For being opening weekend in a Covid environment, Cartridge did a fine job! When we arrived we showed our tickets then were escorted to our table. There the waitress made sure to stay attentive to our table and quickly take orders for food and drink. We tried their soft pretzels and beer cheese for an afternoon snack - very good! We each tried different beers the Sabot IPA, Hallow Point Hibiscus Ale, and Grenade Norwegian Ale. My personal favorite was the Hallow Point. Next we tried cocktails because YES! this is a brewery with wine and alcohol. We had the GMP Old Fashioned and Hairpin Turn. Both were fantastic! We loved the layout, decor, food, and drinks during our visit and can't wait to make this a regular to our area favorites! Separate note, they're located directly off the bike trail making it a great stopping point when you're on a fun ride! read more

My family and I stayed at the Lofts and needed a bite to eat and since the Brewery was in the same complex we decided to give it a go despite all the harsh and now that I know, completely unfair reviews! The service again, outstanding! Our waiter was Brady who was so nice and super knowledgeable about the menu, gave great suggestions and made the BEST drinks! I ordered the Fish n Chips w/ loaded fries which were outstanding and them Brussels!! Baby "dem" Brussels will bless your entire LIFE! I'm going back on this day just for those! A really fun spot, we returned after stopping for a beer a week earlier and ate on the patio with our dog during burger week. The burgers were good, the patio however needs some attention. During the nice weather outdoor dining is always a priority for dog owners and there are plenty of good spots allowing you to hang with fido or the kids. The outdoor tables at this spot aren't very nice and the whole patio needed a good sweeping or hosed off. Quite a bit of poison ivy at the wooded edge as well. Im a picky eater. I dont do much meat and there really wasnt anything on the menu that sounded intriguing. We had walked on the bike trail and i wanted a bathroom. So we were going to eat here because it was so close and frankly i needed to use their bathroom. When I came out hubby had sat at a table but he said no one had been by to offer the menu or get drink order. He looked the menu up online and said wasn't anything I'd like .... so we left. It was too early to drink beer unless on vacation at a all inclusive lol. read more

Our group had appetizers (cheese curds, pretzel sticks, pickle chips) and mains: Caesar salad with salmon, Mexican salad, pulled pork tacos, fish and chips, cheese pizza and a cheeseburger. We were all pleased with our food. The only negative would be we were "meh" on the fries. If you don't like spicy don't get the suggested siracha ranch on the Mexican salad. It's good, but very spicy. We tried several unique beers as well. Recommend! read more

I went with my brothers and a buddy for "Linner". Their fresh baked pretzels appetizer are to die for. Doughy, salty but not too salty, with a hint of garlic. I could've eaten four rounds of those and then passed out from a carbohydrate coma. I also got a flight of their beers, all of which were on point; my favorite being the Matrix Märzen. Finally, I got the The Rhy-no burger, which I'd absolutely get again. Our server was awesome, friendly and attentive. Only thing I'd change, would be to substitute the seasoned fries for another side. The restaurant atmosphere was the best part, this review is already wordy so just look the pictures. Went for Monday BOGO pizza night. We were informed after we were seated that the pizza oven was once again broken. (My son in law had been there about three weeks ago on a Monday and was told the same thing.) We asked if they were offering anything else to replace the pizza deal ~ maybe a BOGO burger, but we were told they weren't doing that. We stayed, dined, had good service and good food, just disappointed that this has now happened twice in a month. Recently returned to Cartridge for a follow up visit. It was not nearly as good as the first time. I was so underwhelmed at this point that it will be difficult to return. First, unfortunately most beers on tap were either IPAs or blondes. No where insight did they have any porter or stouts. So when in Rome....the beers tasted watered down and in general, were low quality. No where near the caliber of Sonders or other Breweries nearby. I suffered through a couple full glasses and then a flight. Looking back, I should have stuck with water or a Coke. The food.....I've had better food from a truck. Our group tried lots of various items from the menu. By the time the pretzels and cheese made it out to the table, it was by no means warm. The mac and cheese was creamy and warm, however very bland and tasteless. Ive had better box Mac and cheese. The Cuban pizza was also bland....the strongest flavor on it was the mustard, all the other ingredients faded in the background to that condiment. It was bad enough that I took the leftovers home and when considering eating it again, threw it away. The pulled pork on it had no seasoning and was useless. The burger was just ok, but considering the rest of the food, probably what I should have ordered so I might somewhat enjoy the food. Out of everything we ordered I would give the sweat potato fries the highest rating (6/10). I enjoy local craft places, but I was left feeling so underwhelmed and my general thought was it was a waste of time and money. Hopefully this changes, but at this point I doubt they are willing to make such a huge overhaul to fix the place. This place is really only good for the history and the size rooms to accommodate a big group. If everyone was truly honest and not intoxicated by having a brewery nearby, I'm certain the ratings would be much lower. so I don't know this for a fact but there is a blonde lady there who I believe is a manager and she seems to be very mean to her employees I was there this weekend and maybe it was just this weekend but I saw her yelling at a bunch of her employees and I think they should consider replacing her because she's making the employees more stressed then they need to be but besides that my service was awesome read more

A unique place, old factory transformed with restaurant and apartments next to the bike and walking trail. The beer I had was the Fuse Mango Blonde Ale. A bit tart but good and refreshing. The Charcuterie Board enough for one but not for two even though we shared it. At 15.00 it could have been bigger. It was very good especially the kimchi. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi stir fry and the waitress warned it could be salty and she was right. I guess others have mentioned this as well. Aside from the salt, the dish was very good with lots of beef and vegetables and also pricy at 20.00. My husband got the Korean fried chicken sandwich. A big sandwich piping hot, 17.00. Such a cool industrial spot! They are definitely still ramping up regarding staffing and ordering, but once they brew enough beer to meet the demand they will be an awesome go-to brewery! We came on July 4th weekend for lunch and we're quoted a 40 min wait and it took maybe 10 min to get a table. Kind of annoying, but not an issue as we were happy to have a beer while we waited. You can get flights only while seated to cut back on broken glasses I guess, but having a flight while waiting for a table seems ideal to me. Can recommend the pretzels and beer cheese and all pizzas/sandwiches/salads we tried were delicious. The location off the bike trail is awesome, there were only a couple outdoor tables, but they are shaded. We had an amazing experience here yesterday. They were super busy but the staff was kind and paid attention to ours and all guests needs. The flight was good as always as was all our drinks. They had a leftover mixed drink that was melting and one of the employees offered it to us free of charge. Very thoughtful. We got the cheese fries and as always they were amazing as well as the deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were good but I'd have preferred the most classic approach as the vinegar was a tad strong. While the beer is AMAZING, the food is mediocre at best. The baked beans tasted like they were dumped from a can of generic beans. There were no onions and peppers and no flavor. For a $6 side I'd never recommend. The rest of the food was okay, but WAY over priced. The $15 pepperoni pizza had 6 small square slices. You can get it made with the cheese under the sauce which was much better than on top The $8 kids meal came with 3 burnt chicken tenders, and the $15 burger, well let's just say you'd be better off running up the road to outback for a burger and stopping here on the way home.
