This place is super cute! We were greeted immediately when we walked in, and though it was pretty quiet at first, about 20 minutes in, the place started to fill up. We were brought chips and salsa right away, but unfortunately we never got any water, which we thought was weird. We kicked things off with spicy margaritas and asked for extra spice--but they ended up tasting more like juice, which was disappointing. For food, I ordered the cheese enchiladas with shredded chicken and mexican rice. It was decent, but nothing mind-blowing. My fiancé had the chicken quesadilla, which was on the dry side. Our server was very friendly and attentive, though, and we decided to give the churros a try for dessert. They were just okay--not bad, but not great either. All in all, not sure if we'll be back, but I'd definitely recommend checking it out for yourself if you're in the area! read more

Nothing much to say other than it's fine. Their alcohol license expired, so they can't serve any drinks, but all the signage for margaritas and beer is still out... I ordered a combo platter of three different items, it arrived and they were basically three of the same thing all covered in the same sauce. Chips and salsa was fine, had a good amount of heat, is on the runnier/watery side. If I'm in a pension this area, it would be fine for a quick meal, but I wouldn't go out my way to go here again. read more

After a long four hours of car dealership nonsense, I was rewarded with lunch and chose Los Patios. It was a very good choice. Okay, so this is Saturday lunch so the restaurant was not terribly busy. We were seated immediately and drinks were quick to come. Refills were spot on and our server was very good! As for the food? It was as expected for a casual Mexican food experience. Bring from Dallas with lots of great Mexican good my daughter was skeptical of eating at a Mexican restaurant in Indiana. But it was fast and good service with good good. Ordered the pollo loco real specialty and it was excellent! I would probably order the polo loco specialty next time where the chicken is cut up in smaller strips. I requested the salsa Verda as a side and it was excellent! Their regular (red) salsa is very good too. Service was excellent! Just went in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised to see that they added outdoor seating. I was a little nervous after reading a few of the more recent reviews about social distancing but they seemed to be following all the guidelines. We sat outside because it was a nice day but everyone seated inside was spaced more than 6 feet apart. All the staff were wearing masks and gloves. Still my favorite place to go for lunch around work. Except now all I want is a nap, not to finish out my Friday afternoon workday responsibilities. read more

This was my first time visiting this location on Kentucky Avenue or Highway 67. It is smaller than the large Speedway location but very cute with fun decorative booths. Seating includes 4 and 6-top tables with 15 booths along the outside of the dining area. Patio seating is very limited but available. The chips and salsa arrived very quickly as well as my server. The chips are thicker but good for dipping the mild, tasty salsa. The menu offers all the standard items with many appetizers, salads, fajitas, quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, steaks, chicken and seafood entrees. The lunch menu is served 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. with a nice selection of most categories. I ordered the Enchiladas Encremadas which is 3 enchiladas with choice of ground beef or my choice of spicy chicken topped with enchilada and cheese sauce and a dollop of sour cream served with rice and beans. I truly enjoyed the delicious red enchilada sauce and the creamy cheese sauce covering the enchiladas along with the tender, shredded, spicy chicken. The sour cream was a pleasant addition since many restaurants are charging extra for sour cream. For dessert, I ordered the creamy Flan which didn't disappoint. It wasn't in a sauce but drizzled with chocolate syrup and two dollops of whipped cream. I would order both the enchiladas and flan again. My server did a great job once we tackled the language barrier. He checked on me several times, food arrived hot and timely, removed dirty dishes quickly and he was pleasant. If we're in the neighborhood again I wouldn't mind dining here again. read more

Went here for Mother's Day with my entire family and the service was great and the food was excellent! Despite it being super busy, we were quickly seated and served. Food was served to our party of ten in about 15 minutes! All of the options are pretty typical of what you'd find at a hole in the wall, Mexican restaurant, but what set this place apart was definitely the service! Oh man.....soooo hungry and such high hopes, but mediocre at best, is all I can use to describe it. Ambiance is awkward with lowered ceiling, fluorescent lighting (bring your sunglasses) and so many tables and chairs in a small space that you can't weigh more than 150lbs. to squeeze through. I got the Special, which is basically one of everything, and a margarita. The margarita wasn't impressive. It tasted like their mix sat on a dusty shelf for a year or more. As for the food....I may have had 6 different items to choose from, but each item tasted exactly the same. No flavor at all. Salt and spices were seriously lacking. Ground beef and dried shredded chicken were just that...no more, no less. And dont get me started on the refried beans! No bueno. Apparently a converted Dairy Queen, Los Patios has a very unique layout and decor. The first thing you notice when you walk in Are the various colors of the tables and chairs. Separating the dining area and the kitchen is a big wall that was obviously the counter of the DQ. The prices are good in the specials are even better. They have beer and margarita deals for every day of the week. As for food, I ordered the wet burrito and it came out covered and delicious cheese, just as promised. While it was not the Burrito Gigante, it was still gigantic. The service was good and the orders were accurate. I would definitely return if I were in the area and craving Mexican food. read more

We were excited to try Los Patios. Since their parking lot is often full during dinner, we figured it had to be good. Other Yelpers photos of the menu helped us choose our meals and I was tasked with calling in our order. I was told our order would be ready in 10 minutes. Pretty good for a Friday night! After paying for our 3 meals, the guy comes back and says they are out of hamburgers. So they couldn't make the kids meal that was ordered for our son. He tried talking us in to getting something else, but there wasn't anything else our son wanted. We already knew that now we had to stop at another restaurant on the way home to get our son dinner, so we really just wanted our refund and to get going. He finally refunded in cash and we left. Needless to say, dinner was lukewarm when we finally got home. Price wise, it's pretty good for the amount of food you get. Hubby and I both got chimmichanga's, me chicken and him beef. He didn't care for the beef at all. The meat was like the "ground hamburger" in Taco Bell tacos. (Eww) The chicken was ok. Nothing spectacular and in need of some seasoning. The refried beans were dry and pastey. Maybe it tastes better when it's fresher. It definitely didn't seem fried in the least, either. read more

They've recently redone parts of the interior which was badly needed, but I still feel like it's crowded inside with all the tables and big chairs. Also, you can tell the floor is the same from when it used to be a Dairy Queen... The food is just ok. Classic Mexican dishes but nothing really strikes me as unique from here. I've gone for their taco fajita salad a couple times and it's no better than the next place. The service is also just ok. Came here with a group of friends to fuel up after a hike to celebrate Earth Day. We were hoping that they would have outdoor seating given that it's still COVID times, but none were available. We were immediately seated in a booth with long dividers between each table. We all ordered a pitcher of regular margs to share. They were....okay. Syrupy tasting and you could tell it wasn't super fresh, sadly. I also ordered one of the vegetarian meals. It came with a huge burrito, a tostada, and another item I cannot recall. They had an easy "vegetarian" section of the menu so that made it very helpful. All of the items were very tasty...what I would expect in a typical American / Mexican style of restaurant. During the training break, me and other colleagues decided to have a lunch at this place. The outside of the cafe looked unkempt and not welcoming. However, after the entering the place, it was colorful interior and smiley hostess. We got the table in seconds and we're ready to order. The waitress was nice and patient with a group of 6 people. Everyone alternated their order and the waitress did not have any concerns- that was nice! The order came fast. We all were surprised by the portions- they were huge! No one finished their dish lol I liked the food, fast service and friendly prices. The minuses would be that the place wasn't very clean and we waited for our bills. also, they didn't have cups for tea. I got my tea in the plastic cup and it was warmed by microwave... We've been patronizing played by his restaurant since they open. It's usually been pretty good. But tonight they brought my wife the totally wrong order. She sent it back. The exact same wrong order came back. My dinner had ice cold rice and beans. I sent it back twice and each time they came back ice cold. I asked to speak to a manager 4 times over the course of 30 minutes. One finally came over. To fix our complaints the manager took off our 2 soft drinks. Oh wow thanks. We won't be back. I always hate giving the two-star review, but "Meh. I've experienced better." really sums up my experience. Understand, they have been open less than a week. However, I read the reviews of their Danville location and was very excited for tasty food. This was not tasty. Everyone at our table agreed that the food did not taste bad, it just did not taste like anything. We were pretty sure the ground beef was devoid of even salt. We doused all our food in salt, hot sauce, and salsa. I am chalking this up to being new and plan to go back in a month or two. Caveat: This restaurant had only been open a day or two when we visited. I had high hopes for this place as I drive by this location at least twice a week. It looks the part of your standard Americanized Mexican restaurant (bright gaudy decor, plastic menu with dozens of combinations of tacos/enchiladas/tostadas/burritos, huge bowls of complimentary tortilla chips and salsa), but the food doesn't even meet the low standards that I have for those types of restaurants. The food was cooked properly and didn't taste bad, but that is because it had almost no flavor whatsoever. I got some kind of enchilada platter (one chicken, one ground beef, one cheese, one bean) and they tasted almost exactly the same. The ground beef, in particular, was particularly disconcerting. I have never seen ground beef such a pale color which means no seasoning. The chicken was just like your run-of-the-mill boneless skinless chicken breast that was boiled, cut up, and rolled into an enchilada. The enchilada sauce also was lacking for flavor. I used almost a whole bottle of the ubiquitous table hot sauce (El Yucateco) to kick up the taste. My house margarita was definitely the tastiest part of my meal. Do you know why that is? It's probably only thing that was served to me that even had a touch of salt. I am willing to give this place a pass as they had just opened. However, I know that the owners also have an outpost in Danville that has been open for years and is very popular. I wonder why that didn't immediately translate to success (flavor-wise) to here? read more
