Every time he showed us a place he made it worth our while, by lining up multiple locations and providing a book that included all of the information on each location. We are new to the San Diego area, so it was great to get his advice as to which area he would stay away from. We looked all over San Diego County from Chula Vista all the way to Oceanside and as far east as Ramona. He really took his time and tried to find us the perfect home. We ended up going into escrow on a condo with some past "water damage." When Michael asked the homeowners to provide us information of the work that should have been done, they replied back with anger and started to argue with Michael. Michael quickly returned to us and explained what happened and suggested that we retract our offer. Clearly they were trying to cover up some major damage that they did not take care of. After a lot of hunting we found the place we wanted! It was highly sought after and had 11 bids within the first 3 days, including ours. Michael had previously worked with the listing agent, so he was able to use his charm and good standing to push our bid to the top, even over a cash bid! The other realtor wanted to work with him because he had a good reputation. After closing escrow, he negotiated house repairs and got us an amazing deal, far beyond what we were expecting. We also wanted to have some construction done on the home, so he got us in touch with the contractor. He even met with the contractor at our new home to show him what we wanted because we had to work. Talk about going above and beyond! We have moved in and LOVE our new home, can't wait to invite him and his family over for dinner! We can't thank Michael enough for everything.

I…read morethought it would be a quick 3 minute recap; however it took me a little bit longer than expected. Not that I don't have anything to say, I just want to make sure to give her proper credit for being such an amazing real estate agent. In this hot real estate market, information is king; and Emerald is extremely skill at moving and accessing information. Anybody can go to Zillow or Redfin to search for properties; however Emerald able to get our first dip in properties/listing that not yet available to the public and sometimes other agents. I would say 3 out 4 properties that she was showing to us fall into that category. As the result, we are able to find our dream home and Emerald was able to help us negotiate the price and sign our contract after 2 weeks. Regarding accessibility, Emerald is great at getting back to us no matter how late it was. She is also a walking Angie List / Yellow Pages with incredible connection to any home-related professions. She also attended every single inspections during escrow and even let us skipped out on couple of them. It was a nice to be able to take a mini 2 days vacation with my wife during this time. She made us feel like we are her number one client. If you are a first time home buyer and with Emerald, you will become an experience, savvy buyer. And if this is not your first time, you will be glad of how much easier it is for you compare to your previous buying experiences. We went to the open house on the property we needed up buying and inquired on it a day later. She told us she'd work with us in lowering the price a couple of thousand dollars if we hired her as our agent so as to offset the cost to her sellers. We agreed to it, were already approved through a lender but went through hers as well and it was a fairly smooth process since she was representing us both. Heard from her once more after emailing her a question while working to get insured. Brand new to SD/ Chula Vista and had to figure out utilities on our own. Fine since we've bought a home before in another state and had to figure it there as well. Side note to agents if any are actually reading feedback: make a list of what's available in the area for your buyers. It's a nice touch and will be remembered. Fast forward a year later. We have to relocate again out of state and are selling our home decided not to use Emerald and have discovered the city doesn't have the needed permits. We have emailed, called left messages for Emerald and have not heard back weeks later. Hence us leaving this review. Big believer in if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all but this all just feels very wrong. Emerald- shame in you for not disclosing important information while selling us the house and now more shame to you for refusing to speak with us. Money comes and goes but I doubt you will be successful in any part of life conducting business this way. Unethical and just poor manners. Hope this review helps fix your business' short comings.
