Great selection, average prices, mostly excellent staff and many locations to choose from. I would have given 5 stars but over the past year I've had to look at other smoke shops for fresh stock. It looks like Carytown Tocacco is able to purchase older, expired and consequently weaker efficacies of different products. When wholesalers offer retail outlets outdated product at a discount it must be hard for the retailer to say no. Lower wholesale prices mean an increase in revenue if they savings aren't passed on to the customer. And that's what's been happening. Much weaker products for the customer. Luckily, there are quite a few smoke shops available to find fresher, stronger products. Hopefully Carytown Tobacco won't make this a permanent endeavor. read more

While I was cleaning my room I found two lighters that I had gotten over a decade ago in Taiwan. Neither worked so I looked up the closest tobacco shop and decided to bring them over. The two guys working there today were the nicest- they got one working and told me I had to take the other to an antique shop to get fixed.
