Sterotypical sleazy used car dear vibes and tactics - adding expensive warranties, extremely long delays to "speak to the manager", etc. Manager Andrew was the ringleader on this end - I think he thinks he's charming and/or funny... Really, his stories were either boring or inappropriate and offensive. Not helpful at all. You get the ideal... Made a deal over the telephone with salesman Nasir after an in person visit and test drive. Then he ghosted me for 3 days and I had to call and speak to a manger just to find out that they'd sold it to another customer next day. What the absolute h~##??!! Please, please avoid these clowns. Went here to look at some EVs. First one we wanted to drive they claimed was being repaired. Classic bait and switch. Rep pushed us to test drive a similar one with higher miles. It was same price with 3x the miles. That had what sounded like bad bearings in rear motor. It also had serious accident history on carfax. They required a credit check before even letting you test drive. Pushing hard on all sorts of extended warranties, gap insurance, etc. Worst of all, you can only use their lenders which have much higher interest rates than my credit union. Next day went to Chevy dealer. Similar vehicle with even less miles and a CPO warranty. They took a copy of my driver's license, tossed me the keys and sent me off for a test drive. No up front credit check. Got back and I said, "I will take it". They had no issue going through my credit union but asked if I would give them the chance to match or beat the rate which they did. I said, "oh, BTW, I am not interested in any dealer add ons". No problem. Drove it home that day. read more

I also want to flag the CarVision Body Shop (303 W Elm St, Norristown, PA 19403) -- it's likely where they fix damaged cars before selling them, potentially to avoid reporting issues on Carfax. No one there speaks English well (not their fault), but it seems like they might be taken advantage of, which is concerning. If these suspicions are true, it could be illegal. CarVision misdiagnosed my car as having DIESEL FUEL in the tank. The whole experience was HORRENDOUS. I broke down on the side of the road and spent hours waiting for a call back from both service departments -- which never came. The tow truck ultimately had to leave my car across the street once I could not get anyone on the phone, and I had to Uber there the next day just to drop off the key. I was told it would take 24-48 hours to diagnose, but after multiple unreturned calls and days of being told "it's on the lift," they finally claimed my tank was contaminated a week later, quoted me $1,300+, and even gave me a water bottle with supposed fuel from my car. This led to an unnecessary investigation with Wawa fuel -- all based on their false diagnosis. A certified mechanic later confirmed the real issue was a fuel injector recall covered by Hyundai warranty. No diesel was ever in my tank. On top of that, my fuel pump fuse had been removed and not replaced, causing further delays, unnecessary diagnostic charges, and a dead battery. Because of CarVision's negligence, I lost weeks without my car, spent thousands on rentals, paid for multiple tows and diagnostic bills, and endured endless stress -- even missing a close friend's wedding. Don't buy a car from car vision. They're a rip off car dealer. They will try and sell you anything without having it pass an actual safety inspection. Im not talking about their so called inspection but a real inspection. We checked out a car .a few months ago and the windows didn't even worked. My son and I agree that it looked like it was in an auto accident after looking under the hood, although the salesman said no accidents. I called the dealership and they informed me that the car is available, so I scheduled a 5 p.m. appointment. I received a text from a guy named Luis who gave me directions and assured me that someone would help when I arrived at 5 p.m. One of the agents there looked at the car when I arrived and informed me that it was $21,999. They also showed me the pricing on their website. I texted Luis, who confirmed the same, saying he saw the price displayed as $16,999. I returned and requested to talk with the manager, but he arrived after 15 minutes and stated that he does not understand how the price of $16,999 was displayed on Edmunds. I received an email setting up a Monday morning appointment within an hour. My sales person was Quinn Thibault, Quinn was informative, responsive to my questions, and easy to work with. He extended himself to me in several ways, including coming in early to accommodate my time need for pick up of my new car. I appreciated his competent, pleasant demeanor. I will be referring people to him in the future. The finance managers were competent and helped get financing and Insurance I was happy with. If you want cushy, this is not the place to go. Told her the car I wanted, filled out a credit app, and started trying to find a baby sitter for my child. Earliest I could get there was 2 but she assured me the car would be ready at 2. Messaged her again around noon to confirm everything was still good. She said yes the car is ready, see you soon. OK, cool. Drive over an hour, get to a mess of a lobby with a bunch of employees that seemed like they didn't know what they were doing or who to help. Checked in, no one knew who I was, and was told oh, we sold that car first thing this morning. Then was told, oh this happens all the time. Excuse me? You had every opportunity to let me know it was sold. But I was ready with a back up. Had a second picked out. Asked about that. Oh that one sold too. Suuuurrreee it did. This place is a hot mess. I don't think they ever even had the cars, I think they throw up certain listing's to get people in then try to bait you into something else. Not to mention after filling out the credit app, no one contacted me from the finance team. Their internal communication is terrible. Avoid Cameron, the kid is a slimy weasel. They lie about everything to get you to buy a car, falsify paperwork, and then once you have the car which they sold you a warranty for that no dealer in America but they will take - they get you in for service and keep your car for weeks or months refusing to return phone calls or offer any information. They only accept financing from their lenders that's very unfortunate. I got a great rate from my bank that I cannot use here. This is bad business and a smart person will like to have multiple options not be subjected to your financing. There is a review here written by "Bradley S." and his experience was almost identical to mine. I was very specific when I asked about the EV credit. They could have saved ALL of us a bunch of time by simply explaining that that credit is only available to people making less than 75k a year. Very simple explanation that would have allowed me to shop elsewhere. But they gave me the "sure, come on in" treatment. After driving over an hour, sitting in their chaotic office teeming with dozens of people, and then running a hard credit inquiry (which is now stuck on my credit report for 2 years) they told me the car I had picked out was already sold. It was 2pm, so when they "sold" that car, they couldn't pull the listing? Then I tried picking a different model for the same price but after adding 4K for the EV credit that I wasnt eligible for, dealer fees, gap insurance that I didn't ask for or want, and warranties....the car came out to DOUBLE the listed price. Double? That is insanity. Their salespeople behave like politicians when questioned...they never seem to give you a straight answer. It's always ducking and dodging and it seems they just want to get you in there and then play games with your time and money. I would not recommend this dealership. I'm sure there are happy customers who had good experiences, but even a broken clock is right twice a day and if you look at the other reviews, it is clear that they have a history of doing this to people. But, when the manager came out to tell me the final price was $8K more my jaw dropped with disappointment. There was a list of fees that he said were required by PA. Then, there was a charge of $995 for coverage of wheel and rim damage. He said this was negotiable. Still, there were add-ons like an additional warranty coverage that I did not ask for, and mandatory gap insurance that I did not want that he implied we're not optional.
