I only heard of Local Motors when they were liquidating their assets in a local auction. I went onsite to view the items listed for auction, because they had a lot of reaaaally cool stuff. I can only give this business 2 stars based on what I saw at the cool facility when I went to view the auction items... By that point there was not much going on there, and I wish I got the chance to see the full set up there ... The facility is a super modern looking space ... It's essentially a huge warehouse or open space similar to an airplane hanger. They had a ton of verrry cool automotive type furnishings ... I would have really liked to be able to check out more of the custom cars that they built, but oh well :(

This is a small custom car factory that builds the Rally Fighter . I have seen the Rally Fighter vehicle in magazines and videos but to see them in person in various stages of completion was truly a treat. Although I have never patronized Local Motors, I have to stop by their Yelp page with a 5 star review because I attended an incredibly fun event on February 9th, 2013. They held an open-house tour of the facility with free food, drink and autocross. Everyone there was a true gearhead and very friendly. Tempe Honda was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. My brand…read morenew Honda lit up with every warning and check-engine message imaginable. I brought it in expecting answers and support. Instead, I got neither. They don't offer loaner cars, so I had to spend $350 on a rental for just three days. After all that, they told me it was just a "glitch in the system." No real explanation. No accountability. No compensation for my time or money wasted. To make it worse, they left my car with 7 miles in the tank because they "had to drive it to get a read." That should have been clearly explained upfront. It wasn't. When I asked for a ride home, they told me the shuttle was closed so once again, I had to spend more of my own money. The whole place feels cold and robotic. No empathy. No effort to make things right. When you buy a new car, you expect support -- not to be brushed off and left paying out of pocket for their mistakes. I would not recommend Tempe Honda to anyone who expects real customer service.

We live far from this place...we wanted to use Slaughter but tried first to see if another shop closer would be able to help. They couldn't give me a definite answer or make me feel like my car was in good hands without it being way expensive. Decided to make the drive & drop off at Slaughter. The fix was done within a day & the bill was very reasonable. Decided to bite the bullet from now on and make the drive with my car repairs bc I know the shop will be honest & reasonable .
