I have used Cartridge World for ages, but in recent years use a lot fewer cartridges thanks to e-mail and PDFs. This is thus my first visit to this location, having moved to Maine from Indianapolis in 2015. I had two spent cartridges to recycle and had hoped like in Indianapolis I'd get a credit toward new when I need them. I found this shop to be between unfriendly and just plain rude. I had to ask if they did the credit thing (they do but I had to ask it was not volunteered) and then I was told that unlike my old Indiana shop it was valid ONLY if I bought new cartridges right then. In Indiana they'd give me the credit slip and when I did need one as long as it was within 6 months or less, they honoured that. This guy looked as though I was speaking some foreign language when I asked and he informed that if I wanted my credit I'd have to take the two used toners home, store them until I did need new and bring them back. I said for $6 and the fact its over 10 miles to get there I was just not doing it and left them losing out on my $6 x 2 or $12. I have used Cartridge World for ages as I have owned a business since 1978 and computers since 1989 but this was the first so-so (ie: rude) experience which is sad as it's the only one in this area! They can and should do better! read more

This place is amazing! There need to be more stores like this in the world. Printers are dang confusing, and not only do they stock pretty much everything under the sun, but their knowledge about printers and cartridges are invaluable to getting you the right thing and saving you money. They also have a small selection of new (and maybe used, too?) printers. read more

When you purchase a cartridge there you better get your receipt signed because they won't stand behind what they tell you, at least for a core charge they refuse to give it back to you read more
