My husband made appointments for both of us and scheduled a half day off work, etc. The day before…read morethe appointments I received a phone call from a "potential spam" and didn't answer. Less than an hour later I received a text at 4:30 PM stating that my appointment the next day would be canceled because I didn't return a phone call to confirm. I replied to the text immediately stating that I was unaware that there was a condition that I had to confirm the appointment - I am an adult and if I make an appointment I'm going to show up for the appointment unless I cancel without jumping through hoops to confirm. They replied to the text saying that they could reschedule me and would not be seeing me for my scheduled appointment. My husband called and they explained they canceled both of our appointments and we'd have to reschedule. Mind you, he gave them all of his information as our family information when he made the appointment and at the end they asked for my phone number as well - they did not call him to confirm his appointments at all or use the number he gave, but rather only called my phone number. Seems to me like they were overbooked and used this as an excuse because there is no way they filled our noon appointments between 4:38 PM the evening before and 8 AM the next morning. This was our first experience with this practice and can't imagine putting up with this kind of service. We will be telling our referring physician and also anyone we know in the area because when you lose a days work and are inconvenienced to this degree, it's completely unacceptable. As someone in the medical field, this is not standard practice from the practitioner's point of view. As a dental patient with an ortho appointment today 3 hours later than the appointment scheduled with Midwest Integrative Dental Medicine, this didn't happen with them... or with any other provider I've gone to in all these 55 years. Not normal, standard, or okay.

What an awesome staff! I had some major work done by Dr. Parikh and could not be more pleased…read more Sheila greeted me as I walked in and had my file set up in no time, it took less than 10 minutes from the door to the dental chair. Once Dr. Parikh and her assistant got the X Rays done they sat down with me and explained everything that needed done. I knew I would need a full upper denture and they were very careful how they approached the subject. Once we decided on a plan of action I was greeted by Liz the Office Manager. Liz walked me through all the payment options and took my insurance information. She came back in just few minutes with the determination from my insurance company and gave me ideas of how to pay the remainder. I had enough money saved up to cover the rest of the cost so there was no worry about further payments. Once the plan was set Dr. Parikh and her assistant took over and today I got my full upper denture. Dr. Parikh took such great care with getting the mold done correctly and made adjustments to the first mold so it would be a perfect fit. I cannot believe I had 6 teeth pulled today and I'm at my computer writing a great review! It was just a few short weeks to get my dentures. She also did a filling on my lower teeth. I have a smile again, I didn't believe I would ever have one again. I cannot stress enough how much care and compassion I received. I never felt judged, I was never chastised for poor care, I was treated like a King. If you need Dental work done and want the best, head to Dental Works inside Sears at the Washington Square Mall, you won't regret it! Please be patient and understand the whole thing is a process and you have to stick with it if you really want it to work and most importantly WEAR YOUR DENTURE. I've never had to use glue and I have never been without teeth since the process started. But this soft reline was a total game changer. I knew it was going to make my denture fit better but I am BLOWN AWAY. I originally went to this dentistry to get specific work done…read more After a bull story about how you have to get scaling and cleaning done - you end up waiting over a month to get the real work done. This is so the dentistry can pump you and the insurance company for as much money as possible. It's the name of the game in health care today and everyone knows it. Another thing they do is tell you that insurance will cover things that will not be covered. They are completely misleading with a waiver form and they know this. Dr. Church plays that game with patients. He never really fixed the problem I first came in for. So, three visits later and I am still waiting in line to get work done. This is a great example of why the health care system in America is broken. It's all about maximin cash. It's NOT about the patent. So, don't let them push scaling and polishing and all kinds of other routine garbage on you. They gave me a cock and bull story about how scaling will prevent inflection when we do the actual work you wanted, etc. Dr. Church is a bit of a con man if you ask me. He pushes treatment that you may not need. He knows this, but of course will never admit it. Reputable dentists in foreign countries never do this to you!!!

I recently referred my elderly mother to this office, our experience with front staff was once again less than desirable - very disappointing. A dental practice should provide great care AND excellent customer service, but the front desk is failing in that regard. I hope management takes steps to improve this. I do wonder if they would allow their front staff to be this unprofessional if they were located in Carmel or Geist.
