Every single time I eat here I am impressed. We arrived late Saturday night with a party of 13, six of those being children eight and under. We were seated within 15 minutes of our arrival and our order was taken within 10 minutes of sitting down. This spot is located near Dunkin Donuts and QT. This spot serve kid's meal and it is a reasonable price too. I like there combos especially with rice and beans. There is extra charges if you substitute or fill it in with steak or chicken instead of ground beef. The included chips and salsa are awesome . DOV: Friday, Jan. 05, 2018 This was our first time back to Casa Fuentes in a while and I found it to be much the same as before. Same setup, same decor, same menu (for the most part), same level of service. I had a combination which consisted of a tostada, a bean burrito, and a cheese quesadilla. All were good...well prepared and well presented. That said, they were nothing special. This was typical, run of the mill Mexican staple food. Good, but not great) Meh for the food. I also got a side of fries (I don't know why I feel the need to order fries every time I eat Mexican food, I just do) The fries looked good but had hardly any taste. Boo for the fries. The chips were half and half...half fresh, half stale. This is the oldest trick in the book in a Mexican restaurant. Mix old chips with new ones to get rid of the old ones so not to have to waste them. It is a money saving technique that is usually easy to pass off to the customer because there are enough fresh chips in the batch to keep them from complaining. Nice try, but this ain't my first rodeo. Boo for the chips. They have a nice salsa bar with about ten different selections on it. I tried four and liked them all. I noticed that three of the salsa bins were empty - not good on a Friday night at dinner time. All things considered, I liked the salsa bar. Yay for the salsa bar. Our server was a man of few words, but he was accommodating and friendly enough, I suppose. He was good about checking on us, making sure we didn't need anything. I would rather have someone who doesn't say much than someone who gnaws my ear off when I am trying to eat and enjoy my company. So...Yay for the server. I wouldn't consider the prices particularly cheap, but they are not overpriced either. I found to be right in line with the other Mexican places I frequent. I would say you get your money's worth. I rate businesses based on a combination of factors, for example - friendliness, transparency, quality of food, attitude, etc. Casa Fuentes always serves big quantities of good tasting foods, provides complimentary chips, and a salsa bar with several options to choose from. They want you to leave fed. The staff is always welcoming, smiling, asking if you need anything additional, and yeaterday, the manager brought us more food than we ordered, we brought it to his attention, he handled it professionally, let us keep the food and explained we won't be charged for anything more than we ordered. From countless experiences here, Al Pastor tacos, Carnitas tacos, and Fajita burrito are my favorites. Burrito is easily shareable, tacos are full of flavor, filled with food, and are always fresh. The restaurant could be updated for a more modern look possibly but that's a mini issue. Out of several Mexican restaurants in the area I have visited, Casa Fuentes has been and will be my #1 choice in the area. This Mexican Restaurant is so good. Authentic Mexican food, just like they have out West. The prices are good and the libations are excellent. This place has a beautiful atmosphere with a covered bar that looks like an Adobe house, complete with a Mexican tile roof. You enter, and there is a large wagon wheel embedded into the adobe, above the entrance to the bar. The chairs have hand painted backs, there are booths along the perimeter walls, a warm and inviting atmosphere. I ordered a Pina colada, excellent, I haven't had one this good since I left Boston. The fajita, a spinach one, it was loaded with spinach, they have a bar with all sorts of authentic Mexican sauces. My husband stomp and scollops, with veggies, it was delicious. I love Mexican food. No really, I do! I love authentic Mexican meals; the kind where the salsa causes you to consume an entire basket of chips unintentionally. I was excited to find what I thought was a gem (after reading previous reviews.) Much to my surprise, this was the worst Mexican food I have had in a long time... Tasteless. The food was bland and lacked flavor. And heat. Literally, my cheese wasn't even melted when my food arrived at the table. The service is fantastic, I mean REALLY awesome, everyone from those that bring out chips, the servers, the managers, the bussers, it really seems to be a team effort and we appreciate the great customer service we get every time we come in(which we probably do once a week). I like to try to order something different off the menu every time I go, but my absolute favorites are the carnitas, enchiladas verdes, and tacos Al pastor, and my fiancé gets choripollo every time, we both love it.
