My co-workers and I went here for lunch. We ate inside and it was pretty busy. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate. I got it with the chicken over the rice, Greek salad, and hummus. The greek salad was good. I personally was not impressed with flavor of the shawarma chicken. My co-workers got other items and they were happy with what they got. The restaurant is very casual and the staff is friendly. I'll give it another try at some point and order something else. read more

I never write bad food reviews. This is my first one. I am an ex chef with a degree in culinary arts. I didn't like it when people complained either. Some people complain about food for the sake of complaining. I'm not like that. I'll include details of my experience. I had a horrible experience eating here today. I paid $26 dollars for three dried up obviously old decrepit falefel wrapped in a cold forlorn stale flatbread smothered in way too salty yogurt sauce with a side of blatantly old dried up fries which half were the overcooked greasy scraps and dark pieces that sit on the bottom of the bowl after they come out of the fryer. Then I got to try to wash it all down with a watery high dollar shake that they didn't even have the pride in their job to blend up! It had very little ice cream, mostly frothy milk with 2 whole dates at the bottom...oh and it came 5 minutes after the other "food" was unceremoniously dumped on the counter for me to grab. It was not busy, no line, no excuse that they were slammed. I will never EVER go back there again, nor will I ever send anyone I know there. As a matter of fact, I will warn people against going there! Beware! I'm very disappointed...it used to be pretty good. I'd give them zero if I could. read more

I love Mediterranean food especially when it it hot out. Was very hungry when I arrived at Classic Gyros. I ordered the Mixed Kabob plate. It was excellent. Plenty of steak and chicken and I love the way it was cooked. I had it with Greek salad and couscous. I like that they make pearl couscous. It comes with hummus and a large pita bread. They have a nice selection of side sauces to try. I love tzatziki so I had that. Next time I think I will try the chicken shawarma with pita wrap. They also have fresh juices, milk shakes and baklava. Baklava was nice for dessert 2 pieces for $4. The restaurant is new and nice and the service was friendly and helpful. Still the same great place we love when we are in town. The food is fresh and well made. We were able to get a child's shrimp over rice for my mother in law and she ate 2/3 of it. So she really liked it. And I liked my gyro and my husband loved his souvlaki. And you meet the coolest people there while you're waiting. read more

No problem finding parking. The place seems like just another fast food place. Was clean and you could order through a tab or order the traditional way at the counter. Mediterranean food and our party ordered bowl, chicken pesto panini and wraps. The food was okay, but not something you would die standing in line for. We frequently pass by Ridgecrest on our way to places further north on the 395. We have been consistently going to classic burgers in Inyokern for many years. We realized that we can order the same delicious burgers at classic gyros in downtown Ridgecrest. Both restaurants are owned by the same people it's just that if you go to the Ridgecrest location you can get both Greek food and hamburgers which is a winner for us. I love Greek food my husband prefers hamburger so we can both get exactly what we want there. Portions are generous, the staff is friendly the interior of the restaurant is a nice place to have a meal. Plenty of parking and feels a little bit less sketchy than in your current location which always seems to have some weird people hanging around. read more

Usually good place to go but today was horrible ordered 4 items and 2 were sides of hummus and tabouli missing things from my order when we called it was more of a fiasco than it should have been. We've been coming to this place since the previous owners but this place has gone down hill. Nobody cares in the restaurant the girls at the front counter weren't welcoming or even remotely nice but I guess that's customer service these days. Accommodating service for us first-timers. Food tasted good. The gyro pita was huge, so we thought that was a good value. The side of rice came in a thick plastic bowl, which was odd and wasteful but the rice was good. The Greek salad was very small and unimpressive. It should have come with some pita but I guess they don't do that here. I think the Cajun fries were salty but the kids liked them. The place has a nice layout and tons of inside and outside seating with shade and a big parking lot. read more

It's hard to find a good Greek restaurant we went here after my daughter's soccer game and it has to be one of the best Greek places we have gone in southern Cali. I got the gyro fries and they were amazing. My daughter got the chicken skewers and loved them. read more

I got excited when I found out classic burger bought this place because I like the food from their restaurant in inyokern. I am not into Mediterranean food so I ordered fried fish and fries, which I thought was a save bet, I was quite disappointed at what I got. I received three pieces of which that were burned. The fish didn't taste fresh and the shape looked exactly the same, just like the fish you get from frozen section. Not only that the fries was dried, like it had been cooked a few days ago and now give it to me. I tried to eat but after three piece of fries I threw them all in the garbage. I gave stars because other staff got the Mediterranean food and it looked okey But after this experience I will never come here. Can't expect them to care how your food look and taste if this is what they would serve me. read more

I've been here a couple times since it changed ownership and I've enjoyed it every time. The food is fresh and tasty. Service has always been friendly and they have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have the shakes now which are the same amazingly good shakes you get from Classic Burger. However, the chocolate shake was a let down. Definitely tasted that cheap artificial chocolate flavor. However, the strawberry shakes, pistachio shakes and oreo are delicious! I definitely want to go back to try the date shake. read more

The taste of the ingredients was fairly standard. I think the amount of feta was a little overpowering for me in total so I just ended up eating the meat which was ok. Dolmades - 4/5 - I will say their dolmades were pretty good. Rice wrapped in grape leaves...yes please. Chocolate Baklava - 2/5 - I got excited about this, but at the end of the day it was a bit sweeter than I was expecting and was a baklava with the top dipped in Chocolate. Service: 4/5 - Very friendly staff Ambiance: 3.5/5 - There were some kids in there without masks from a party that was going on in the courtyard. All of the staff had masks thankfully. Classic Gyros sells Classic Burgers. The same delicious burgers you drive all the way to Inyokern for are right in Ridgecrest. The team members are friendly, and the burgers are awesome. I haven't tried the Gyros yet, but I will update this review when I do. read more

Haven't been there in month's!!!! I just found out about the smash burger and the drive through was awesome. But hands down the smash burger was the bomb very well done and delicious Will be going back very soon , Now I don't have to go out to Inyokern to Classic Burger to get the same burger. Great place! An unexpected gem in the middle of the desert. Gyros combos are $11-15, but they give you large proportions. I got the classic chicken shwarma gyro and it had a unique spice taste, not hot. Also had the garlic fries and they went so well with the feta cheese. If I ever go back I will try the make your own gyro. I hope they can expand and become a franchise and open one near LA or Ventura. read more

I've ordered from here many, many times and it's fantastic each time- it's a shame it took me so long to leave a review. I normally get the Chicken Couscous Bowl with jalapeño hummus, a buncha veggies, feta, and garlic & tzatziki sauce with an order of Dolmas. It's so flavorful and hits the spot each time. Run! Loved this place in Ridgecrest. Absolutely worth the slight detour off the highway. The gyros was so, so tasty. The pita fresh and soft. worst experience EVER. service was extremely rude. when we got home the food seemed to be old. fries were hard as a rock , burgers had a bitter taste. we called them and asked if there anyway we could get a refund or get new food made. we then got put on hold for 30 mins but could hear them in the background talking poorly about us (if you pay 60 something dollars for food wouldn't you want it to taste good?) anyways we just hung up and now me and my family have food poisoning:). read more

We're staying in Ridgecrest tonight, and just got to our hotel. We ordered from Classic Gyros and had the food delivered (Door Dash via Toast app). I ordered the lamb burger with a Greek side salad. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. The onions and peppers and feta cheese that I added were generous. Also, the Greek Kalamata olives were generous. My wife had a gyro bowl with shwarma chicken. She was happy with the Greek olives and feta ratio in the bowl. The tahini was tasty. Highly recommended. read more
