Doctor Rosalyn and her team took me in as her personal project. She continued to encourage good oral hygiene, and I never felt once that I was being judged for my lack of dental care. I here come after four years, six crowns, six fillings, and four wisdom tooth extractions. I can say I am qualified for a fair review for Crystal Lake Dental Associated. Every time I visit the dentist, I always feel at home. Becky, with her sparkling pink standley mug, greeted me with a big smile when I first walked into the dentist. Crystal, the manager, has helped me several times in answering questions regarding my out-of-pocket cost and assisted me in putting together an estimate of cost for FSA purposes every end of the year. Needless to say, they are the backbone of making a great customer experience for me. Secondly, I have to take some time to highlight the harmonic when the doctor works with the dentist's assistance. I have had the opportunity to be cared for by dentist assistants Barb and Leidy. When Rosalyn worked with Leidy on my teeth, I felt like they were harmonizing a dance. From the exchange of dentist equipment to requesting suction tools for saliva, They complement each other without much conversation; it felt like a well-choreographed dance between Leidy and Rosalyn when they worked together. I was just there for the show; the experience was magical. Last but not least, Doctor Rosalyn takes pride in her work; she is a perfectionist. I went in to take advantage of their $59 special for those without insurance. They took far more x-rays than I expected, some of which I've never had at any dentist office before. It was clear that while I was using a price promotion, they weren't skimping on their services. I was treated just as I would if I had insurance. They were totally understanding when I mentioned that price is important to me and I appreciated when they brought in a specialist who deals with the financial end of things to break down what something would cost without insurance vs with their finance plan. They also weren't offended when I mentioned an alternate route to fix a problem tooth, which I'm grateful for! Overall, I left with a clear idea of what my teeth look like and how healthy they are. Made appointments for each of my children because they needed to…read morehave some teeth pulled before they could start some orthodontic work with a different practice. Made it very clear when I scheduled both appointments that this was the purpose of the appointments. I was also told that they would be contacting our orthodontist to ensure the right teeth would be pulled.Today we arrived for my 8 year old daughter to get her teeth pulled and no one in the office had any idea we were there for an extraction they didn't have nitrous (which I mentioned my daughter would need) and they never contacted the orthodontist so we spent a large amount of time trying to figure everything out just to have to reschedule for another day. After this mistake I wanted them to check my son's appointment for 2 weeks later to ensure that they had their ducks in a row by then. This is when they decided to tell me my sons appointment was scheduled to late in the day for a tooth extraction and they would ask the doctor and get back to us later in the day. Once again I scheduled this appointment only for a tooth extraction and I made that very clear so why was I allowed to schedule that late in the day. We left the office at that point with just a routine follow up and cleaning for my daughter. We had to reschedule her extraction because they didn't have the nitrous I specifically requested be available. A couple of hours later they contacted me saying they could not do my son's extraction that late in the day and I told them they needed to accommodate as I was promised or I would be taking my business elsewhere. The office personnel on the call quickly responded with "I think that would be for the best" and the call ended. I have never been more angry in any patient or customer interaction in my life and I always try and see the other side and give them the benefit of the doubt. I felt this was absolutely ridiculous there was no effort on there part to try and accommodate anything for their employees mistakes. My wife then spent the afternoon contacting other dentist to see if we could get this taken care of asap luckily we found someone quickly so I called morningside dental to have them transfer all the patient info over to the new dentist. I expressed my disappointment again and was met with little to no remorse on the other side. The only two positives from this appointment was the dentist himself was very nice and worked well with my daughter keeping her relaxed and laughing and the dental assistant that cleaned my daughters teeth was very kind, understanding, and the apologetic about the confusion while we were there.
