So, the maids and chef would already be inside the unit without you even knowing it. But, they were all so friendly and courteous to make sure they weren't disturbing us. Bedrooms were all great - the a/c really cooled the rooms down and got rid of the humidity. Showers in the rooms took some getting used to in terms of adjusting the water temps. Very spacious kitchen that was fully stocked. Pool was beautiful, though it ran pretty cold in June. Very nice dining and living room areas. The patio was really nice - that's where we probably spent most of our time. Plenty of seating areas around the pool as well. The beach was just down the stairs. Our daughters had fun watching all the hermit crabs and playing in the waves. The water was surprisingly warm! Kitchen staff (Cesar and Maragarita) were outstanding and cooked some amazing meals - they worked to accomodate our young kids as well (mac n cheese, pasta, horchata, etc). Juan - the house manager - was personable and helpful. He helped arranged transportation, massages and suggested outings (we did a fun boat excursion, including snorkling). Rooms were cleaned daily and our personal laundry was done too. The very open-air house leads to lots of bugs and humidity. Prepare for some potential visitors in your room. We even had a crab make it into ours! Overall a top-notch stay that was a perfect fit for our summer family vacation.

It was the perfect location to meet our needs of a large family gathering that was easy to get to and close to local towns where we could explore. There are so many things that we loved about this property and we can't wait to get back again! There's a little something for everyone from games, hammocks, to cooking in the wonderful and authentic cocina. The spaciousness of the home, accommodations to meet our large group needs and openness would be hard to meet anywhere else. The kids of course loved the pool, we couldn't get them out! As far as the staff we saw the property manager on our first day, he walked through everything with my husband and was readily available when we arrived to show us up to the place. He responded quickly if anything arose during our stay. The cleaning staff was really great. Above and beyond tending to cleaning and tidying up for us. Everyone was super friendly and we felt safe and secure on the property. I wish we would have been able to experience the chef services but we chose to do our own cooking as most of our family is local to Mexico and are some of the most amazing cooks! But I am certain any chef services would have been great as when we arrived we were greeted with some tasty Guacamole and Pico de gallo. Since our stay was pretty short and we were more focused on family time we didn't partake in any of the available adventures but hopefully will do that next time. We explored Lo de Marcos (closest to the property, small, the beach is fun), San Pancho (my favorite of all the towns, cool hippy town like Saylulita but close and fun), Guayabitos and La Penita (we like the restaurants and shopping here). two of which my husband and I have been to several times. We enjoyed the diverse and differences of each town. We felt safe and relaxed on our stay and hope to return again. Working with the home owner prior, during and after our stay was wonderful and professional. The house is beautiful and we look forward to returning soon. Tip- Get your groceries at one of the big super markets in Nuevo Vallarta on your way to the Property. There are some small markets in a few of the towns near but it's best to shop on your way.

The daily cleaning staff and the property manager were absolutely the best. The villa is perched up on a hill about 10 minutes from the beach. You can see the ocean from the villa. Villa Boda is easy to get to from the airport. And there are several big supermarkets along the way to shop for groceries. We've been to Puerto Vallarta several times but this time we wanted to venture North, away from all the tourists and we're glad we did. The beaches are either empty or just a few people, locals on holiday and a few tourists. There were plenty of fun activities to do in the area. We rented a high clearance car from Hertz and it was very easy to get around (some of the smaller towns have dirt roads). We are considering coming back with both our entire families for a family reunion. In addition to Villa Boda there are currently two other villas for rent.

One of the many reasons i tend to avoid local hotels, and would rather stick to my mega brands like Hilton. There is also what appears to be a very loud night club of a hotel called "Concha's Chinas sunset view". It's directly behind the hotel and blaring music until after 1AM. This looks to be new, but super annoying. No reviews talked about this. Would not stay here again.

What I got was a…read moretotal mess. * I wasn't given room keys for several hours after check-in. * Staff tried to come in and clean the windows after I had already checked in--why wasn't that done beforehand? * There was NO hot water the entire time I was there, even though I reported it repeatedly. * The Smart TV in the master bedroom didn't work. * I found a hair in the refrigerator, and there were dead bugs all over the suite--completely disgusting. * While preparing food, I noticed hundreds of tiny translucent bugs on the kitchen counter that I could barely see--absolutely unacceptable. * The final straw? A worker was outside my windows while I was getting dressed--a total invasion of privacy. * On top of everything, I felt like I was in prison because you can't leave the hotel without a worker letting you out. It was scary and weird. This stay was chaotic, dirty, and handled with zero professionalism. Management clearly didn't care. For the price, this place is an absolute joke. Do not waste your money here. You're better off anywhere else!
