I did not have a favorable interaction with Core Plumbing. I Purchased a 1920's house that needs a…read morelot of repairs. I asked Glen to please look at my toilets that were not working. Glen stopped by and quoted me $190 cash to replace a valve, he mentioned that might be the problem. The $190 is fair, although it's a $19 part repair, so agreed. The job was done in about 5 minutes, we had running water and a toilet that flushed. Glen quickly left after I paid him cash. I went to the restroom to ensure everything was fine and noticed the water was still leaking and pouring out of the toilet near the valve that Glen had just fixed. I shut off the water, and called Glen. I mentioned I would simply buy new toilets to resolve the issue completely . Glen quoted me about $450 to replace two toilets: I purchased NEW toilets and was ready to get them installed. . I asked if he could please ensure the toilets would properly flush, and ensure I have no drain issues. Glen mentioned "if I have to run line to check your drains it's going to be a lot more than just $450". At that point I just felt frustrated, I felt up charge at every point of my house, we agreed to not have anything done. Overall it was a bad and did not feel like an honest experience. I should have just done the work myself.

He installed the sink and went on his way. The charges were very reasonable for the work. And that's when I became a total idiot... I noticed cracks in the sink's bowl. I called Jayk's. The person asked for a snapshot of the problem. I sent it and (honestly) said I didn't remember if there were crack that large before. A minute later Jayk's sent me a photo of the pre-work sink. Yep... there were the cracks. I apologized profusely and they were cool about it. Apparently the old ugly faucet was all I could notice. So...yeah...I'm a dummy who has become too used to contractors creating as many problems as they fixed. Not Jayk's though - they're great.

Was told by the lady that answered the phone, she saw the service request and had forwarded the information. I asked was there a timeframe and was told, no, if he accepts the order he will give you a call - if he rejects I would need to call American Home Shield back. I was definitely confused.... The plumber actually called us in 20 minutes.... asking to speak to Mina...ummmm - wrong name. We called back and told him we were waiting on him to call us back - he said that he wouldn't able to get to the plumbing issues today and tomorrow was questionable.... but it's 'after hours' hence my confusion. Now I'm wondering, was him calling us a misdail? Would he have even called us back to say he couldn't come? I have children in the house & they need water. So please, what should we have done? Melvin is a true find! I had unscrewed the kitchen faucet…read morecap to see why the tiny, sealed LED light had gone out in the Allen + Roth faucet sprayer. Upon unscrewing the metal hose, it immediately retracted into the curved faucet -- slid through the tube and caught at the end of the pipe under the sink. I was able to feed it back up through the curved faucet, and could see the end of the metal hose up near the top side but was unable to pinch the edge of the hose and pull it through. I worked at it for a couple of hours -- trying and hoping that I could fix it -- but finally threw in the towel. Professional help was needed. Melvin answered my phone call at 8:30 am while on his way to an already scheduled service call. Hearing that we had guests who had just arrived the night before, he agreed to try and make it by our house that afternoon. Melvin was able to come by that afternoon, reconnect the water line, identify the part number of the faucet head, connect with the company's customer service department to determine the replacement part. Melvin is knowledgeable, patient, fair and kind. He goes the extra mile in providing plumbing service. Unbeatable!
