If there was a half star rating, then this is what I would give this restaurant. I ordered 5 tacos at 10:07 am and was told 30 minutes. I am going on 45 minutes and still waiting. A young girl who was here before me had to wait longer for 4 tacos. Really bad experience. Garcia's in Buda has just about the same customers and has way better turn around time and great quality in their breakfast tacos. Really bad experience. read more

Had low expectations after reading reviews but it was actually pretty good. It was busy so we sat in the bar so we didn't have to wait 20 mins to be seated. The service was pretty good for how busy is was. The waitress did a good job with recommendations. I enjoyed their margarita. Ordered Chorizo and Egg, but requested just one egg and the Chorizo.  Well surprise,  I guess the  request is just that a request,  it's up to the cook to make the final decision apparently.  Or perhaps there is a communication issue or simply just not able to follow instructions. I needed a magnifying glass to locate the Chorizo.  Beans had no taste and the coffee was horrible.  I'm still trying to figure that one out.  I don't ever plan to visit,  and definitely will not take out of town family and friends to your restaurant. read more

I Hate to do this but the food is really bad...I've had breakfast at Casa Garcia's and that was good. However today I was on my way home from work and was starving and wanted some good Tex mex food however it was very disappointing. The cheese that was smothered on the enchilada and the Tamal was like fake nacho cheese....it was so thick I had a hard time getting the enchilada and the tamal out of it.. and that tamal was so dry like dry..like dry hair..not moist at all.The crispy beef taco tasted like a taco bell taco, they dont Even fry their own tortillas. The only good thing was the Chile Relleno and homemade flour tortillas. I Feel ripped off I paid $13 for this combination plate. Not where you want to go for good food. Margs, not much better. I will say - for a Friday night as busy as they were they had some of the most friendly and hard working staff for being in the weeds. The take out service here is terrible. Multiple times I ask them if tortillas and salsa are in the bag and then get home and zero tortillas and zero salsa. One time I asked for flour and they took the corn out of the bag and brought the bag back with no tortillas. Got home and there were no tortillas. I have frequented this restaurant as we live not far from it. Tonight I called in an order of 2 beef enchiladas plate. My husband goes there to pick it up and only 1 order is given to him. He lets them know it was 2 orders. When he returns home, a 5 minute drive, the food is cool, not warm and not hot. I had ordered both flour and corn tortillas, there was none in the bag, we also did not receive any hot sauce. I get it's a Friday night and they get busy with many customers, but we are paying customers as well, when we call in an order. I expect to receive my full order and I also expect my food to bet at least warm. Not sure I will return to this restaurant again. Extremely disappointed!!! Sign on their door read they closed at 4pm on Fathers Day. I ordered and my order was wrong. Mind you I spent over $40 dollars for my daughter to have dinner after giving birth. Because they were busy, I asked to get what I had ordered. I was told the kitchen was closed. It was 3:23, mins you MY ORDER WAS INCORRECT!!! They changed their minds and decided to close at three. Not to my knowledge! I asked for a container of queso only to be told the kitchen was closed. I'm sorry but this was HORRIBLE customer service and for this I will post a bad review and never patronize again. Great place to eat! Food: Casa Garcia's is a great place to eat. Food has a traditional Mexican flavor and best of all, tortillas are made in house! When visiting this location, I always opt-in for the carne guisada plate. Meat is nice and lean with zero to no fat. This restaurant offers breakfast all day every day so that is always a PLUS! Family member opted in for chicken and beef fajita for 1 and skillet seemed a bit empty when she received it. Chicken in the fajita duo seemed dry and not as appetizing. Breakfast never disappoints. Drinks: Mixed drinks are great here. The Big Red margarita is one of my favorites. The combination of red soda and margarita mix makes the flavor great. Beer-Ritas are also a customer favorite. Service: I have been to this location many times. Service is a hit or miss depending on how busy they are. For the most part, service tends to be good. People hosting in the front area always polite and friendly. The open concept within the restaurant makes it very load, so prepare for that. Outdoor patio has nice space. Wheels were added on tables outside so it seems the table is too high for the chairs. read more

Food is alright for Kyle. We ordered favor tonight and favor completely fucked our order up which is not casa Garcia's fault butttttt they did forget to add tortillas for a fajita plate!!!!!!! So we called and the "manager" Amy was super rude, short and snappy. She was upset that favor had been messing up all night she said, not my problem or concern. My concern is how are we going to eat a fajita plate WITH NO TORTILLAS. She acted like she could care less. Offered us to come pick some up. Why would I have ordered favor?! My husband told her she was rude and then she offered to write our name down and next time we come, she'll "get us a free meal....or something." However, we continue to experience our orders being wrong when we order carryout or delivery. I've finally had enough. We have eaten here about once a week for many years. It's our go to TexMex. I've tried to be understanding since the pandemic. We always get carry out these days. Our order is missing items about 50% of the time. Most of the time I just suck it up and deal with it once I discover something is missing at home. In checking the curbside order in my car last night I found I was missing a taco, an order of queso and all the tortillas. The manager "Michael" told the curbside employee to tell me I was wrong and they packed everything. He continued to doubt my claim of missing items after I was forced to take the order inside to show him. He finally gave me my missing items without any apology. While the food is generally pretty good, We have a few TexMex choices in the Kyle area that we'll start experimenting with. read more

I came here because I love the Casa G's in Austin. Let me just say that my visit was amaaaaaaazing. Immediately, Kayla A met me at the door and welcomed me in. She was sweet, cordial and professional. After being screened for La Rona, I sat at the bar and was greeted by Samantha, the bartender. She really knew what she was doing. She welcomed everyone who sat down, called down the line while making drink from the Servers and ran her own food. She is a unicorn! But today will forever have me double think if I will ever want to revisit, Around 6:30pm I encountered a young employee who had a U.S Marine corps lanyard hanging from his pocket, Which then caught my attention and which started a small conversation about a possible job in the military in his future, Shortly after a small conversation the kid was approached by his manager and from what I heard he was told to go home... I met up with the kid outside as he was leaving and told him to find a job where he will be treated with more respect. Located in the same shopping plaza as HEB Plus in Kyle. Great patio space and even on a 90 degree day they have massive utility fans to keep you cool. Came on a Saturday for lunch and service was quick. Drinks were great and food is your usual Tex mex. By noon there was a wait and you can tell big families dig the place. They don't have drink menus and we had a sassy but great server that said the menu was in her head so just let them know what you want and they will recommend. They won me over with their Horchata. It's hard to find a Mexican restaurant that still makes it homemade & not from concentrate. Most of the food I've tried is good. Went for breakfast this morning. It was ok. As we were getting up to leave some demonstrators set up a big banner near the front door proclaiming "God's Marriage = 1 man + 1 woman." This place is not authentic at ALL. Maybe I'm spoiled as I'm from Southern California but the food was very generic. The chips tasted like they were store bought. My chicken tacos tasted generic too - the shells were definitely store bought as well. Rice was surprisingly pretty good. Margaritas were nothing to write home about either. read more
