a hand holding a cup of ice cream
Chythra G.

The ice cream here is ok compared to other local stores. And the price is heavy on the pocket. $12 odd for 2 small cups

left: cookies and cream hard ice cream at the bottom with vanilla soft serve and rainbow sprinkles at the top right: strawberry sorbet

This Carvel is as good as any Carvel I've ever visited. Surprised it doesn't have more 5* reviews!

The Sagaponack General Store was total perfection. This was our stop on the way home from our…read moreMontauk trip, and I'm so grateful my friends never hesitate when I say, "I want to go somewhere just to try one thing." This time, it was their breakfast biscuit sandwich, and it absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the ham, egg, and cheese on a biscuit with lemonade and their green sauce. Perfection. I would honestly drive here just for that meal. What makes this place even more special is the beautiful outdoor space. The backyard garden, farm views, and benches create the perfect setting to enjoy your food, relax, and talk about life with friends. The food is absolutely worth the price, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I loved everything about this place. It's a little off the beaten path from the main streets, but now I understand why everyone makes the trip. Next time, I'll be stopping here on the way to Montauk for breakfast, and again on the way home. That's how good it is. The breakfast burrito is definitely next on my list.

I hate to say it but I get the hype over the egg sandwich. Yes the price hurts the wallet but I've…read morenever had such fluffy eggs. Skip the ham though; it barely covers half the sandwich. $16 with ham, $14 without. Only thing I didn't like was the cheese sticking to the wrapper. It was hard and messy unwrapping the sandwich. I had an oat milk draft latte ($8 for medium). Good but not sure it was worth it. It felt like half the drink was foam and not strong enough. Skip the apple cider donut for $4. It's tiny. The blueberry orange scone is good and I'm guessing the most popular pastry because they had a tray behind the register. Only complaint is that it didn't seem fully cooked through in some bites. Two pretzels were good as well. Total bill $51. Hope to go back again this summer and will be curious to see if it's a little less crowded during the week. I was there around 10am on a Friday. Parking was limited. Lot was closed because it was full. There was a line to order but it wasn't terribly long. There were enough empty benches outside to find a place to sit. Only downside about sitting in the backyard was that it's very hot in the sun!

I am a woman of color ,living in a land of WASP East Hampton, so thought I would support a woman owned business, if I could not find a minority-owned business. Little did I know they would treat me so terribly!!!!! Their name should have been a clue to ARROGANCE... This was the WORST Service I have ever received from a catering company. We used them for our wedding, and they made sure I knew that I wasn't spending enough money for them to care about me on my important day!! After the reception, I went to pick up the items the next day at the site and they had been left out in the rain. There were several items locked inside the office so I could not retrieve for 3 days. When I did retrieve my items, I discovered they had THROWN OUT my wedding Bouquet, and a WEDDING PRESENT!! When I contacted them about the missing items, and poor service, they were Rude and Arrogant to me about any apologies or reimbursements. ***In advance of the event, my husband contacted them to ask how much we needed to tip their staff, and were told that we DID NOT NEED TO TIP STAFF!! The staff advised me they were paid $25/hour period with ZERO ADDITIONAL TIPS. We were charged $95 per person @100 people, so where did the additional money go? Apparently to the owners and not the staff!!!*** When we did our trial event, they used gorgeous service plates that showed off the food. When we had our actual wedding reception, they used small ordinary white plates that looked terrible for the food. I would never use them nor recommend them to anyone.

We ordered lunch and dinner for a bachelorette weekend and we couldn't have made a better decision!…read more The presentation of the food was beautiful--fresh flowers, wooden containers--and the food tasted just as good! We had the afternoon tea package for lunch--the sandwiches and salads were great and the parfait was AMAZING! For dinner, we had the BBQ dinner which was also very good! The delivery made it so easy for a group of 10 women to eat dinner and still have time to get ready for a night out! I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Our Thanksgiving Feast from Insatiable Eats was utterly fantastic. Beautifully presented,…read moredelicious, and locally sourced. (Apple pie from Briermere Farms!). It was especially meaningful because we were able to help support their Citizens 4 Humanity mission, which delivers the same magnificent Thanksgiving meals to East End families in crisis--single mothers and their kids, seniors and, most recently, families affected by COV-ID.With a focus on single moms in the East End L.I. community, we have been lifting up our neighbors in need since 2010. Throughout the year, we receive names from community groups and schools of families who are struggling from a life crisis. We are fortunate to work with local farms to utilize extra produce that is transformed into healthy meals. Next Thanksgiving, please consider sponsoring a family of any size ($50), medium ($75) or large ($100). Or make an online donation of your choice through the C4H site https://www.gofundme.com/f/Thanksgiving-Mission-2020/donate, or mail a check directly to Citizens 4 Humanity at 73 Foster Avenue, Hampton Bays, NY 11946. We look forward to visiting Chef Marco and Sheila at their Water Mill restaurant and the Lobster Factory, and they are our #1 caterers of choice.
