Disappointed. I ordered online to pay at the restaurant. 1) The bill was supposed to be $56.77. When I got there i paid with my card and they charged me $67.61, more than $10 different and it wasn't due tip. I know everywhere they charge you 3% more if you pay with card instead of cash, but it was 19% more. 2) I got a burrito and it was 2/3 the size of a burrito from chipotle for the same price and the food was as salty. 3) I got the combo meal but the fajita didn't come with the wrap nor did I get my drink. I won't come here again. If the food is good I won't mind the higher cost, but they need to be transparent about it. But the food was ok (don't like how salty it was) and the unethical regarding the lack of transparency with the charges is making me not wanting to come back. read more

We were looking for a place to eat lunch in Ridgecrest. We usually stop at classic burgers but this time we decided to go for some Mexican food. Wednesdays are the best day to visit this restaurant since they have tacos for $1.49 a piece all day on Wednesdays as they're special. We were just lucky enough to be there on a Wednesday so we swung in and had some tasty tacos I had the Carnitas tacos which were delicious note that these are street tacos so they are a little on the small side but well worth the money great service from the staff there we had the nicest server I think her name is Sylvia. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Ridgecrest any day of the week, but especially on Wednesday. read more

When we drove up we thought the restaurant was closed, it sure looked that way with the drab exterior. We sat inside and the waitress brought us some fresh chips and salsa which we devoured. This was our first time visiting here, and we decided to go inside for lunch today and we enjoyed it. The young lady that served us was quick and personable. Kept our drinks refilled and when we asked questions didn't act like we were wasting her time. I had the chicken enchilada combo made with green sauce. It had a decent kick to it. The tortillas were fresh and the whole dish tasted delicious. My husband had the beef enchiladas with the green sauce and he also enjoyed it. Although he likes his food just a tad spicier, he said it had a good kick to it. I have to say I didn't like their Jamaica sadly, it was soooooooo sweet! I like mine with just a touch of sweetness. I hate being the one to leave a bad review amongst a lot of good reviews but my first experience at Oasis was just not pleasant. I was working in Ridgecrest on Friday and found Oasis on Yelp when I was looking for some lunch, everything looked good so I dropped in. The waitress was very attentive but she was the only one working front of house and it was pretty busy in there so she was running around a lot, good on her for keeping up with everything solo. Now onto the food which was a big letdown. The salsa was lackluster. It was very tomato forward and not a lot of other flavor, I added some salt and it helped. The chips were alright but didn't taste super fresh. I had the 2 enchiladas plate and it definitely wasn't what I was expecting. The enchiladas were very lightly sauced and then I think grilled? It ended up drying up all the sauce making for a very dry bite and not much cheese in the enchiladas either. They added a little sour cream on top and then dropped about 2 huge handfuls of lettuce on top for some reason. I had to scrape all the lettuce off to even get to the extremely dry enchiladas. Rice and beans were alright, well cooked, needed a dash of salt. Overall it just wasn't a good experience, didn't enjoy the food. There are other options in Ridgecrest, I'll explore those next time I'm in town. read more

What a find! In a repurposed fast food venue it is a fantastic quick service Mexican restaurant with a small dine in space. . I had a chicken chimichanga. It was cooked perfectly with flaky crust and well seasoned chicken served with freshly made guacamole and sour cream. My wife had the chicken quesadillas. Fajita chicken with cheese, peppers and onions. My daughter had the combination fajita dinner and loved it. I sampled the red and green peppers and they were very good. Service was quick and friendly. Refilled drinks quickly. Restroom clean. A perfect small Mexican restaurant that i highly recommend. read more

Food was subpar, don't expect food that taste anything close to what a Mexican restaurant should taste like. Very bland and tasteless, kind of like hospital food. What really annoyed me was a Doordarshan order I made. I never received my orchata drink, I asked for napkins and forks and didn't received those so ate my rice and beans with fingers at the hotel. Stopped here for dinner in the evening based on other people's' reviews. I got a Chile relleno plate and also a chicken enchilada. The Chile relleno was really good, probably one of the best I've had, and the rice and beans were pretty good too. The enchilada sauce was good, so was the tortilla, but they garnished it with lettuce which I wasn't fond of, and the chicken was over cooked and hard to eat; I ate the tortilla but did not finish the chicken. My boyfriend ordered the steak ranchero; same problem here, meat was over cooked and was also not seasoned at all. Service was good, but the inside of the restaurant was very cold. While getting our tires fixed, this restaurant was recommended to us. They have a phenomenal burrito, and their jalapeno sauce is really really good. The burrito has a flaky / crispy but soft tortilla. The meat was well marinated and flavourful, and the distribution of the other ingredients was on point so that every bite had a little of something. Got the nachos too, which were good, but that burrito. haha ate it so fast, forgot to take a picture Highly highly recommended. We came here for dinner! I was craving tacos, and after reading the reviews we dicided on coming here. The carne asada was juicy. My tacos delicious. I was happy to have a side salad as a choice. I am not a beans person. Lol. We also ordered Nachos Fries which was delicious. The horchata was very good and original. No powder crap! Legit Mexican yumminess! Came here for lunch before driving back home. We had one combo special, chili relleno which comes with a drink, rice and beans. We chose horchata (rice based drink) and on Friday, Saturday and Sunday they also served Birria which is not very clear in the menu (a typo on the menu so it reads barrio) There's only one server on the floor. She was friendly, informative and quick on her toes. Chips are fresh and salsa is good. The creamy green salsa in the squeeze bottle is probably their specialty. Chili relleno is light and fresh. Rice and beans are classic flavors that we would find in Mexico. Birria is solid! Like most of the places in US, theirs is beef base. You can order in three different ways and I choose soup as those broth is what makes Birria so good. It taste seriously like homemade Birria from a grandma lol! While we are enjoying our lunch, all kinds of customers trickled in... from the military base, construction workers, people who wear badges. This is obviously a local joint and it gets busy during meal time. If anyone comes to Ridgecrest you should give this joint a try. read more

We tried this restaurant for some breakfast food on our trip to Death Valley. They are open around 9 AM. Everyone was wearing mask and following protocols. We tried huevos rancheros, French toast and breakfast burrito with potato and beans. The sauce in huevos rancheros was super delicious and beans, rice were tasty too. This is probably the best Mexican restaurant in town. To start they bring complementary chips with 2 different sauces, 1 mild and 1 medium. The chips are warm and fried to perfection. Both salsas are good but I like the medium better because is soooooooo good and it has this kick. Their birria is delicious and it reminds me of the one my mom cooks. The meat was so soft and the juice is so yummy, they use the right amount of spices. My hubby had the menudo which was also good but I prefer the birria. The homemade corn tortillas are a little too thick for my taste but that's just me. Another thing is that they take quite a while to bring your food out. If you're too hungry do not go there thinking they will serve you ASAP lol. This place surprised me to be honest, will definitely come back for more :) read more

I have never had issues with Oasis before. I DoorDash frequently because of my busy work schedule. I didn't receive an item on my order because they didn't give it to the dasher. Probably one of the best meals I've had in Ridgecrest... which isn't really saying much. The $1 tacos are pretty great. I got the carnitas, chicken, and asada. The asada was super salty for some reason. The carnitas had a nice flavor and the chicken was pretty normal. The chips are alright but the green sauce. Everyone comes here for the green sauce. I felt like one of the ingredients of the sauce is super... heavy. It's like a nice savory / umami sauce which is slightly spicy. I dont know what it is but it's super addicting. Unfortunately theres some sort of heavy cream or mayo or.. oil of some sort in the sauce that kind of messes with my stomach. I dont know, it's weird. The service was alright. We go a churro a la mode to finish off our meal. The churro was a little greasy but was not bad. It complemented the ice cream really well. Curious how they would present a single churro if it wasn't a la mode. I've heard their other food isn't so great... can't attest to that myself though. read more
