The service was absolutely wonderful, the employees were so sweet and kind. However, the ice cream was just okay to me, and the oreos did not taste that good. I may go back to try other flavors though.

Shards of plastic in my ice cream. I saw the kid change the plastic cover, now I realize it broke on him while he was mixing my cavanalanche with reeses and oreos. He knew he screwed up, but still served a costumer this BS. I ate a few pieces too, until I caught the small one and saw what it is. 9.80 for a cup of ice cream with plastics shards. This is dangerous.

$8.50 for large oreo shake. I think they also charged for whip cream because he said it was $6.99 before we said yes. Really?? Ok, if it were good like van leuwen good, but it was more like van crappen. This spot has been here for at least 3 decades that I can count but I wager longer. Fine it's an institution and honestly we literally have no other ice creamery to go in the middle of summer than here. Rain or shine they always have a line June through August. Every single time I shake my head after one sip or lick of pure butter fat churned sugar with artificial additives. Someone like VL or ample hills- come open one in Sheepshead bay and put Carvel out of their misery.

Carvel has been a staple to this neighborhood for over 20 years. the pistachio milkshake and sundaes are my favorite.

This is a great ice cream spot not simply because the staff here are really friendly, they have 2 types of ice creams one regular carvel ice cream and the other they make kosher ice cream. They also have a nice bug parking lot plus outdoor sitting area in a nice summer day to enjoy the ice creams. We went on Wednesday which to our surprise had a long line outside at 10pm and that we found out was due to Buy 1 Get 1 free Sundays on Wednesday !!! Enjoy

    Whole lotta icecream!

Hands down one of my favorite Carvel Locations! They have a parking lot!! FREE PARKING!!! YES, THERE IS FREE PARKING IN BROOKLYN!! Ice cream at this location is always super fresh and they oddly have such a large amount of soft serve machines here its insane! Do you know what this means?? Unique flavors like Biscoff cookie that can be served as soft serve and hard. They have some of my favorite flavors including my top pick maple walnut. The selection of cakes is on point! They have so many unique cakes with a LARGE SELECTION to choose from!! Some staff is better than others as they will ask if they can give you samples or if you need free cup of crunchies with the purchase of your cake and others are okay, for the most part I've always had good experiences at this location. I think all Carvel icecream runs around the same concept that has filled our hearts and bellies for decades but this Carvel really caters to its customers. FUN FACT:IMPRACTICAL JOKERS were at this location! Credit card minimum $10. Cash accepted. Everyone knows the best day to go to carvel is Wendsday?? BOGO!! In all seriousness great Carvel!

Definitely one of the sheepshead bays neighborhoods favorite ice cream place to go. They are usually crowded on nice days but they have a large staff so they get people in and out, QUICK, so I need to give them credit. One thing which I didn't appreciate was when I called in to order our ice cream cake. The lady who answered was rude and rushed us off the phone while saying she knew the spelling of my nieces name and ended up getting it wrong- lol, just shows ignorance. Overall the ice cream is always good and the fudgy the whale cake was awesome, just wish their people skills over the phone were a little bit on the nicer end.

My small ( not to small actually) proline and strawberry mix.

Wonderful service. The best quality ice cream in New York. It actually feels like ice cream rather than mix and water combination.

Plus their baked goods are delicious! Two stand outs are the black sesame Swiss rolls and the durian cream puffs. It's been a year since my last review, and I think they improved the black sesame flavor. A full Swiss roll was $28 and so worth it. The durian cream puffs has a chunk of durian in it and the choux was crisp. Durian cream puffs sell out often. The chestnut mini cake is super cute, and honestly, it's hard to find chestnut flavored things here anymore. If I had to label this bakery anything, it would be the Chinese bakery that has all the nostalgic flavors with modern takes. Most Chinese bakeries by here don't do black sesame, durian or chestnut anymore. And this place does it well, and they're nice. NOTE: to order, they prefer WeChat. My ordering snafu happened bc I tried calling and there was a language miscommunication between WeChat/text messaging. WeChat is the easiest way to place orders.

We ordered a custom cake for my niece's 12th birthday, and it was honestly one of the best custom cakes I've ever had. Most custom cakes tend to have a denser, tougher sponge, but this one was incredibly fluffy, bouncy, and perfectly balanced, most importantly not too sweet. The texture reminded me of the amazing cakes I've had in China, and I haven't found anything like it here until now. We also tried their fresh mochi filled with whipped cream and mango, it was so light and melts in your mouth! The mochi skin had just the right chew and reminded me of the fresh mochi I had in Taiwan. Even their mini hot dog bun was super tasty! Every item we tried was a hit. I'll definitely be back here!

There was absolutely no flavor--just tasted like straight butter and sugar. I know what pandan taste like and it wasn't it. I paid extra for pandan flavor, and honestly there was zero trace of it. I could tell she used green dye, It literally tasted like a bland, buttery sugar cookie cake. Texture-wise, it was just as bad. It wasn't moist at all and didn't even hold up properly even before cutting--it just fell apart. It looks like crumbled rocks. The cake was so dry! For the price, I expected much better quality. Communication was another major issue. There's no phone number, only email, which already felt off. Responses were slow and unhelpful, making the whole process feel unprofessional and honestly a bit sketchy. What kind of business only communicates through email? Overall, I'm highly disappointed. Definitely not worth the money. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere--this is a perfect example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I truly wanted to support her small business but it didn't turn out the way I expected. This business overpromise and under deliver. Don't say you can make a pandan cake when you clearly don't have the proper ingredients. Could been honest to begin with but instead you dug a hole and lied by using green dye. Never again am I supporting this small home business I rather go to an actual LLC.
