My daughter and I were seated near the kitchen and left quickly after spotting a rather large cockroach scurry across the floor. We didn't stay long enough to place an order but the staff didn't seem concerned or surprised to hear about the infestation. I would keep driving and go to Taco Bell instead. read more

First time trying this place out while in town visiting family and we were all happy with our meals. Came in about 4 and it wasn't busy yet and we were immediately seated in a comfy booth and approached for our drink orders. We had to ask for a few extra minutes before placing our orders but thought it was super thoughtful that they asked how the check(s) should be before ordering that's kinda a rarity these days. I had a steak chimichanga plate and was very pleased with the flavor of the carne as well as the semi crisp texture think it was a bit dry but with the cheese sauce (needed more IMO) it was balanced out. I personally am not a fan of tomato's so don't eat pico but it was all taken from my plate by my husband and mom as both said the flavor was great. We're not in town often and not completely aware of all that this great small town has to offer, but will say I'm glad there is more variety and in something more than fast food! In all likelihood we'll be back next time I'm getting some cheese dip to go with the above mediocre salsa and chips! read more

Very typical Mexican restaurant with a standard menu. Being a first time customer I didn't care for the layout of the menu as I had a hard time finding what I was looking for. I ordered a taco fajita salad in a tortilla shell which is what I often get at any Mexican restaurant. Their taco salad was superior to other restaurants I have recently eaten at. It's just that the service felt very rushed in order to get everyone in and out asap. read more

I've had multiple friends tell me how great this place was...so I stopped in for the very first time last week. I was underwhelmed. As I mentioned it was my very first time there....and the waiter had absolutely no patience. I was looking over the menu debating on what to get. The waiter stopped by the table at least 4-5 times in less than 5 minutes. Every time I told him I needed a bit more time, he sighed angrily. I placed my order and he brought out chips and salsa. The salsa was extremely watered down. I prefer more of a chunky salsa...this was like salsa soup. After rushing through the menu, I just decided to go with 3 chicken tacos. What a disappointment. Tacos had very little chicken and were piled high with lettuce. Not one shred of cheese. Pretty disappointing first visit. Very impatient waiter. Watered down salsa. Tons of lettuce on the tacos, very little chicken, and no cheese. But, what can I expect from an "authentic Mexican restaurant" in Greencastle, IN? I might give them 1 more shot...or I might not. read more

Your typical Mexican restaurant, with decent service, good food, and Dos Equis Amber on draft. I have been here dozens of times, and will keep coming back. The place is clean, you can have a large party, and the food comes out quick. I recommend the 'El Gigante' burrito with chicken or steak. Ask for it muy picante, if you can handle it. I order to go so much from here the guys know me!!! I am never disappointed with my orders from here! Always fresh, tasty and hot!!!! The cheese dip is very good! I do prefer the salsa at this location vs the one that is downtown Greencastle. There is a burrito on the menu that is more of a breakfast burrito that is great! If you like breakfast burritos, you should try this one! Yum! I do enjoy their shrimp very much as well. I have never had bad shrimp at this location! Never rubbery! Casa Grande is a no-thrills Mexican restaurant, which excels in quick service. They have a very basic Tex-Mex menu, the portions are not too big, and the prices are very acceptable. The food is very decent, and actually pretty good for rural Indiana! I tend to have the Chimichanga DeLux, which includes one chicken and one ground beef chimichanga, while my wife is a big fan of the Shrimp Fajitas. The complimentary chips and salsa are pretty decent too as is the sweet Sopapilla. Casa Grande is a cheap and quick Mexican restaurant, offering decent food at very acceptable prices, which makes it one of the few decent options in Greencastle. read more

I just recently moved back to heritage lake but have been living in Florida the past 8 years and everytime I visited my grandmother out at the lake we HAD to go to this resteraunt. The queso is amazing, the chicken fajitas are always great and my fiance who HATES mexican resteraunts even found something he liked there (cause ya know.. we HAD to go weather he liked it or not ;) I believe it was the chicken nachos. Overall.. always a family favorite when in town. Hate that greencastle doesnt have a lot of options but glad this is one of them :) read more

The salsa might be better as just a bowl of gazpacho. Best bit: they had vegetarian fajitas. Not so great: a bowl of guac was $8 and the items arrived with missing ingredients/ different than menu description. read more

If you like your fajitas burnt then this is the place to eat. The last three times I ate there my fajitas came out so hot that they burnt the meat and it tasted awful. So I have learned to dump the hot fajitas onto the second plate of food. Much better, although the steak is very tough. Best chips. The lunch pork burrito is 5 stars!!! Casa Grande not only is conveniently located in Greencastle with easy access parking, but the service is usually quick even when it's busy! Their chips and salsa are endless and I highly recommend their fajitas or arroz con pollo. Margaritas are cheaper in comparison to other restaurants I have been. Again, i can't believe this place is Greencastle. They even have Mexican waiters here. Nice Mexican music. My three friends and I arrived here early one evening and were seated at a table for eight as we waited for our friends. After 15 minutes had passed, we were finally asked what we wanted to drink and given chips and salsa, our drinks soon following. After 30 minutes, the hostess came back to ask if she could take our extra place settings (to which we were confused, but allowed her to do so since the rest of our group must have forgotten to come). Once we realized that not a single waiter had addressed our four person table asking if we would like to order anything at all, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. On our way out, our hostess and a waiter suddenly realized that they were losing business and told us not to worry about paying for the drinks. However, I am definitely never going there again.
