I had a lot of negative dental experiences growing up and making cleaning appointments has always given me anxiety. Dartmoor Dental is the first place where I actually feel comfortable going. Specifically Becky the dental hygenist was amazing today. After my last experience of being lectured for the majority of the appointment by the hygenist, I left upset and was hesitant to follow through on going to make my next cleaning appointment. I highly recommend reviewing what is being submitted to your insurance company. This error cost me over $1700 due to an office assistant writing I wanted a pretty smile. When in all honesty, they were replacing 14 year old veneers, and of course no insurance will pay for a pretty smile. i also lost the $1700 from my insurance company that was allocated for this expense. In the past when Lucy ran this office, I would've known in advance what was approved and what wasn not. What bothered me the most is, they wouldn't honor their mistake. All they could say is the tech that made the mistake no longer works there. That isn't much help to me. Think twice before going here, or be very careful. read more

I tried to make an appointment with them online. I got a confirmation email that they would be contacting me soon (which should be about 1-2 business days). They never contacted me so I emailed them and they told me they are not open sundays (the day I sent a request in). Which shouldn't matter, you should check your email on the next business day. read more

The wife and I took them up on their free Sonicare offer for new patients. After the visit we were both satisfied with the experience for the most part. The biggest sticking point was that we both felt like the dentist felt more like a salesman than a dentist - suggesting procedures that we weren't quite sure we needed. Now neither my wife or I are dentists so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt in the review and I realize that maybe we could actually benefit from what he suggested but it just felt like we were being pitched. It was an unexpected feeling to have while leaving. I'm so happy with my experience here! My son fell off a chair and split his lip open last night and we needed go to the immediate care. This morning I called to get his tooth checked out because one was loose from the accident. I talked to Kalee at 7:55am and she made and appointment for me for 12:30pm. Then she called me back at 10:44am and said they were running ahead of schedule and we could come earlier. My son is 3 and has never been to the dentist yet so he was nervous and everyone was wonderful with him. Kalee the receptionist let my son come behind the desk and draw pictures. Then the dental assistant Yajaira explained everything to him and I before she did it and helped make him feel so comfortable. She took some X-rays of him and then the dentist came in. We saw Dr. Castro and he explained everything very clearly to my son and I and answered my questions. Luckily it did not have to be pulled and we just have to wait and see if it heals back up by itself or falls out. We will definitely be coming back for a regular appointment when he is all healed up. I also already recommended them to both of my parents who are looking to change offices and my sister and her daughter who is 6 years old. They are great with kids that was abundantly clear. My experience was a joke which is disappointing because I've been going to this dentist office for several years now but won't be going back now. There is a huge lack of communication between the assistants, doctors, and receptionists. I had an appointment I've had to reschedule due to covid so I made sure to call the office two times before I went in on what work I would be having done so we were on the same page which we were on the phone. However, I went to my appointment and I DID NOT have my most serious work done that's been bothering me for years. Dr. Dave said I had a choice of only one issue to be done BUT never told me that before he started working. Then when I asked to have what I needed to have done too he said he had to check his schedule and was rude about it. However, I was scheduled for two appointments that same day to have enough time to get everything done? I decided it was best not to have someone do dental work on me that's going to disrespect me and my time. read more

I had my first visit the other day and was completely blown away! I feel that finding a dentist has been so hard for me in the past because I never felt comfortable and just felt like 'just another patient'. That is not the case here at all! Denise was my hygienist and was absolutely amazing from the start. She explains EVERYTHING before she does something which is comforting. Before you go to your appointment, they have you fill out a patient questionnaire. In the past, I feel that these just get overlooked and not addressed. Denise brought up my concerns I had from the questionnaire immediately and I felt involved in my plan of care and like they are really there to help you. I also met with Dr. Lima who was great! I can't wait to go back to this office (not many people feel that way about their dentist). read more

Every single apt has been great. What a relief to find such PROFESSIONAL, NICE, and GREAT dentists. Let's just start out by saying I HATE going to the dentist. On top of that, I have worlds worst genetics when it comes to the teeth department... I spent a lot of time and money at the dentist. You never know how hard it is to find a good one until you experience some horrific dentists. I have had cavities filled here and a crown. Everyone is very nice and pleasant. They even referred me out to get a root canal- which was the first root canal I had that was done in 15 minutes and 100% pain free. I am a big baby and it was like a miracle root canal. That guy was, by far, the best endodontist (sp?) I have ever seen too. The receptionist here are very kind and respectful. I have been to dentists where they're rude and I think it's extremely important to have good staff. My family has owned a business for 10 years, so I know how hard it is to find good receptionists and front desk staff. I love the hygienists, especially Donna! She's friendly, caring, and gentle. read more
