It is always difficult to decide who to trust when you buy a used car. I can say this, Trucks and Imports is a family run business and the owner Bruce was absolutely amazing. They offer a very professional and friendly service. No pushing, no stress, no feeling of pressure. Horrible experience and will do everything in my power to NOT recommend this place to anyone! New Channel 12 was even on my side about this. They sold me a Lemon less than a year ago and it's falling apart on me. They lied and said it was in great condition and charged me $11,000 for a fair condition car that I ended up later finding out it was only worth $6,000 at the time. The car I went there to look at had mysteriously been sold the hour prior and they talked me into this car when I didn't even want an automatic but offered to lower the price which they never ended up doing. So now I am stuck with this 2006 POS car that is literally falling apart left and right to the point to where the door won't even close now. I went back to speak with them and all 3 men laughed in me and my mom's face. They need to learn how to have better customer service and how to treat women. read more

A year and a half ago I was desperate for a car and had just moved out on my own. I needed a car fast so I did not take the time into looking into other deals. They sold me a 2008 SAAB that was worth about $8,000, for $11,000. It had only one year left on the warranty. And they gave me an interest rate of 23%. UNHEARD OF. At the time I had no idea what the normal APR for a car was...reasonable for a first time buyer is about 14-17%. They had me paying on the car for 60 months as well. So this $11,000 old car was now doubled in price to $23,000 after interest. But thankfully I found a better dealership who got me out of the deal and let me trade for a better, newer car! read more

When it comes to buying a car, whatever you do please don't choose Trucks and imports in Mesa. I am truly one of many that has been sold a lemon. I unknowingly purchased a lemon from that establishment about 6 months ago. Since that purchase the little red lemon has had numerous problems, starting from day #1. It rode off the lot smooth. But by the time I made it home which is about 40 miles. It was running so rough & shaking, I thought the windows were going to break from the vibration alone. My husband came out to see my new car, but what he saw was a pretty little red car barely running. An obvious P.O.S. He looked the lemon over and found it low on oil, low on antifreeze. With antifreeze leaks around the reservoir around the firewall. The power steering was almost empty the front tires were bald. He suggested I take it right back, but I wanted to CALL first to see if they would make it RIGHT. I talked to the business owners son ( Jordan ) about these things since him being the one who sold it to me. I also mentioned I found the passenger seat belt not working, an unsafe strap in. Non retract/loose. They said they would have to order a new one. It took about 2 weeks. TOTALLY UNSAFE. His response was that the car had just had a tune up, an everything was just done . But I could bring it in for them to check. After getting a call from my husband , they recanted their statements about the car being already tuned up. Telling me they got it mixed up with another car and that they were now tuning it. Within a weeks time the rear window stopped working. And the convertible top would not work. They referred me to a window guy who told my husband he had fixed that window problem about 2 times before. A month later it seems like car was just burning a lot of fuel and just falling apart. This has bed a bad experience , to make a short story shorter the car took a complete dump on the middle of the highway 10 W. I was lucky that no one was hurt when the engine just stopped going. We had it towed home and then to a repair facility who said the super charger went out and car will not run without it. Approx $3500 fix. I purchased an extended warranty when I bought the car but no one will honor it. TRUCKS AND IMPORTS owner "Bruce Leaky" said to me "it ain't his fault that I can't take care of the car. And he ain't gonna do anything about it, because it's not his problem anymore." I made all my payments on time. I am now stuck with a real lemon that will not run but I'm still being charged for. I have missed some days of work and had to rely on others to pick up my young children at times. Their ages 5 & 9 yrs old. Trucks and imports should not be allowed to operate anything in our communities. They are just bleeding already struggling people. Please don't buy squat from those crooks. Do yourselves a favor and go the other way. I hope the Better Business Bureau gets involved, as well as the lemon law attorneys and news media. Trucks and imports are crooks and need to be shut down! First let me start off by saying when they wanted more money for a down payment they would call several times a day until we were able to bring more money. When we needed help we called several times and were put off to other people. After a week of no response we drove to the office to get answers. Even the a smug salesman tried to push us off to another. At this we point we demanded to see somebody right now. Well we got to see a Kevin who I suppose is one of the owners (according to the AZ Corporation Commission). Once we sat in his office we had to listen his phone call where he was more that arrogant to the person on the phone. Did you know Kevin has several businesses? Just ask him, he loves to talk about how great he is. Ok bad to the bad service. After his research he found that we had paid for an extended warrantee and in fact the warrantee company had posted it as paid. Kevin was more than adamant that it would not show paid if we had not paid for it. He agreed that there should have been a warrantee and that we were within our mileage. This was on a Friday and he said he would take care of it and get back to us Monday. On Monday we got a call and guess what happened? Kevin fed a story about how the warrantee was no good because that was part of the first contract we had with them. If I got the warrantee with the first contract how did it not make it to the second? Why would I not get the warrantee 3 days later when we did the second contract and why was $1400 sent to the warrantee company and they show it paid? I wonder if Kevin remembers telling us that there is now way it would show paid if the money was not given to the warrantee company. Somewhere they screwed up and now are unwilling to work with us. I paid for my repairs out of pocket because the warrantee company stated that the dealership never sent new contract to them. The warrantee company filed a complaint with the dealership too. signed I'm bigger than you so stop acting huge! read more

They were great. We were upside down in a newer car wanting to sell it for a decent truck. We had gone many places but were unable to make a deal for the lower payment we wanted. (With no money down)...my husband came in one evening after work, everyone was gone except one guy who could not help. We were a little bummed out. The next day we got a call that they were able to work it out for us. We ended up with the truck we wanted, a lower payment, no payments for 3 months AND a 90 day power train warranty. I found a vehicle I was looking for online through a search engine. When I saw the website I was somewhat concerned about how professional and serious this dealership would be because there was no punctuation and it was poorly drafted like they hired a high school student. I should of not wasted my time. But, since it was a specific vehicle that was hard to find I decided to check it out. Like the review below they were very unprofessional. There was no one on the lot and it took a huge effort just to try to get somewhere and get someone to help. I think this dealership may be having money problems. After going in circles with this guy and hearing someone shouting in the background I asked to speak with a manager. What a joke! Here comes this man who had the pretend muscles, walking like he owned the world, and bowed his arms like he was the hugest weight lifted in the world. I had to stop myself from laughing and thought to myself this should be interesting. I tried to give my price I was interested in which was not much less that they were selling it for and he started on about himself. He stated about how wonderful his dealership is and even went into how personally great he was. 90% of what he stated had nothing to do with the dealership. I corrected him that I wanted to stick with business, not his personal endeavor, and he got upset and offensive. I got up and left. I purchased the car from Mesa Trucks and Imports on 05/05/2011 with a guarantee that the dealership had put several new parts on the car and it was in good working order. The first 5 weeks I owned this car after purchasing it from a used car lot the car was in the repair shop every single week for various things. First the gas gauge went out before the loan was even finalized and the steering wheel vibrated when the brakes were applied. The dealership fixed the gas gauge with a new fuel pump and the said they fixed the brakes. Other problems such as a vibrating and loud whirring noise coming from the rear end and a groaning and rough power steering pump made its way into the mix. After taking the vehicle in an additional 4 times, the dealership stated they fixed the brake problem with a whole new assembly on the rear brakes and new and reconditioned parts on the front brakes (the brakes were one of the things that the owner himself had told had already been redone on the car before I bought it). They also said the noises I heard were road noises and can happen over time, and added a power steering fluid dressing rather than replacing the pump. The vibrating did not happen over time but happened while I was driving suddenly and so they rotated the tires (which are also bad and they admitted since the car had been sitting on the lot that they had a bit of dryness and cupping and can case vibrations) and did some more work to the rear end. Since the middle of June 2011 when I picked up the car for the last time the brakes and power steering went back to their previous condition and other problems have arisen. The air condition stopped working and the transmission jerks the entire car when I shift into drive or reverse from any other gear. Also, today I took my car in for an oil change and an estimate for the brakes since they were very obviously failing despite the "new" assembly the dealership had put on. The outcome was what I expected, all four wheels had warped rotors and bad pads and the estimated repair cost was $516.95, they also informed me that my head gasket and lower intake manifold were leaking profusely and my serpentine belt was cracking and the repair costs for these problems are $1330.64. For the entire first month I had the car it was brought in for repairing every other day and I don't know the cost since the dealership footed the bill but less than 4 months since it was last at the dealership I need to put another $1,800.00 into the car and this does not even address the tires, transmission, or air conditioning. read more
