The Sagaponack General Store was total perfection. This was our stop on the way home from our Montauk trip, and I'm so grateful my friends never hesitate when I say, "I want to go somewhere just to try one thing." This time, it was their breakfast biscuit sandwich,and it absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the ham, egg, and cheese on a biscuit with lemonade and their green sauce. Perfection. I would honestly drive here just for that meal. What makes this place even more special is the beautiful outdoor space. The backyard garden, farm views, and benches create the perfect setting to enjoy your food, relax, and talk about life with friends. The food is absolutely worth the price, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I loved everything about this place. It's a little off the beaten path from the main streets, but now I understand why everyone makes the trip. Next time, I'll be stopping here on the way to Montauk for breakfast,and again on the way home. That's how good it is. The breakfast burrito is definitely next on my list. read more

This place is a must visit when you're in the Hamptons. Its such a nice spot to check random stuff. You'll find some candles, bags, pastries thats so yummy, coffee, matcha, fresh vegestables, snacks and many more! I got myself some matcha and apple fritter and it was the best! The matcha I ask for 3 pumps of vanilla syrup and it was perfect sweetness for me. So refreshing! For the apple fritter its so addicting! Its sweet and I'm not really into sweet stuff but this one is really delicious! I hangout at their cute backyard garden on a perfect summer weather. It was the best! read more

I hate to say it but I get the hype over the egg sandwich. Yes the price hurts the wallet but I've never had such fluffy eggs. Skip the ham though; it barely covers half the sandwich. $16 with ham, $14 without. Only thing I didn't like was the cheese sticking to the wrapper. It was hard and messy unwrapping the sandwich. I had an oat milk draft latte ($8 for medium). Good but not sure it was worth it. It felt like half the drink was foam and not strong enough. Skip the apple cider donut for $4. It's tiny. The blueberry orange scone is good and I'm guessing the most popular pastry because they had a tray behind the register. Only complaint is that it didn't seem fully cooked through in some bites. Two pretzels were good as well. Total bill $51. Hope to go back again this summer and will be curious to see if it's a little less crowded during the week. I was there around 10am on a Friday. Parking was limited. Lot was closed because it was full. There was a line to order but it wasn't terribly long. There were enough empty benches outside to find a place to sit. Only downside about sitting in the backyard was that it's very hot in the sun! read more

This general store is beautifully restored while still maintaining its original historic charm. They have a fantastic selection of local and artisan goods. I came prepared knowing the prices would be expensive (certain items they were selling were priced 3X higher than I pay for at home). Came here because TikTok told me to, and I'm glad I did. This place is absolutely adorable. You could spend an hour looking at all the little tchotchkes up for sale. I was here around Easter time, so they had plenty of bunnies and Easter candy out for sale, as well as lots of premade food options and pastries. I know everyone comes here for the breakfast sandwich, but it was late afternoon when I got here so I settled for a nice coffee which was strong and fresh. Staff here are pleasant, the space itself is also really clean. Note that if you go during off season there's no indoor seating, so come on a nice day if you plan to sip or dine in. Wifi is also available if you wanted to come and get some work done at their outdoor tables. I think I saw some chickens in the back which is a nice touch. read more

Gorgeous ambiance and delicious breakfast sandwiches! Adorable general store with all sorts of goodies inside from fresh honey to artisan teas. The grounds are stunning - lavender everywhere you look! We arrived at 9:30am on a Thursday and there wasn't much of a line. I ordered the Egg and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich. Overrated now. I really dislike when places go through a massive reno and totally erase the vibes and reason why it was so great. Coffee was ok, I tried the biscuit, it was decent. However the layout is odd; seems like there's a lot of wasted space, and it feels like they exaggerated the very touristy elements of a general store. Very limited food options. I was excited for this place to open, but it ended up being super underwhelming. On top of that, we had a weird checkout experience where the cashier tried to charge us $140 for a gallon of milk ($7.45), bread ($13), cheese crackers ($25--overpriced but delicious), one round of cheese, and a baby food pouch. We questioned it, and she realized the register had been glitching--she re-rang it, and it came to $70. Then I noticed the baby pouch rang up at $5.50, even though the sign said $4.50. When I mentioned it, she got defensive and said there were two types (I had seen that, but the other one was $4.95). At that point, it wasn't even about the $1--it was that after nearly charging us double, she wouldn't honor the posted price and claimed the register was right and the sign was wrong. Just not a great experience overall, and I'm honestly bummed because I was really looking forward to coming here often. read more

The place is beautiful. The food is good BUT, it's price gauging at its finest. They have kids running the place making less than the price of a sandwhich per hour. They need to chill with the prices. Especially, Since the owner is a Blackrock billionaire. I got 2 tiny ( the size of breadsticks ) baguettes with ham and a matcha $42. My parents have taken me here every weekend since it's opened and everyone in the whole store treats me like a prince!!! They have an amazing selection of sweets, delicious foods (my personal favorites are the sweet potato and the pumpkin that are excellent when pureed). First, the store is absolutely stunning. It's sunny, airy, and all of the displays are cool antique-type things. It's like traveling back in time--you can tell everything was restored with so much love and thought. Second, the selection is amazing: The coffee is delicious, beautiful flowers, fun apparel, and great grab and go food. I could spend an hour just poking through everything. Stopped by to check out the newly renovated store and it is amazing !! Beautiful thoughtful furnishings some paying homage to the post office . The food , bread and pastries are all made daily on premises and looked delicious !! I sampled way too much, cinnamon bun, pretzel and croissant!! All very tasty ! The ambience is charming and the country feel is spot-on! However, a deeper dive reveals a different story. Without going on and on: A simple peanut and jelly sandwich left us feeling quite ripped off. Not because of the price, but because of the lack of substance. The tiny sandwich did not have more than a small bite of peanut and jelly from the center of each side. Three quarters of the sandwich was nothing more than than two dry pieces bread stuck together with wrapping. EVERY single sandwich is delicious (including an amazing vegetarian option!!), the chicken is incredible, the breakfast sandwich is simply life changing. Not only is the food divine, the store offers amazing hostess gifts (flowers, serving utensils, etc.) and has custom merch that is irresistible (I find myself getting a hat or sweatshirt with every visit)! This place is magical. A modern take on a historically important and classic General Store. No detail was missed, yet at the same time, great restraint was shown so that the decor and selection feels highly curated. Staff is helpful and friendly. The rotisserie chicken is off the charts, as are the dips, salads, breads and pretty much all baked goods. Love that they carry Flamingo Estate products as well as other unusual items that can easily be used as gifts. Frozen yogurt flavors and topping selection is extensive and much appreciated. For all the hype this place got, I found it rather disappointing. We got there on a Monday afternoon and by that point, the "must have" egg sandwich was sold out along with many other items including the avocado sprouts sandwich. Flies were flying around the loaves of bread and food out in the open, so that deterred me to get those items. I asked for the rotisserie chicken, but no one was able to help get it ready so it would have been an additional wait so I passed on that. I decided to just get the apple pie (which was actually really good and tasted like a "healthier" option too), the chicken salad sandwich (it was fine, nothing spectacular), and the chocolate croissant (just because it was an overpriced gigantic chocolate croissant doesn't mean anything if it's just a tiny sliver of chocolate that's not even evenly spread out) and these 3 items were already $75!! Straight robbery with those prices. It's definitely a cute instagrammable place and maybe the experience would have been different if I went earlier in the day, but I would probably only go back again just for the pie if I felt like splurging. read more
