My wife and I just had lunch here, two entree salads, nothing too hard to prepare. The greens were wilted. That aside, the young man who served us was very courteous. The lady at the front reception area however was very rude, not only to the customers, but also to the wait staff. Stunningly, it turns out she is one of the owners. We will never be back.. I was a bit disappointed in my last dinner here. I had a taco, chile relleno and tamale plate with beans and rice. Everything tasted OK, except the plate had three different temperatures, which made me feel like the food was not fresh. The beans were colder than anything else. The margarita was good. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. This mediocre eating experience was a bummer, because I had eaten here a couple years ago, and it was much better. The happy hour is good. Try it out and get some bar food, and see if the score goes up. read more

Food was decent; service was terrible. The hosts and hostesses did all the work that the waitress was supposed to do, and she wasn't even that busy. If you can't handle that many tables, don't take them. We waited thirty minutes for our check. read more

Love the tacos ! Great authentic mexican food !

This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. We enter to the hostess glued to her stool. To the left is probably one of the most depressing bars I have ever seen. Dark, dingy, and full of sad faces. We really inconvenienced the hostess by choosing this establishment because she had to leave her perch. She actually only walked 3 steps then handed me the menus and silverware and said "go wherever you want". After 10 minutes we finally got chips and salsa (Old El Paso I believe). We ordered queso for an appetizer... Which never came. When I told the waiter this as he brought our meals he said "oh no it's better this way they're making the chorizo"..... It arrived 10 minutes after the meals... so much for "appetizer". The queso tasted like Rotel and Velveeta with some mystery meat.... and an awful chunky texture. The meals were bland... Flavorless. To sum it up... I'd choose Taco Bell any day over this place. read more

My husband and I have been to Casa Corona before with my father in law for supper and it was delicious. After that first visit we decided to try it again. We were seated immediately which was nice, drink order taken immediately and chips with salsa in front of us right away. I ordered the Chicken Taco Salad while my husband ordered the cheese quesadilla and the steak nachos. After we ordered the waiter took my husband's glass to refill with ice tea but didn't bring back the glass until after he brought us our food. I noticed from the get go that my taco salad wasn't going to be great. It had a pool of water around the rim of the taco salad; someone forgot to drain the chicken off before putting it into the shell. Okay, I can live with that I just won't eat the soggy bottom. I started to pull everything apart and eating. There was absolutely no taste in the chicken in fact I asked my husband a couple of times did I order pork or chicken? He insisted I order chicken. My husband's meal was less than satisfying. His cheese quesadilla was literally swimming in grease and what looked to be water. He literally picked up the plate and 'drained' the grease onto the other plate to even taste his quesadilla. His steak nachos were completely soggy and sitting on top was over an inch of thick melted cheese that had a hard topping aka been sitting under the heat lamp a little too long. There was barely any meat in the nachos and the meat that was there had no flavor. Our waiter was okay, took his time with everything it seemed almost as though he was annoyed that we were in his section. When I asked for the bill and the manager he immediately asked me what was wrong and I explained how our meal was and he immediately began making excuses for why the food was the way it was and argued with me for well over 5 minutes about the food. After repeating several times I wanted to see a manager in a nice voice I got what most people would call the stern mommy voice and said yet again I want to see the manager. He went to get the manager and then kept coming back to the table several times before the manager showed up to try and explain the food yet again. The manager was very nice and I understood the explanation of why the taco salad was soggy since yes, I know you cook the meat in water and I understand they didn't drain it but there was no taste to the meat at all. The manager ripped our bill up and apologized which I appreciated and explained several times over that we had no problem paying for our meal after all we had ordered it however I wanted them to know how it was. Overall I think we'll try the restaurant once again before we leave this town but it will not be in our top 10 picks of restaurants. read more

The service is OK, and the food is OK, although the chile rellenos are nowhere near authentic. As a local resident, I was willing to patronize the restaurant occasionally until Jan 11, 2014. They were hosting a loud party, complete with microphone and amplified speakers, which ruined everyone else's dining experience. As I stood at the cash register waiting to pay, the cashier (the owner's wife, I think) behind the counter ignored me. She looked straight at me and then walked away to check the food at the buffet. One of the waiters pointed me out to her, at which point she casually returned to the cash register and asked very UNenthusiastically, "May I help you?" When I stated that I had been waiting to pay when she walked away the first time, she went ice cold. She threw my change at my hand, and some of it fell on the counter. I have never been treated that rudely by restaurant staff anywhere. Her rudeness guaranteed that I will never be back. read more
