I visited early morning looking for a breakfast spot and ordered table service for the sweets and a latte. The food and service was ok. The portion sizes were quite good and filling.

Can get very busy as this is located on touristy Rua da Augusta but this is the only place I would say to stop at on this road. But they offer so many options and I do love their de nata and the Travesseiros de Sintra here. Both very crispy if that is what you prefer like I do. Note: it may look busy with people standing around, most just looking but you choose what you want from any employee at the counters and they add the totals to a plastic card and hand you the box full of goodies, then you take that card to the cashier off to the side up front for her to scan it , then you pay. Easy in and out. Just make eye contact and tell them what you want. Ps. This review is for the named pastry shop. Not sure why some of the (bad) reviews about this place are for a restaurant. It's only a pastry shop

This is a very good place to enjoy custard tarts as well as a variety of baked goods. Niki especially enjoyed the sweet rolls with Carmel cream inside.

Don't remember what we ordered, it was good

Stopped for a meal while touring. Don't recall what we ordered but it was delicious and different. Therefore we loved it.

The first day we arrived in Lisbon, I could not wait to try grilled sardines. We went to a restaurant near by our hotel and ordered grilled sardines and cuttle fish. The sardines were fishy and had guts in it. After this experience I was hesitant to try the sardines again. Asked a few places if they can removed the guts before grilling them but all of them said they do not clean the sardines before grilling. I came by this place and decided to try the sardines one more time. The server said their sardines are very fresh. Well, I was not disappointed. They tasted very fresh and I enjoyed them very much. My husband also enjoyed his grilled cod. We had excellent meals and had cream custard with little cinnamon sprinkles on top for dessert. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

Pasteis du Bacalau and what looks like samosas but Portuguese version?

Casa Brasileira was closed for renovations and they opened only last day in Lisbon. While walking in the market square, I took advantage! They are very busy so he prepared to be patient and wait. I never understood why people will vent on social media about a business being busy. Wait your freaking turn!! Anyways, I got a few Portuguese pastries, Pasteis du Bacalau and what looked to me like samosas only a Portuguese version. Asked them to warm up my food, €5 for 4 pastries. Can't go wrong with that. Yummy! So glad I came here on my last day.

A great selection of pastries. Prices are very reasonable compared to Europe. If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying them.

Made a quick stop for some coffee and Pastéis de Nata. Both really hit the spot, however it definitely wasn't a quick stop. They were busy, so it's understandable that service was a little slower than expected. Would definitely come back here again.

    Morning fruit intake. Papaya juice.

The way they make fresh orange juice in Europe is different than in the U.
