I spent over thirty years going to a dentist in Hinsdale that I thought was the best dentist ever. I even drove to Hinsdale for my routine checkups and emergency needs. I thought he was that good. However, I have discovered a dental team at Cary Grove Dental that moves the bar even higher! The dental team is truly excellent in all relevant categories. The receptionist and accounts manager are extremely helpful, efficient, and friendly. They are professionals who give each visit a personal touch. The dental hygienists are all extremely proficient in their clinical skills and knowledge. Their work is painless and thorough. They have provided me with excellent clinical recommendations regarding the daily oral care. I am always impressed with the depth of knowledge they display when they explain what they are doing, why they are doing it, and what it does to help me. I have had appointments with three different hygienists since becoming a client and all display the same level of personable, professional care and outstanding clinical performance. This indicates to me that Dr. Pokorny takes great effort in selecting personnel of the highest quality for their dental team. The teams use of high quality and technically advanced dental systems, including instant digital displays of x-rays allows the team to provide the absolute best care. This also is a clear indication to me that Dr. Pokorny has taken the time to remain on the cutting edge of her profession and has made the investment in her office equipment and staff to keep it at the highest level of quality. Dr. Pokorny reflects all that has been observed above. She is very professional and yet provides a very personal "chair side" approach that provides for a relaxing and comfortable experience. Her explanations of the procedures that she uses are clear, easily understood and appreciated. I have seen her in dental emergency situations and she is very responsive and effective in resolving the issue. One of her characteristics that I greatly appreciate is that when discussing your dental care plan of action, she is very forthright about all the options available. She explains each option clearly in terms of the work to be done, the clinical rationale behind that option, the long term effects of the procedure, and the costs. She answers all questions clearly and precisely. Instead of the "you need a bridge" that I got from my previous dentist, when the need arose she indicated "you may need a bridge, however, because one tooth has no dental flaws and would need to be altered to accommodate a bridge, a here are several options that you may want to consider." I went in thinking I would need a costly bridge, but left with an excellent alternative approach which cost me a fraction of the cost of a bridge and has worked flawlessly. Her knowledge and skill combined with true concern for the patient, allows her to provide such excellent service. I still have great respect for my previous dentist. We first went to Cary Dental with a groupon and have been no where else since that visit. Dr. Gail Pokorny has been professional and friendly and both my husband and I look forward to returning for our checkups and cleanings with her assistants who are friendly and very thorough. We have never had to wait more than five minutes past our appointment time, parking could not be easier, and the office is very attractive, clean, and bright. We receive a senior discount but the regular prices seem very fair also. I had to return last year for a broken tooth and was expecting a possible root canal and crown but Dr. Pokorny was able to rebuild what remained for a fraction of the cost of what I was expecting and I have had no further problems. I cannot recommend the entire staff more highly. read more

By family, I mean my family of 4, my one Sister's family of 5, my other Sisters family of three and my Mother. We found Dr Gail and all her wonderful hygienist and staff after searching through several dentists in the Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Cary and Barrington area. She is an exceptional dentist who has an amazing knack for making you feel comfortable and relaxed with every visit. Great staff, everyone is extremely nice. The doctors really know what they are doing and do a great job. Before any work is done, if needed, they layout all costs up front so you know what to expect. They are great with kids as well, my 2 year does awesome when she has seen them. They also are doing a great job with COVID rules. You do a COVID screening over the phone prior to coming in and then they do curbside check in so there isn't more than two people in their lobby at once. They wipe down counters and pens in between each patient and throughly clean rooms between patients as well. I've been going to Cary Grove Dental for over 10 years. They are always kind, courteous, intelligent, and skilled. I believe I receive good dental care from them. I feel listened to and appreciated as a customer. I've known Renee & Dr. Gail for years! I would especially recommend this dentist during COVID-19. They have you wait in your car before coming upstairs. The do a temperature check, make you use hand sanitizer and have you do a mouth rinse. They seem to have extra PPE such as robes and face shields on top of their existing PPE. I truly appreciate the care I've received at this office. I highly recommend it to anyone! read more

Cary Grove dental is the best dental office I have ever been to. When you first walk in the door, the front office girls are so sweet and great at welcoming you to the office. Dr gail is so nice and takes really good care of her patients. If i ever have any question about work tha needs to be done she takes the time and goes over the treatment and options i have. I have been going there for over 3 years and could not be any happier about the treatment i have received. I have seen all three hygienist and all are very kind and gentle. They Are fast and effective. Everyone always welcomes everyone with a smiling face. The dentists are great and they are so nice and funny. There is a treasure chest for the kids after they get a check up and with music playing the time flys as they clean your teeth. First thing when you walk into the office you are warmly greeted. I've been here for 2 appointments and didn't have to wait to be seen. My hygienist Linda was friendly and positive. (How refreshing) She was thorough and gentile on my gums. Dr. Porkorny was very friendly and spent more time reviewing my dental prognosis than any other dentist has in years. Don't procrastinate.
