Called into this place around 1:30ish to get a quote and see if I could get my truck windows tinted. Was given a price and was told to be there before 6, what a joke. I'm here and am now being told they are doing the last tint for the day, it's 4 o'clock. Didn't even say, you can come back in the morning or whatever. Called morning of to see about getting windows tinted. Drove the car over and got a spot immediately. Picked the car up about 4 hours later. Can't roll our windows down for three days, which is fine. Set an appointment to have my tail light tented from one guy just for a older guy to tell me it's to late for them to do it but I made it on time when they told me to be there. Then he tells me the weather is to cold to smoke out my tail light..the original guy that set my appointment for a week later so I check the weather and it's going to be colder than it was today. The older guy didn't want to do any work and wanted to close early despite me having appointment and basically bullshitted me and had me leave work early just to waste my time I do not recommend this location the Customer service is the worst. New to the area Cartronix was recommended and easily found on Google. I spoke to Rafael who was expecting my arrival as I was running late towards their closing time. He was patient and listen to my issue and took his time to resolve the problem, he went above and beyond what I expected using his spare electronics parts to supplement what my equipment was lacking. He and his team Alvin were kind and friendly and really took their time working on my car. These guys messed up my tint and wanted me to wait a week to let it cure, as if the wrinkles were going to fix themselves. I took my band new car back a week later to have it fixed, and they messed the tint up even more. They also scratched up my interior and filled my car seats up with tins of soap. Went back and they fought a little about the remote, but gave me one and fixed the sound to the best they could. They told me about fix regulations, so sounds legit. I don't know how anyone complains about this place. I have been going to Cartronix for a few years now and have always had excellent service and straight forward pricing for the work I was requesting. I haven't found better prices anywhere else in the Houston area and the guys at the shop are very pleasant and make every attempt to explain the work being done. I now have several of my family members going there regularly, as they feel the same as I do. If you ever visit them you'll notice a vast array of expensive cars getting aftermarket items placed on them or having work done. None of our cars are cheap either. People with expensive cars don't take shortcuts with them, so they use Cartronix. I just recently had a radio placed into my '04 Acura TL and the finished product was amazing. I also had a rear camera installed and hooked to the head unit as well. If you ever have an issue with something they've installed they take care of it and from my experience it's always been free of charge. Don't take my word for it, stop over and see for yourselves. I had them hook up my subwoofer in the back cargo area of my car and they did a fanfreakintastic job!!! It sounds KICKASS (probably cuz it's a kicker ). As far as cost goes, for any electronic stuff you want done, I suggest buying all your wiring gear and parts from other places or on Amazon and then just taking everything to them and saying please install this (that's what I did, and the whole operation of buying everything and having it all hooked up was a hell of a lot cheaper than it coulda been). Whenever you go in, ask for Daniel. Really nice guy. As for the length of time it takes them to install, they may take a few hours but it is worth every minute of waiting. While I was waiting I struck up a conversation with another gentleman who said he'd been going there for almost 10 years for all his car electronic needs!! Worst service on Hwy 6..took my truck in to get and small $65 air sensor replaced and after an hour and 50 minutes he finally admitted he couldn't finish the job in time, wasting the second half of my day and not resolving my problem. Got off work early and when I arrived to have alarm installed was told by Oscar (same person who confirmed appointment) that they were too busy and I had to come back another day.
