There pastel da nata was pretty good. The egg custard was soft and gooey. The puff pastry was crispy and flaky. This is probably the 2nd best pastel da nata in Portugal. The dusting of cinnamon was very good as well.
This is the first pasty shop that we tried Portugal egg tart from. The line is long but moved quite fast. There is a window where they display how their hearts are made. We ordered four Portugal egg tarts and two drinks to try. The restaurants has plenty of tables and seats and is very spacious. Their tarts are small which I liked and the custard looked burned but it is not and it is creamy and sweet.
Looking for a Portugal treat... stop! Get the pasteis de nata! And some port. A bargain at 3.9 euros! Port is sweet and just a little burn in the back of the throat to wash down your custard tart. Enjoy!
Hands down, the best pastel de nata in Lisbon--Period. We fully committed to the research--sampling at least four spots a day (a tough job, but someone had to do it)--and somehow kept circling back to this place. Why? Because the tarts come out hot, fresh, and straight-up addictive--Truly the Krispy Kreme of pastel de nata. Yes, we were those people who packed up boxes and flew them 4,000 miles back home... and yes, they were STILL incredible after a quick spin in the air fryer. That flaky crust, that custardy center They're sweet on their own, but if you absolutely pile on the cinnamon --Chef's kiss. Pure perfection.
Found this place on a food tour in Lisbon and it quickly became one of my favorite stops each day. The bakery items are great but the tarts are amazing! You can get them everywhere, of course, but these are the best I've had. Each table has cinnamon and sugar that you can dust on top. Service was great each time I went and the café itself is very big and spacious with plenty of space. Highly recommend!
Located in the heart of the Restauradores area, it's so easily accessible and within walking distance of a lot of places. It is both metro- able and bus-able. Highly recommend if you wanna try this one as a location for pastel de nata. Interior wise, there's also a lot of fun things going inside. You can watch the Baker as he bakes the pastries, you can look at the top of the ceiling where there's trays flying around, or you can also look at the back area with a huge mosaic. It's a really fun, and there's a lot of seating in the back. I will say that this place gets really busy, and there was probably at least 50+ people between the 20 minutes that I was inside the store. English is not a problem for them, and I had no problem ordering as an English tourist. It's also very quick. It's an in and out situation where they were just hand you the food. Otherwise, though you can have the choice of coffee or drinks or food. They have a lot of different things to offer here. It is definitely worth a try.
When in Portugal you must try their Pasteis de nata. These decadent egg tarts have custard filling that melts in your mouth. The shop is a bakery/cafe/bar. I have never seen a bakery/dessert shop serving up some alcohol. I can definitely get used to this. You can order at the counter or the self serve kiosk. They use a machine to take the cash and give you change. I ordered 2 Pasteis de nata and 1 ham and cheese quiche. Every bite was made in heaven. I am definitely buying some to take home for family. They also have some freshly made sandwiches, spinache and cheese quiche and veal croquettes. This place in the famous Avenue de Libertade commercial area.
THE BIG: This location is in the prime location right outside of the Monumento dos Restauradores. Big interior that stretches far inside. You can even watch them making the pastel de natas. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here searching for the best pastel de nata in portugal. At this time, we've had about 4 from 4 different shops. This one was by far the best so far. We ordered one pastel de nata and one veal croquette. I didn't know what to expect from the croquette but it was very meaty and deliciously fried. The pastel de nata was very creamy and eggy. The perfect combo. There is a line, but it goes fast. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done here was around 5 Euro for the egg tart and the veal croquette. Very good and highly recommend.
Nice sit-down place. Very good pastel de Maya's. Be sure to put the powdered sugar on them! Excellent post wine as well. We went here on a food tour but definitely make sure you go on your own if you want to sit and have a break.
Best cafe in the area! The vibe, service and pastries. Pastéis de Nata, one of the famous must try in Portugal! Was 10/10! Will be here again to get a box! Amazing!
Awesome... We've never had those pastries de nata before... wow, real yummy! We enjoyed their's, but enjoyed the pastry shop next door to our Hotel a bit better.
One of my favorite spots to get pastel de natas! You can order 1, a sleeve or go for a combo with port. Their pastel de natas are creamy, custard-y and very flaky. I like mine with a little cinnamon. I also tried a veal croquettes and it was super delicious. If there's a long line, it typically goes quickly. Highly recommend!
This was my favorite of all of the Pasteis de Nata that I ate while I was in Lisbon. The dough is beautifully buttery and yet flaky. The filling is amazing with a warming cinnamon flavor. The staff is extremely friendly and more than happy to walk you through their offerings (they have sandwiches, coffee, and even ginja). They also have a larger seating area upstairs if the cafe on the ground level gets too crowded. Highly recommend grabbing a Nata from here with a cup of coffee!
Memories from my first solo travel experience from 2022 brought me here! Fábrica da Nata foi incrível! 29/07/2022 As tortinhas estavam simplesmente divinas. O atendimento foi excelente e tambem as bebidas estavam deliciosas I fell in love with their egg tarts were simply divine! If I could, I would have taken some more with me while exploring! Service was top notch and the ambiance was relaxing! Ahhh, I haven't found any stateside that measures up to them. read more

OMG !!! We did a walking food tour around Lisbon, and this was our last stop. OMG !!! The custard tart was to die for. Delicious. A perfect way to end the food tour. OMG !!! read more
Bacadillo/Bifana Meal - 8/10 I got a sandwich, drink, and pastel de nata all for less than €10 (even gas station food in the US is more expensive and the quality is subpar). This was a very yummy sandwich and super filling too. The mayo/aoili sauce was the star of the show and really brought everything together. The baguette and sandwich toppings were super fresh too. read more

Located in the heart of Lisbon,in a century-old building, here " The" cream custard tart is the Hero. Recommend to try at least one a day. And all offer was set around the factory star, with breakfast, lunch and snack options. Let yourself be tempted by custard tarts , from Fabrica da Nata, finished out of the oven, made in his view, warm , sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar.You will not be able to stay only for one. read more
Unpopular belief or not, this was my favorite chain nata place. The tarts are flaky with an interior that isn't as sweet as other places and tastes slightly more eggy. The consistency and taste is really delicious and not just an overly sweet tart as compared to other shops. We purchased them to take home. They last up to 3 days per the store. read more
Jaw droppingly good pastel da natas. We will be coming back here before the end of our trip to Lisbon because it was that good. We ordered the #2 which came with a ham/cheese croissant, cafe latte, and a pastel da nata. I also ordered an additional two pastel da natas knowing I'd be hungry without them. Service was fast and we were able to grab a seat outside right next to the bakery. The combo was the perfect amount of food to fill you up, and the pastries are so delicious you could just continue eating them if you had them. I mean just look at how delicious the camera makes them seem. The latte was top tier as well. Overall a great experience and I dont think you'll be disappointed coming here! read more
The first pastéis de natas of our trip was at Fábrica da Nata. They have multiple locations in Lisbon along with Sintra and Porto. We dropped in on a late Monday evening (8:30pm). The inside is massive along with plenty of outdoor tables. Service is quick and efficient. Besides natas, they also have sandwiches and drinks. Puzzled why when you buy 6 natas (6,90€), you only save 0,30€. - 3x Pastel de nata (1,20€ each) - ate one and saved two for later. Natas weren't too sweet but had a nice creamy filling. Slightly over caramelized in a few spots. read more
Stoked they have Yelp in Portugal. The front desk referred us to this "custard factory" for our first meal on a real vacation. It has been so.... Long This is a model of service, efficiency and quality. Enjoyed coffee, OJ, baguette with smoked ham and custard x 4. This custard is so unique with a croissant like crust and sweet creamy middle. The restaurant is air conditioned inside and quaint, with plenty of outside seating. We left the stifling Texas August 105F heat for Lisboa and on arrival it is 100F! With Gods grace the rest of the week's forecast looks good. read more
We are in Portugal vacationing and we know a thing or two about Portuguese food. My husband is Portuguese so we know our food.. We have eaten at Fabrica deNata for the past 4 days! OMG their pastel de natas are to die for! I will be so sad going back to USA because I will not have my delicious natas! They are full of flavor, the nata is so sweet and creamy! We have been to their stores in Belem, Sinatra and Lisbon! And yes before you ask I have tasted their competition!! Service is quick and everyone is very pleasant. In Lisboa you can sit outside and enjoy the view of Avenida de Libertad! I will have to figure out how I can come back and eat them often!! The coffee is great and we also had some croquette de Bacalao! Also delicious and full of flavor!!! read more
Excellent breakfast! We were early for our morning tour, so we decided to get breakfast. Fábrica da Nata was right there, so we walked in and got some espresso, a latte, and a couple of pastries. The coffee drinks were perfect, as were the pastries. As it turned out, we had to repeat the above scenario a few days later. On our second visit, we tried a couple of sandwiches and two veal croquettes. They were all delicious. I have no idea how they make something as simple as a ham and cheese sandwich so tasty! The veal croquettes were so good that I went back for another one! The highlight of our eating experience was having their Nata! Their Natas are amongst the top two we had in our two weeks traveling in Portugal. So if you are in Restauradores Square in Lisbon, look up Fábrica da Nata for a quick bite or coffee. read more
Out of the many Pastel de nata places we tried in Lisbon, this was possibly the best. Perfect combination of a flaky crust that was the right thickness, sweetness and softness of the egg custard crème center. Their cappuccino and other drinks were also well made. There was a sign for de nata gelato but we did not get a chance to try. Perfect packaging of you're picking up to bring home. read more
Had to try all the Natas in town to discern who has the best. The cafe is beautiful inside but often busy. Honestly, this was my least favorite pastel de nata in town, and only because it had a milk consistency and also super sweet. I felt like I was eating sweetens condensed milk and egg poured in a pastry cup. I did like the interior and the coffee was pretty good, but I felt the coffee was watered down. I found other cafes that I preferred, but it is a place to check out to see if you like it read more

I enjoy custard tarts, probably a bit too much to be honest. I prefer the tarts in Porto to much of what you find in Lisbon but here they are the best in the area, if not the best in town in my opinion. They are flaky, sweet but not too sweet with just the right amount of char. I before I left for the airport I got up early and bought 3 boxes. I flew home, wrapped two together face to face in foil. When I want to eat a pair I put them in the oven at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Just like I remember....... . read more
Seems like a pretty popular spot for these traditional Portuguese pastries. Very cute little bakery. We got our pastry with ice cream, a coffee, and a ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Everything was pretty tasty. I feel like I need to try the pasty again, however bc the ice cream overpowered it a little. Other than that we enjoyed everything. read more
The servers were very friendly! The food was amazing! We ordered shrimp (very fresh, noodles were delicious), bolognese (noodles were very bouncy), and tomato (sauce was very flavorful). Order tiramisu, hands down the best tiramisu we've tasted so far! Very creamy! The place is very cozy! We would move to Portugal for this tiramisu! Would recommend coming here again! read more

Delicious and creamy custards! It was not #1 but was still very tasty and something I would eat all the time if I could. Has the perfect crunch, creamy custard and tasted very good. Service was great and you can choose to eat inside or outside. Do not skip on adding the cinnamon and powdered sugar on top. They also sold fancy egg tarts with different toppings on top but I stuck with the original and have zero regrets. read more

The Nata bread was good but we had the avocado toast it wasn't good at all, food was served cold and bread was stale. The Coffee is OK. For the price is not worth it. read more

Someone told us about this before we came to Portugal so I had name and picture in hand ready for a search. As luck would have it the bakery was 5 doors down from our hotel! Prior to getting here we've already tried a whole list of places between Porto and Lisbon for Nata tart and even got the 411 on the history of them. Nothing prepared me for the first bite of their pastels de Nata and several other delectable pastries. Beer rib croquettes, ham and cheese tart(really like quiche) are a few other favourites. I can't eat another pastels de Nata from anywhere anymore..... read more
