I really wanted some garnachas and was thrilled to see that this place had them in Lynn. We made our way over and sat ourselves down. The server made her way over right away and gave us some waters and the menus. The music was playing loudly and it was a wide variety of music. She took our orders and brought out our drinks. We ended up ordering: 1 plate of garnachas, 1 bistec plate, and 1 side of platanos fritos con crema. Omg I was in heaven eating the garnachas. They were soooo good!! The meat was flavorful and the tortillas had a nice crisp to them. I definitely recommend! The bistec plate was also good but the meat had a lot of fat. I ordered through door Dash from here for the first time ever. The food came right on time with everything packaged neatly and well. I ordered the burrito bravo and pupusa with pork and cheese. In the order, I requested extra cabbage and a homemade hot sauce if they had one available. They followed through on the hot sauce but did not give me more cabbage which was expected. I thoroughly enjoyed the burrito as it had a healthy amount of cheese and the spicy chicken which was very tasty. The side salad was also greatly appreciated as it sounds helped off set the relatively fatty burrito. I thought the pupusa was a little on the dry side but overall wasn't bad. This place definitely needs improvement. My family and I ordered the steak fajitas on two separate occasions, and both times we were disappointed. The dish was filled with carrots, zucchini, broccoli, peppers, and onions, with only a sparse few slices of meat. Additionally, the shrimp I ordered was nowhere to be seen. This is not how fajitas are done--they should mainly consist of meat with onions and peppers. I did not order a vegetarian dish for the price of meat, and it felt like a rip-off. Furthermore, many of the beverages listed on the menu were unavailable, which was quite embarrassing for them. I get my order (which took a while especially since there was only 1 table with 2 people?) but, Ok. No Biggie - Right. I get my to go order, I take a look to make sure everything is good. It Looks & Smells DELICIOUS (so No complaints there) I turn to the host to ask if I can please have some sour cream and guacamole. Now; I did see that none comes on there - So I was more than ready to pay. I turned around for my wallet, with a bunch of singles in my hand. She said $8. **CLEARS THROAT** FOR WHAT? She goes "Yes, it costs". Again, I'm aware of that. So I point to a tip jar next to me; "For that price I should be getting a whole JAR this size not a spoonful. That doesn't sound right, not for 3 tacos". She said "I don't make the rules". I said "Ok, you can go ahead and cancel and refund these tacos". Keep In Mind: That would have been $26+ for 3 TACOS - NEGATIVE!!! So she starts calling the owner to do a refund. Upon coming in; I let him know the problem for the refund. This spot is such a hidden gem! My husband and I found this place on Yelp and decided to try it out. The shrimp ceviche was some of the best we've ever had. The margs were perfect - not too sweet. The decor lacks some pizazz but other than that, a great experience. We will be back! read more

Ended up coming to this place based on results from yelp for a restaurant within my location. Casa antigua it was, and it did not disappoint. Place was very well decorated, waiter was very attentive, and it was clean. I had garnachas which is a traditional Guatemalan dish and it was pretty good. I asked for a mango juice in milk which was mostly foam, so I felt it was not cost worthy. The rest of our party was happy with meals. Worthwhile checking it out. I took a star off because the only large table is next to the door, and every time someone walked in or out, we got hit with the draft. SO good! Really fabulous prices too. We found this place on a whim and got two dishes - both were excellent. Guac was fresh and salsa had some kick to it. The chef makes an effort to do a good job, everything was fresh, flavorful and a bit unusual; which made for an interesting meal. I had a "special carne enchilada", that was marvelous. The meat was flavorful, tender and - beefy! It was not ground meat, but rather fairly thick slices that were carefully prepared. The seasoning was described as spicy, and seemed more on the flavorful side than actually hot. We requested and got some special sauce (perhaps dry mustard seed, sour cream and a dash of vinegar) that really helped bring out the flavors. I think I just got the wrong thing. The banana milkshake was fantastic. The pupusa with pork was bland but nice. For a meal, I ordered the Cream Chicken with rice. The rice was nice and the sauce had flavor but the chicken was very dry and lacked any taste. I got the Tres Leches cake and it was fine. The problem there is that I know where to get the best Tres Leches cake in the entire world and I just need to stop ordering it when I'm out as nothing will meet it. This is somewhere I suggest anyone to go to be introduced to Guatemalan cuisine as well as other Central American food. Every dish is great. My go to is the Ceviche Camaron or the steak which is thin and tender with a ton of flavor. My kids usually get the pupusas or quesadilla. The Atol de elote is sweet and delicious. Another thing you have to try is the Horchata which was a favorite all around the table. Sopa de Res was so flavorful and authentic. And the door opens a lot because people are delivering take out. The other issue we had was the service. The server was helpful when she was around, but she seemed very content to just let us sit there waiting for long stretches of time. And this continued even when the crowd had died down. The food took an eternity. Maybe it was all the take out going out that was getting ahead of our order but either way the wait was ridiculous. The food we did get had a few tasty items. Ordered for delivery and the driver did not ring the bell, he did call me but I was told the order would take 40-50 minutes so I left my phone while cleaning the kitchen, but never heard the bell. I called back to the restaurant and the girl who answered the phone was rude, not only then but even when I placed my ordered she gave me an attitude and responded in a high tone of voice. I called the delivery driver 3 times and never got a call back, and I was told by the restaurant I was going to be charged more if he came back, I even offered to go get the order and she again gave me an attitude. Most likely the food is good but when it comes to customer service this is a one star, I take responsibility for my part of not having my phone and I obviously I had the intention of tipping him more but there was a bell working and there was no reason for the negative attitude and high tone from the girl on the phone, patience is a virtue and for those in the restaurant business is a must have one. read more

The fajitas had vegetables that typically don't go with fajitas, there was broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, and it was all in about two inches of oil,which turned our stomachs.
